This paper examines how liberal discourses and moral sensibilities concerning the management of life turn into a war against life in the name of life itself. In particular it asks, under what conditions is the right to make killable, to allow to live, or to expose to death exercised in relation to rural landscapes and populations in southern Colombia. This paper is interested in thinking-with and living-with those landscapes whose human and non-human populations find themselves the object of, as well as inadvertently confronted by and entangled with, emergent forms of death. It also poses questions about what modes of resilience, embedded in struggle rather than transcendence, may be emerging out of 'wounded spaces' that have been fractured by violence, and that are pitted with sites where life (in its largest sense) has been irretrievably torn.

'Domestication' is the turning of feminism into a discourse which, rather than challenging and transforming the existing status quo, and particularly the capitalistic mode of production and the whole of practices and ideologies connected to this latter, serves as its support. Why and with what results, such a turning towards Domestication has taken place? This article contributes to this largely debated issue by proposing to think that the domestication of feminism is linked to the domination of 'Gender' as an analytical and political tool.

What it is euphemistically called the right to die is not a right nor something worthy. The autonomy of the person has been considered as the foundation to legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia, however the decision adopted by the Court in this sense does not reaffirm the autonomy. It rather changes public policies; thus, it protects those who are more vulnerable. The message that this decision gives is that law and society think that it is acceptable to kill a person who asks for euthanasia and that it would be killing on his behalf. In Colombia what before was called murdering by compassion, will now be called medical treatment. What is in risk is to recognize that, once the power is granted to kilI, it will not be restricted by norms.
In this paper I explore the potential link between Plan Colombia and violence with a new perspective. I focus the analysis only on the first three running years of the program (2000-2002) in order to avoid the overlapping effect with a security policy sta

; In the context of the investigation concerning territorialization of death in a border region composed by the ancient states of Cauca and Antioquia during the second half of the nineteenth century in Colombia, the case of death in Riosucio, a municipality located in the West of the Department of Caldas is extrapolated. The objective is to make an approximation to the history of death in this municipality during the nineteenth century, considering that it has been a different ethnic groups establishment where different political conflicts reflected both on the origins of its foundation, in funeral practices, and in the existence of numerous cemeteries. The conceptual guidelines of Ariès (1984), Elias (2009) and Vovelle's (1985) approximation to bibliographical sources method have been followed methodologically in the analysis of death certificates and pastoral orders found in the San Sebastian de Riosucio church.

The main object of this work is to study the coins' iconography of virtues from the antonine dynasty (96 d.C - 192 d.C) during the Early Roman Empire. This work is focused on the meaning of these virtues emitted after the death and deification of empresses. These virtues can be employed to acknowledge the role played by these women in Roman politics. Besides, studying virtues is a good way to analyse the biography of these Roman empresses and therefore, their public image. This study pretends to contribute to provide information about Women and Roman History. In order to achieve these goals, it is necessary to make a comparison between which virtues are emitted during their lives and which ones after their deaths. This study follows a methodology usually employed on Women History, so gender is used to analyse power relationships in the past.
