God to Power ; Dios al poder
This paper aims to make a commented reading on the book The revenge of God by Gilles Kepel where he studies the relationship between politics and religion, illustrating that this relationship has been present in the latest international developments in Christianity, in the followers of Islam and of Judaism. The contribution is to show that this relationship has been also present in Buddhism, a process which does not account Gilles Kepel in his book. It is important to address this issue, to understand how for a considerable length of time a large number of Buddhist monks in Myanmar (formerly Birmania), have been leading protests against the military regime in power. The interest to discuss this is not simply casuistic, but entails a reflection that is not included in the text by Gilles Kepel, i.e., unlike the re-Christianization, re-Islamization and re-Judaizing processes that have emerged since the 70's as a negation of the modernity; Buddhism, in particular as a non- theistic religion, claims modern values such as democracy; at least this is the reflection left by Dalai Lama's words in Paris regarding the last Olympic Games held in China.

About gods and judges ; Sobre dioses y jueces
Throughout history, and due to different reasons, there have been different types of judges. There were "originalist" judges, for whom Law is synonymous with law. Those "vanguardistas" also abounded, who had the exhausting job of judging absolutely everything. And there were also (and are) present the "conciliators", who incorporate the values of a liberal and democratic stateto the legal norm. What kind of judge do we want? What kind of judge do we need? Using comparisons, examples and parallels between different types of judges and gods andGreek demigods (Zeus, Heracles and Hermes) and Romans (Jupiter, Hercules and Mercury), this article makes a brief reflection on the types of judges and poses a solution to the problem. And the answer is crucial, since the dose of commitment of the judges with the Rule of Law will depend on the type of role assigned to them.

Fratelli tutti: the dream of God for a more human world
In: Interreligious and intercultural investigations 16
One of the key words in Pope Francis' Encyclical Fratelli tutti on fraternity and social friendship is "dream." He begins with an invitation: "Let us dream then, as a single human family" (No. 8). He ends with a prayer: "Inspire in us a dream of renewed encounter, dialogue, justice and peace" (No. 287). To dream, for Pope Francis, is to practice hope. His goal in Fratelli tutti is precisely "to take up and discuss many new paths of hope" (No. 54). In celebration of the first anniversary of Fratelli tutti, the Pontifical Gregorian University, in collaboration with Georgetown University, organized a series of conferences from October to December 2021, aimed at disseminating and deepening understanding of the important message of the Encyclical. Speakers from the various Faculties, Institutes, and Centers of the Gregorian University reflect, in this book, on various "paths of hope" presented from the point of view of their respective disciplines.
'Sailing to the Island of the Gods': Bugis migration in Bali island
ABSTRACT The Bugis migration in the Indonesian archipelago, and even outside of the country, has a lengthy history. By referring to numerous sources, it can be estimated that the Bugis people have been present in Bali since the mid-17th Century. Political and economic issues are two important factors for migrating. As an ethnic group with strong faith and tradition, they have been capable of maintaining their traditions. However, when they live with Balinese who also adhere to their religion and custom, they must adapt. Though the Bugis migration community in Bali has maintained some aspects of its identity.RESUMEN La migración de Bugis en el archipiélago indonesio, e incluso fuera del país, tiene una larga historia.
