Conflict prevention is the primary objective of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD). Despite efforts made by the institution, it has, however, not succeeded in preventing conflict in Ethiopia. IGAD, like other sub-regional institutions in Africa, has established an early warning early response mechanism and a Mediation Support Unit that is aimed at preventing conflicts. The study examines the legal and institutional framework of IGAD for conflict prevention. A qualitative case study research design was employed in this study. Purposive and snowball sampling were used to select eighteen informants for the study, and data was collected using semi-structured in-depth interviews, document reviews, and literature reviews. Five themes have been identified for data analysis. The findings show that the legal and institutional framework of IGAD is relevant for preventing conflict, however, it has identified several limitations within and beyond the scope of the legal and institutional framework.

The much we know about the mental health of internally displaced persons (IDPs) today comes from studies conducted with IDPs who stay in displacement camps. Little is known about IDPs' mental health and experiences living outside the camps. This qualitative study explored the lived experiences of IDPs living outside displacement camps in Nigeria. Participants were eight IDPs ( Mage = 36, SD = 1.6) selected from villages in Benue, Nigeria. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews and studied using a hermeneutic phenomenological approach. Overarching themes from the data analysis suggested regret, worry, anxiety, prolonged grief, suicidal ideation, depression, and cumulative trauma. Collectively, these themes indicate the possible presence or emergence of psychopathologies. The findings from the study point to the urgent and compelling need for targeted mental health services for not just IDPs within displacement camps but also those who stay outside the displacement camps.

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between teacher's commitment and turnover intentions among the teachers working in secondary schools in the district of Lahore. The data was collected through a self-design questionnaire from 235 male and female teachers of Lahore who were selected by simple random method of sampling. Graphs correlations t-test and one-way ANOVA were used through the SPSS software package for the data analysis. Findings indicate no significant relationship exists between teachers' commitment and turnover intentions. However, it is found that the teachers' Commitment among the females is higher than that of the male teachers and the teachers' turnover intention among the male and female teachers is the same. It is recommended to increase teachers' commitment and decrease turnover intentions in Lahore by providing incentives and rewards.For turnover intention, it is recommended that teachers' jobs should be permanent.

This study examines the effect of the relationship between job insecurity, workload, and work stress on turnover intention among BUMDes Sumber Sejahtera. The population in this study is all employees in BUMDes Sumber Sejahtera. This research is explanatory research with a quantitative approach which collects data by distributing questionnaires to 126 respondents. Data analysis used partial least squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that job insecurity, workload, and work stress significantly affected turnover intention. Likewise, job insecurity and workload had a significant effect on work stress. The results of this study also show that work stress has a significant impact on turnover intention. Furthermore, work stress partially mediates the effect of job insecurity and workload on turnover intention. The results of this study suggest that BUMDes Sumber Sejahtera can improve the strategy to keep and maintain the employee to stay at their work.

This study examines the effect of information technology and organizational culture on employee performance through mediating employee engagement among Primary Tax Service Office employees in the Directorate General of Taxes East Java III scope. The population in this study consists of 369 employees of the Pratama Tax Service Office. This explanatory research uses a quantitative approach that collects data by distributing questionnaires. However, only 277 respondents collected the questionnaire again. This study uses probability sampling with a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis used partial least squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that information technology and organizational culture positively and significantly impacted employee performance. Also, employee engagement had a significant impact on employee performance. According to the mediation test findings, employee engagement partially mediates the relationship between information technology, organizational culture, and employee performance. The findings are expected to be used by organizations in their improvement efforts.

The focus of this study is to investigate the major factors influencing entrepreneurial intent and behavior, by addressing the role of entrepreneurial education, business opportunity recognition, and the need for achievement. The research data were collected online using a self-administered questionnaire among 148 Moroccan women having completed an entrepreneurship training program. The data analysis using a PLS-SEM provided evidence of the positive impact of entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial self-efficacy and PBC. Likewise, the findings supported the direct impact of subjective norms and entrepreneurial self-efficacy on entrepreneurial attitude. Furthermore, entrepreneurial attitude, business opportunity recognition, and the need for achievement were identified as predictors of entrepreneurial intent, leading to enhanced entrepreneurial behavior. These results highlight a number of useful practical recommendations for public policy-makers on how to stimulate and encourage entrepreneurship initiatives among women.

Smartphone-based learning media is an alternative for developing learning media that can infiltrate the limitations of space and time. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of smartphone media for learning in the 4.0 era from media developed using the SAC (Smart Apps Creator) application. This research and development type uses the Hannafin & Peck design model. The research subjects used a purposive sample technique from 35 students of class XI IPS 3 SMA Jepon, Blora Regency, Central Java. Data analysis using Mixed Methods, data obtained by filling out checklists, questionnaires, and filled tests to conclude its effectiveness. Based on the research results, SAC (Smart Apps Creator) media is fun, easy to understand, interesting, practical, and not boring. The level of complete learning reached 91.4%. Students become accustomed to using technology 4.0 in learning, so they are expected to develop critical, creative, communicative, and collaborative thinking.

