Este artículo tiene como propósito evidenciar tres lugares de memoria que se han construido en Colombia. En estos se resaltan las tensiones y pugnas que se dan entre la memoria oficial y las memorias locales; estas últimas son las que se construyen en los territorios en donde han ocurrido hechos atroces en contra de la humanidad, y que permiten el desocultamiento de voces y relatos sobre los hechos vividos en el marco del conflicto armado. La investigación fue de carácter cualitativo, en su dimensión hermenéutica, mediante la propuesta de investigación narrativa hermenéutica (PINH) de Quintero, que considera a la narrativa como el núcleo central del trabajo. Se concluye con los desafíos de la memoria ejemplar como apuesta ética y política que contribuye a la construcción de paz en Colombia, por medio del tratamiento del pasado que demanda verdad, justicia, reparación, y el nunca más de los hechos atroces. Esto permite un presente y futuro diferente. ; This article aims to make evident three sites of memory that have been built in Colombia. This ground-breaking study conveys the thrill and moral power of the ancient Roman story-world and its ancestral tales of bloody heroism. Its account of 'exemplary ethics' explores how and what Romans learnt from these moral exempla, arguing that they disseminated widely not only core values such as courage and loyalty, but also key ethical debates and controversies which are still relevant for us today. In this work, I intend to clarify certain aspects of representation and to investigate its limits, particularly when it comes to taking into account traumatic situations of the past in relation to the experience of horror. In doing so, I used the distinction between 'verbatim' and 'exemplary memory' of Todorov, on the basis of annulling literality from the metonic functioning of the representation and exemplarity to its metaphoric functioning. It is precisely what I have given to the 'metaphorical uses of memory' that make it possible to move from the uniqueness of the traumatic experience of the past to the fight against the innocence of the present. For that, it resorts to Todorov´s distinction between literal memory and exemplary memory, based on knotting the literalness to the metonymical representation, and the exemplariness to the metaphorical representation. En el presente artículo proponemos un acercamiento a las implicaciones políticas, para el presente y el futuro, de la "elección" de una determinada memoria histórica. Al mismo tiempo, hacemos hincapié en la necesaria vinculación entre los memory studies y los media studies para el análisis riguroso de dichas implicaciones. In this article, Monika Greenleaf shows how Marina Tsvetaeva protested the erasure of her generation's intimate and embodied styles of memory by postrevolutionary historical narrative. While Soviet writers began to disappear into the Lubianka, labor camps, translation programs, children's literature, and silence in the 1930s, exiled writers found themselves in European capitals contesting the keys to legitimate memory before the emigration's fracturedmilieux de mémoire.In a piece written for oral performance in Paris, Tsvetaeva uses Bergson's famous techniques of bodily and musical memory-retrieval and comic revelation of temporal rhythms and archetypes to frame her childhood memoir as an exemplary mimetic rite for her generation. Bergson's synergistic theory of "matter and memory" promised total recall, whereas Walter Benjamin's meditation on the different nature of memories that "flash up at the moment of danger" offers new insight into the fiercely selective comic scenes her mnemonic technique "produces." Greenleaf's examination poses the question: What is the nature of the past that involuntarily repeats itself through our bodies and the very configuration of our imaginations: living Being or copying machine? Is the poet's act of memory socially useful or dangerous and "mad"? Mimesis according to Aristotle or Plato?

El presente proyecto de investigación titulado "El Museo del 20 de julio de 1810: Entre la memoria literal y la memoria ejemplar (1960-2000)", realizó un análisis de las ejecutorias de esa institución durante sus primeros cuarenta años de funcionamiento a la luz de las cinco funciones museísticas a saber: coleccionar, conservar, investigar, divulgar y exhibir; por medio del uso de dos categorías teóricas relacionadas con el acto de recordación y conmemoración que fue el origen de esa institución, como son la memoria literal y la memoria ejemplar. Así mismo se comprobó el tipo de dinámicas y ejecutorias de los grupos de poder social, político y cultural que le dieron forma a la institución, las cuales se mantuvieron a lo largo de esos cuarenta años, con escasas posibilidades de transformación, renovación y cambio. / Abstract. The current project named "The Museum of the 20th f July, 1810: Between the literal memory and the exemplary memory (1960-2000) ", is an analysis of the development of this institution during his first forty years of operation, to the light of the five museum functions: collect, preserve, investigate, communicate and exhibit; by means of the use of two theoretical categories related to the act of remembering and commemoration of the historical past, that was the origin of that institution: the literal memory and the exemplary memory. This article explores the religious selfhood of an exemplary Bible Christian woman, Mary Thorne (1807–1883). Founded in 1815 as a splinter group of Wesleyan Methodism, the Bible Christian denomination invoked an epistemology which stressed the correlation between religious and familial obligations. A close study of Mary Thorne's private writings suggests the tensions which existed within this ideal at the level of everyday life. Her writings open a window on a religious woman's negotiation of her public identity alongside her experiences of marriage, sexuality and motherhood. They show the impact of age, life cycle and memory in the process of self‐imagining and commemoration. Critically, they also show how dependent Thorne's self‐realisation and presentation were on material signs of her identity. In understanding the varying constructions of Mary Thorne's religious selfhood, I argue we might more fully understand the material cultures that underpinned evangelical religion and domesticity in nineteenth‐century Britain.
