Cultivos ilicitos, conflito e processo de paz na Colombia

Beginning in the mid-seventies, when interdiction efforts in Mexico pushed the cultivation of marijuana to the South, the drugs economy in Colombia has become increasingly strong and diversified. "Supply reduction" efforts have failed in the past and, it is argued, are bound to fail again in the future, causing substantial damage in Colombia and neighbouring countries. An alternative set of policies to confront the drugs issue is proposed. (Polit Externa/DÜI)