The research investigates the effect of the adaption of technology on the recruitment processes in Pakistan. The use of the digital recruitment process, technology in recruitment, talent acquisition, and quality of recruitment are independent variables, whereas the efficiency of the recruitment process is the dependent variable in this study. The study collects data from 200 HR managers of Pakistan employed in several organizations using close-ended questionnaires. The data analysis was carried out using SPSS software. This research suggests that there is a significant positive relationship between the dependent and independent variables. The study adds to the literature on the impact of technology adaptation on recruitment efficiency in the developing world. This study also suggests that top management and HR practitioners must implement specific actions to foster a positive attitude towards technology adaptation in employee recruitment. The study also provides the avenue to study further the use of technology in HR.

This study aimed to determine the social media promotion effect on travel decisions. This research design is survey research. The population in this study was people who searched for tourist information and made travel decisions. The sampling techniques in this study used purposive sampling with 110 samples. The data collection technique used a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used to answer the research hypothesis is a simple regression test. This research indicates that there was a positive effect of social media promotion on travel decisions. The results of this study were the coefficient of determination (R2) which is 66.2%, the results of the Fcount test are 211.612 with a significance value of 0.000, then the t-count results are 14.547 with a significance value of 0.000. These results show that promotion through social media simultaneously and significantly influences travel decisions.

AbstractThis study unfolds the nexus between green investment (GI), the sustainable business performance (SBP) of small‐ and medium‐sized enterprises by exploring the mediating role of corporate social responsibility (CSR), and green innovation (GIN) in the context of an emerging economy. A well‐structured questionnaire was used for data collection. A total of 556 valid responses from directors and managers were received and used for data analysis. The Smart PLS version 3.3.2 was employed to analyse and investigate the relationships between the constructs and the latent variables. Our findings provide an insight into how GI can boost SBP in the context of CSR and GIN partially mediating this relationship. This research implies that, businesses, which implement GI, GIN and CSR to promote bringing long‐term and sustainable benefits to businesses and stakeholders for SBP to help businesses, develop sustainably in the new context.

This article presents a study on consequences of the Italian prison health care reform in rela-tion to the issue of prisoners' continuity of care. The research relies on qualitative data collected through semi-structured interviews conducted with 25 health care professionals working in eight prison facilities in northern Italy. From data analysis three themes particularly relevant for the research question emerged. The first theme concerns the difficulties in managing the specific needs of detained patients; the second concerns the role of the National Healthcare System for the most vulnerabilized prisoners; and the last explore the relationship between prison and local health services after prison release. Results highlight some critical issues in the treatment of detained patients and in the relationship between prisons and local health ser-vices. The role of this issues in hindering continuity of care for the prison population are critically discussed.

This study aims to describe and explain the Implementation of Political Party Functions in the Recruitment of National Democratic Party Cadre (NAsDEM) Makassar City to get votes in the 2024 election, as well as widening the number of members with a recruitment mechanism that can be used as a mass basis of votes in facing the 2024 election. This type of research is using qualitative methods to describe and explain the Implementation of Political Party Functions as Recruitment for Cadre of the National Democratic Party (NAsDEM) Makassar City. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using interactive model. The results showed that the Implementation of the Functions of Political Parties as Recruitment for Cadre of the National Democratic Party (NAsDEM) Makassar City, that the NasDem Party had an open recruitment pattern and a closed recruitment pattern.

This study aims to describe the educational policies issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology and the decisions taken by Senior High School 1 Rupat (SMAN 1 Rupat) as an effort to continue education during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data was collected by means of literature study, interviews, documents and observations. Data analysis was carried out by adopting an interactive model from Miles and Huberman. The results of the study show that flexibility is the goal of the issuance of policies and decisions taken by the government and schools with the aim of maintaining student safety from Covid-19 and minimizing the impact of learning loss. The challenge in the future is to find a model of resilience that can be maximized to restore Indonesian education.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial motivation on the formation of the entrepreneurial spirit of green students. This is because movements in Indonesia are still a problem that needs attention. The government's effort to overcome this problem is by requiring every university in Indonesia to add a compulsory subject, namely entrepreneurship, one of which has been implemented in the Office Administration Education Study Program, State University of Surabaya. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, then sampling using probability sampling with a simple random sampling technique. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire with closed questions. As for the data analysis in this study using multiple linear regression. After the observations were made, it turned out that only a few students had implemented the learning both theory and practice that they had acquired during the entrepreneurship course.

The objective of this study is to examine the role of public participation, local wisdom, and sufficiency economy to enhance tourism attraction. This study preferred to examine the relationship between public participation, local wisdom, sufficiency economy, sustainable tourism heritage and tourism attraction. To attain the study objective, a survey questionnaire was used for data collection. Population of the study is the government and private tourism organizations, and employees of these tourism organizations working in Thailand were considered as respondents. The survey received 205 valid responses and used in data analysis. This study used Partial Least Square (PLS) to test the relationship between variables. Results of PLS structural model proposed the important contribution of public participation in tourism attraction. Public participation has the potential to enhance local wisdom and sufficiency economy which has relationship with sustainable tourism heritage. Further, the increase in sustainable tourism heritage increases the tourism attraction.
