Sessualità: Differenze Diritti Rappresentazioni ; Sexuality: differences, rights, rappresentations
In particolare, spicca la discussione intorno all'omosessualità. ; These pages describe some of the most important questions of the historical and cultural interpretation of the information about sexuality. The discussion about homosexuality, in particular, stands out. It reconstructs the historical path of the homosexuality presence in society and in popular culture, avoiding the current exaltation of the freedom of the pagans rather than Christians. The essays collected here pose well in evidence as the path of the idea of "naturalness" or otherwise of unnatural perversion was not at all linear but, on the other hand, wavering. Perhaps more linear, although complex from a theoretical point of view as well as political, was the path of emancipatory movements in the contemporary world. They are the expression of diversity within them. After the generation of the early years that claimed the right to the simple recognition of differences, was followed by that who played a critical eye the same naturalness of the entire sexual spectrum. Therefore gender studies, insisting on the difference between gender and sex, have always understood the "genre" as a cultural and social construction, and have even, denied the same naturalness of a concept like sex. It follows from this setup, the centrality of the study on subjectivity, also expressed through the arts.

Interpreting difference to plan inclusion in school ; Interpretare la differenza per progettare l'inclusione a scuola
When facing changes induced by economic rationales rather than processesof critical emancipation, educators need to consolidate hermeneutic approachesto guarantee effective protection of differences, encourage divergentthinking, and increase democratic paths within pedagogic action. Ahorizon of meaning that is no longer dogmatic will thus provide the backdropto a new paideia. The paradigm of difference can thereby become akey to a present that does not wish to erase the past and has the ambitionto build the future through a participated and participating dialogue, in thename of common growth. In this dialectic within galaxies, however, the individualvuniverses should not lose their specificity. In the new paideia, universes of differences are places of and for mutual understanding. It is publiceducation's duty to promote cohabitation, solidarity and active citizenshipas strategies for inclusion and overcoming inequalities, wherever theymay arise.

Treća misija sveučilišta - osnovne razlike u pristupima ; Third mission of the university – basic differences in approaches
; The traditional and basic missions of the university, teaching and research are expanding. Terminology on the third mission of the university is gaining wide scope at the global level. The aim of this paper is to study basic similarities and differences in approach to the third mission of the university by comparing American to European universities. The starting point for comparing these approaches is the fact that the third mission of the university has its origins in the American continent, while the creation of the university is linked to Europe. The aim of this paper is to specify the following tasks: to examine the impact of global education policies on approaches to the third mission of the university; to examine the differences in ...

Special education and inclusion. Between identity and differences ; Pedagogia speciale e pedagogia dell'inclusione. Tra identità e differenze
This contribution is part of a wide debate aimed at promoting reflections on the contributions of special pedagogy and pedagogy of inclusion in order to enhance and harmonize differences. We intend to propose a reading key that, through the analysis of some theoretical paradigms on issues such as citizenship, diversity and limit, questions the identity and the difference in concept between special education and inclusion pedagogy. It can be said that the two lexical expressions, in a mirror perspective and with an interconnected vision, try to decode human development, its evolution, its vulnerability and / or potential: these aspects require incisive political‐educational actions to achieve that kind of social justice, value in place, inherent in inclusion. It is therefore an effort to reconceptualize, to revisit semantics that, in light of national and international literature, becomes added value and transversal to build a generative welfare: this horizon that stands as a backdrop for a new ethical intentionality, aimed at defining operational hypothesis to manage the new and many conditions of diversity with a critical commitment, continuously attentive to personal and contextual change.

SLIČNOSTI I RAZLIČITOSTI POVIJESNIH GRADOVA KAO TURISTIČKIH DESTINACIJA ; SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES OF HISTORICAL CITIES AS TOURISM DESTINATIONS
; Every single historical city is par excellence a tourism destination. This derives simply from the definition of tourism and of the tourist. As a tourist destination, every historical city does not carry the same meaning to all tourists. The aim and purpose of tourism oriented development of a historical city must be different from tourism development of other tourism destinations. Very often the cities with very rich history attract many visitors, but they do not stay in them long. This situation raises a number of economic questions and dilemmas of how to reconcile the costs of preserving and maintaining the historical monuments with the benefit of tourist consumption made by visitors who come and stay in such cities albeit just for a short time. This is a question of tourism development policy itself: how to expand a tourism offer in order to keep the visitors longer, without damaging the harmony and physical environment of historical cities. Very often it is the matter of old and modern coexisting at the same place, of ethics, tradition, culture, architecture etc., as well as of economic concerns. The paper raises more questions than it will give answers, but it attempts to highlight the problem from the theoretical side.

Migracijske politike Europske unije i Australije: sličnosti i razlike ; Migration Policies of the EU and Australia: Similarities and Differences Abstract
Brojni su push and pull uzročni faktori. ; Migration is a phenomenon present throughout human history, as a need and a necessity. There are numerous push and pull factors which cause it. Modern mass migration is mostly marked as "relocating people who in combination with escape from war, dysfunctional management systems, climate change and poverty try to reach safer and economically developed countries". Although most of the current world population of migrants is located in countries of Asia and Africa, the greatest attention was paid to cases where small groups are trying to reach the European Union countries, Australia or the USA. Though in-migration is a necessity in these countries, they are not ready for large inflows of migrants and they want this process to unwind during a longer period of time. For this purpose, they develop a number of policies, measures and mechanisms, which are also the subject of analysis in this paper. This research is especially focused on the context of creation and comparison of the migration policy and procedures of the European Union and Australia, their similarities and differences.

