Since the 1990s, Spain has had to face an immigration phenomenon until then unknown. This is the immigration of unaccompanied foreign minors. This newest category of immigrants has specific characteristics compared to displacement of adults. Mainly, they are children who arrive to Spain without the company of their parents or legal guardian. After recognizing this situation, it is interesting to verify the national and international legal treatment granted, considering also the medical tests performed to verify age, resulting in one of the main problems affectingall their legal treatment.
In the panorama of exhibitions of the ruling party, the "Esposizione dell'Aeronautica italiana", arranged at Milan in 1934, occupies a position of great political and artistic importance. The theme that had been selected – one particularly close to Mussolini's heart – provided the opportunity to survey the history of flight from the studies of Leonardo to the daring aviators who tried to lift-off from the ground, up to the aerial enterprises undertaken by the governing party which culminated with the aerial cruise of the Decennale from Italy to the United States lead by Italo Balbo in 1933.For the architects (co-ordinated by Giuseppe Pagano) invited to organize the so-called "Mostra azzurra" ("Deep Blue Exhibition"), this was a precious opportunity to promote contemporary architecture and to present it as «The Art of the State». Their aspirations were soon ignored, but the artistic endeavors concentrated in the Milanese exhibition, which remained hidden for a number of years, came to life again after the Second War and gave origin to an extraordinary season of staging exhibitions and arrangements in museums.
; The relationship between art and advertising can only be understood by focusing on the intersectionsamong social and technical innovations. All the people who study social sciences must be aware ofmedia theories and media studies: the media should be studied for their relationships with institutions, consumption, policies and governance of conflicts, research and training in the fields of work and art.Starting from here we can also understand what is and what will be the different level of innovationbetween university studies and market procedures. The relationship between art and advertising has todo with the language of goods and its relation to the language of art. Just as the aesthetic and thecomsumption spheres, this relationship undergoes a new acceleration due to the dissemination ofhuman body and its faculties made possible by technological development. The power of hybridizationbetween organic and inorganic works to undermine the values of Humanism and thus the pillarsof the forms of knowledge and representation of the Western civilization of the world. Art as it hasbeen conceived by Humanism and modernity is thus refractory to the dimension of present time. Twoworlds in asymmetrical relationship. From here we have to find a starting point, if we want to find aninnovative way of thinking about their opposition and their convergence.
"The interplay between nature, science, and art in antiquity and the early modern period differs significantly from late modern expectations. In this book scholars from ancient studies as well as early modern studies, art history, literary criticism, philosophy, and the history of science, explore that interplay in several influential ancient texts and their reception in the Renaissance. The Natural History of Pliny, De Architectura of Vitruvius, De Rerum Natura of Lucretius, Automata of Hero, and Timaios of Plato among other texts reveal how fields of inquiry now considered distinct were originally understood as closely interrelated. In our choice of texts, we focus on materialistic theories of nature, knowledge, and art that remain underappreciated in ancient and early modern studies even today"--
; The paper proposes a critical interpretation of the Adorno's and Brecht's conceptions of engagement and politics of literature. The two notions are in contrast with each other but both could be considered representative of the two predominant polarized positions within the aesthetics debate of the last century. Adorno founds the political nature of literature on autonomy and liberation of the form. According to him the political nature of art springs from the refusal of the discourse, from the aggressive removal of meaning, from the exhibition of the negative. His conception of engagement in the arts is elitist and it subordinates the artistic to the philosophical discourse. Brecht founded the politics of literature on the awareness that experience is filtered by the media. It can be revolutionary only the author who reflects on the media bias of artistic production and creates works that are not expression of a subjective perspective but tools for transforming the function of the devices and of the institutions in which they act.
The Ancient Cemetery of the Lido in Venice was built in 1386: due to its favorable location just across the lagoon, the cemetery was occasionally used for defensive and military purposes. Many tombstones were lost, destroyed or reused, others were moved to a more internal area of the lagoon, which in 1774 became the official cemetery known as "New Cemetery". Venetian tombstones are artifacts rich in history, poetry and art. Their study allows us not only to rebuild the lives and the fortunes of the community members, but also to detect meaningful aspects of the literary and artistic culture of that time. This work is a catalogue of all the 1240 tombstones incorporated in the "Ancient" cemetery of the Lido. Each gravestone presents an analysis of the architectural style of the tombs as well as the kind of stone used and an assessment of his condition, a description of the coat of arms if engraved on the stone, a paleographic analysis of the writing, a note about the poetic and grammatical features of the text and a historical commentary detailing any relevant information found in the community death records. Transcriptions and translations of the epitaphs from Hebrew to Italian have been also added for 410 tombs. This analysis is supplemented with a detailed study of the history of the cemetery and the Jewish community of Venice, as well as the poetry of epitaphs, the paleography and art. This last topic has been further explored through an architectural analysis of the tombstones and a study on the Hebrew heraldry in light of the emblems engraved on the stones of the Venetian cemetery. This contribution proposes a new index of cultural activities in Europe, for the period 800-1800. In order to test it, a novel dataset is constructed by joining two existing works complemented with an additional set of original data. The index measures the degree of cultural activity of a region at city level by counting the number of high achieving innovators clustering in it. In this way a map of innovation across Europe can be produced and a series of historical hypotheses can be assessed. Emerging properties of persistence and diffusion of talent are observed. A series of regression analyses are implemented to test for alternative theories about the influence of culture. In particular, the so called "Industrial Enlightenment" is put into question. It holds that the ideals stemming from the scientific revolution of the XVII century, European positivism and the political experience of XVIII century's French intellectuals, contributed in a determinant way to the industrial revolution by interacting with the English intellectual and productive system. This view is compared with some alternative theories. The results of the analysis do not allow for a refusal of the cultural hypothesis for the industrial revolution: the role of France, and in particular Paris, as the pulsing hearth of European innovation is confirmed by the data. Moreover, England is more active in the fields of invention than France before and for much of the industrial revolution. Other historical impressions concerning intellectual activities in Europe are confirmed and indicate a good reliability of the index.

The Ancient Cemetery of the Lido in Venice was built in 1386, but it was regularly used only from 1516 onwards, when the Ghetto was established. ; This paper analyses the figures of Clodia and Fulvia. Their representation is antithetical, in almost all of the literary sources, to the traditional model of the ideal matrona, which dates back to the origins of the Roman Republic. Clodia, sister of the tribune of the plebs Publius Clodius Pulcher, is loved by the poet Catullus and is accused of being a prostitute by the lawyer Cicero. Fulvia, Publius Clodius Pulcher and Mark Antony's wife, is criticised by her opponents for having unduly occupied a political space, from which Roman women were traditionally banned. There is no doubt that these two aristocratic women were able to take advantage of the spaces granted women by the political and social context of the second half of the first century BC granted women, but their portrayal is always conditioned by the male figures of reference, without whom they would have been deprived of an autonomous historiographic representation.
