This list of grievances was presented to the King on behalf of all three of the Estates meeting in Paris for the meeting of the Estates General in 1614. Some of the grievances include the collection of the gabelle and other taxes, the role of the Provost of Merchandise, the status of Farmers, renters, etc. and the treatment of general civil and economic legislation. ; Electronic reproduction ; 42 p. ; 17 cm.

In 1625 Richelieu drew up a plan for reforms to be made in the government of France. At the end of 1626 he urged Louis XIII to summon an Assembly of Notables to deal with his proposals. Louis XIII called an Assembly of Notables (at Richelieu's urging) which met early in December 1626. By 1614 Marie de Medicis had been forced by the Great Princes to call for a meeting of the Estates General.