Spolno i jezično u opusu Adriane Cavarero: onkraj jednakosti i različitosti ; Sexual and Linguistic in the Work of Adriana Cavarero: Beyond Equality and Difference
; The paper examines the relationship between the sexual and linguistic and their mutual influence within the fields of political philosophy, linguistics, and theory of text, in selection from Adriana Cavarero's work. First, we begin from the knowledge of poststructuralist text theory, psychoanalytic feminism and psycholinguistics, which are later expanded with the results from political philosophy with special emphasis on ancient texts. Cavarero's texts are being analysed to describe the features through which the relationship between gender, sex and text is established. Through a critical exploration of Cavarero's texts and previous theoretical discussions and the analysis results, a conclusion about the influence of the sexual on language and culture and the influence of language and cultural symbols on social and gender roles is reached.

Demografski procesi u Hrvatskoj i u zapadnoeuropskim zemljama – razlike, sličnosti i specifičnosti ; Demographic Processes in Croatia and Western European Countries – Differences, Similarities and Specificities
; In this paper, main demographic processes and demographic balance in Croatia and in 18 Western European countries, mostly EU members, have been compared. The conclusion was that demographic processes in Croatia differed from the ones in the said Western European countries during previous two and a half decades. Among the analysed countries, Croatia was the only one with a permanent yearly decrease in the total population number during previous two and a half decades, while the analysed Western European countries have synchronously recorded a constant increase in the total population number. The analysis of the structure of the demographic balance of Croatia and the said countries shows – according to its basic components – a significantly different structure. In Croatia, above all, both summary components of the demographic balance are negative, so that the decrease in the total population number has been synchronously conditioned by natural population decrease and negative migration balance. However, this structure is different in the analysed Western European countries. It is evident that the increase in the total population number in these countries has been synchronously conditioned by positive migration balance and positive natural change, i.e. natural population increase. These aggregate and structural characteristics of the final result of demographic balance and its structures in Croatia and in the said countries have had an entirely different influence on future demographic movements and changes of the structures in Croatia and in the said countries: in Croatia, projections indicate that unfavourable demographic changes will become intensified in the future; while in Western European countries, they foresee a further increase in the total population number, in particular population capable for work, which is related to future positive structural demographic changes.

A microarray study of carpet-shell Clam (Ruditapes decussatus) shows common and organ-specific growth-related gene expression differences in gills and digestive gland
Growth rate is one of the most important traits from the point of view of individual fitness and commercial production in mollusks, but its molecular and physiological basis is poorly known. We have studied differential gene expression related to differences in growth rate in adult individuals of the commercial marine clam Ruditapes decussatus. Gene expression in the gills and the digestive gland was analyzed in 5 fast-growing and five slow-growing animals by means of an oligonucleotide microarray containing 14,003 probes. A total of 356 differentially expressed genes (DEG) were found. We tested the hypothesis that differential expression might be concentrated at the growth control gene core (GCGC), i.e., the set of genes that underlie the molecular mechanisms of genetic control of tissue and organ growth and body size, as demonstrated in model organisms. The GCGC includes the genes coding for enzymes of the insulin/insulin-like growth factor signaling pathway (IIS), enzymes of four additional signaling pathways (Raf/Ras/Mapk, Jnk, TOR, and Hippo), and transcription factors acting at the end of those pathways. Only two out of 97 GCGC genes present in the microarray showed differential expression, indicating a very little contribution of GCGC genes to growth-related differential gene expression. Forty eight DEGs were shared by both organs, with gene ontology (GO) annotations corresponding to transcription regulation, RNA splicing, sugar metabolism, protein catabolism, immunity, defense against pathogens, and fatty acid biosynthesis. GO term enrichment tests indicated that genes related to growth regulation, development and morphogenesis, extracellular matrix proteins, and proteolysis were overrepresented in the gills. In the digestive gland overrepresented GO terms referred to gene expression control through chromatin rearrangement, RAS-related small GTPases, glucolysis, and energy metabolism. These analyses suggest a relevant role of, among others, some genes related to the IIS, such as the ParaHox gene Xlox, CCAR and the CCN family of secreted proteins, in the regulation of growth in bivalves ; This study was financed by grants AGL2010-16743 and AGL2013-49144-C3-3-R from the Dirección General de Investigación Científica y Técnica of the Spanish Government, and co-financed by COMPETE Program and by Portuguese National Funds through PEst-255 C/MAR/LA0015/2011 project and by the Portuguese FCT through UID/Multi/04326/2013 project. L'ipotesi del meticciato in America latina. Dal multiculturalismo neoliberale alle differenze come forme di contenzioso ; From the Neoliberal Multiculturalism to Differences as Forms of Litigation. The Hypothesis of Metissage in Latin America
; The dispute on métissage starts to play a fundamental role in Latin America inside the modernist debates about the national unity between the end of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX century, to later acquire an unprecedented global diffusion in the eighties and the nineties of the last century. Using the writings of the Bolivian sociologist Silvia River Cusicanqui and of the Argentinian anthropologist, who has long since been active in Brazil, Rita Segato, the essay reconstructs the historic and political happening of métissage in Latin America. The authors show that it is an historical concept which worked as an instance of legitimation both in the period of colonial oppression and later in the epoch of republican modernization. It represents the instrument to hide – if not to delete – the original character of modern State; for this reason it has been able to play a fundamental role in the epoch of liberalism as much as in the neoliberal one. However in métissage what is also at stake is that it can express the radically de-colonizing impulse of the differences as forms of litigation which inhabit the complex contemporary Latin American territories. ; Fil: Gago, Maria Veronica.
