There is evidence of the character of subsistence of peasant production, the use of family labor force, and the (non)accumulation of capital, the relationship of subordination against other classes, and the family as a transverse axis, among other factors found in farming units, which are located in the municipalities of El Santuario and Marinilla, State of Antioquia (Colombia).
; info:eu-repo/semantics/nonPublished
This article is about politics of difference and sameness that accompany the enactment of globality. Is about the dynamic of the imperial globality and its global regime of coloniality as one of the most salient features of the modern colonial world system in the early twenty-first century. It is also, in a literal sense, about the geopolitics of knowledge. It develops its argument, in part, borrowing from Joan Martinez Alier's definition of political ecology as the study of ecological distribution conficts. It argues that a Eurocentric globality has an obligatory counterpart in the systematic act of encubrimiento del otro. A kind of "global coloniality". Six concepts are key to understand this argument: place, capital, nature, development e identify. Colombia is a theater of this imperial globality.
ABSTRACT This article establishes the theoretical and analytical relationships between urban social segregation and the African American ethnic group, highlighting the levels of poverty and violence that this population experiences. The autor demonstrates how any social process that concentrates poverty, also concentrates crime and violence, creating an ecological niche characterized by high risk of physical injury, violent death and criminal victimization. The article concludes with and interesting reflection about public policy, indicating that if violent cycle that exists continues without a political intervention of desegregation, the multiple problems created by the coincidence of black poverty and segregation will be perpetuared.
; Abstract: Political ideology and the institutional model produce "cognitive frames" and "institutional frameworks" that favor different kinds of choices and behaviors. Political Ecology, as a generator of cognitive (ideology) and institutional (government policies) frameworks, can help Agroecology to design cognitive and institutional arrangements and thus develop sustainable rural development.
Thinkers such as Ulrich Beck or Peter Sloterdijk argue that the world is compact (that is, that in it action does not escape global systemic consequences). From this basis, I argue for the necessity of global citizenship, that is, of civilian political activism that transcends national boundaries. Bearing in my mind the difficulties to global citizenship outlined by Orion Kriegman, I propose that the idea of extended self, taken from Arne Naess' Deep Ecology, can provide a basis for overcoming said difficulties.
Primary education in Mexico is facing a growing set of challenges that the government has tried to counteract through the use of communication technologies (ICT) in formal education. While these efforts provide support for students and educators, there remains a need for a renewed and contextualized awareness that will re-conceptualize the adverse experiences of students and the importance of resilience in the context of the learning environment. The objective of this document is to give an account of the learning acquired by nine telesecondary students in a rural area of Hidalgo and the student's benefits of building awareness about the ecology of learning. The paper highlights the process of re-envisioning their experiences that emerged from the various points of views shared in discussion. The study was triangulated by quantitative and qualitative phenomenological and hermeneutical analyses. It was organized into three stages and employed a survey, semi-structured interviews, focus groups and use of the Google-Classroom platform. The hermeneutical analysis of autobiographies and the use of technological resources enhanced the personal analysis of the experiences of the participants. These experiences generated learning that may often be invisible in formal education but can empower critical thinking, collaboration and autonomy of students to become aware of their learning and the scope of their social contribution.

The processes of territories governance require a special effort to open ourselves to the diverse interpretations that circulate about its productive vocations and conditions of its diversity. To do so, we propose to reflect from decolonial, intercultural and ecological-political perspectives surrounding water governance processes in territories marked by the coexistence of transnational capitalism with peasant and indigenous economies and cultures. The empirical reference cases come from the regions of Biobío and Ñuble, in the South Center of Chile, where the actors and actants of the socionatural system determined by plantations of monoculture forestry, face daily dialogue, negotiate and confront their multiple understandings around the water.
; Several technologies have been developed to mitigate the effects of climate change in recent years, including geoengineering. Here the conflicts that can arise around these technologies and international governance that has emerged around geoengineering are analysed.

; Colombia has some environmental and ecological characteristics specific for the neotropic, whichmake it specific and unique.
