Resumen. Este artículo realiza un análisis histórico de la producción intelectual chilena en torno a la homosexualidad y constata una permanencia del paradigma medicalizador, verificable hasta la actualidad. Tal paradigma, su conceptualización y representación, además de influenciar imaginarios sociales, dan lugar a la homofobia y a las dificultades para introducir reformas pro derechos de la comunidad LGBT. Sus antecedentes inmediatos se encuentran en el higienismo y en intentos modernizadores acaecidos en Chile durante las primeras décadas del siglo XX. Dicho paradigma habría transitado en Chile por cuatro momentos: un período de instalación; otro de predominio de la interpretación psicoanalítica; un tercero de hegemonía del método fenomenológico; y finalmente un período de apologética medicalizadora, años, coincidente con la vuelta a la democracia, la irrupción de los movimientos LGBT organizados y las reivindicaciones de derechos para las personas LGBT.Palabras clave: Chile; homosexualidad; medicalizaciónConfiguração da homossexualidade medicalizada no ChileResumo. In this article, a historical analysis of Chilean intellectual production about homosexuality indicates the permanence of a medicalized paradigm, verifiable up to the present. The conceptualization and representation of such paradigm influences the collective imagination, explaining and legitimizing homophobia and difficulties in introducing reforms to grant rights to the LGBT community. Its immediate background is found in hygienist, modernizing programs in the early 20th Century. The medicalization of homosexuality in Chile can be divided in four periods: its implantation; the predominance of a psychoanalytic interpretation; hegemony of the phenomenological method; and, finally, medicalized apologetics. The latter coincides with the period of re-democratization, and the emergence of LGBT organized movements and LGBT rights.Keywords: Chile; medicalization; homosexuality

El modelo represivo predominante del terrorismo de estado aplicado por la dictadura cívico-militar uruguaya (1973-1984) fue la prisión política. Esta experiencia carcelaria fue tema de las ciencias sociales y de la literatura testimonial durante los primeros años de la restauración democrática. Dicho contexto histórico impuso su marca y frenó –en múltiples sentidos– la producción de testimonios. En este artículo se procura complejizar las narrativas hegemónicas sobre los presos políticos y su historia, poniendo énfasis en dos aspectos hasta ahora ignorados: el papel que cumplió la (homo) sexualidad en los procesos de construcción de un "nosotros" entre los detenidos en las cárceles, una vez consumada la derrota política de sus organizaciones; y algunas formas de negociación de sus prácticas dentro de la "cultura militante" que buscaron recrear en el marco carcelario. The experience of incarceration became a topic for social science and testimonial literature during the early years of democratic restoration. That historical context left its mark, limiting in multiple ways the production of testimonies. In this paper I reexamine hegemonic narratives of political imprisonment, emphasizing two aspects so far ignored: the role played by (homo)sexuality in the construction of a group identity among political prisoners after their political organizations had been defeated, and the ways their practices were negotiated within the "militant culture" that was recreated in the prison context. In India, homosexual intercourse is legal now, but the legalization battle was not so easy; many obstacles were there. In 1860, Section 377 was introduced in the constitution by the British Government which declared homosexual intercourse illegal. As a result, the law considers the individuals of the LGBT community criminal. So, for gay rights, many NGOs and gay social activists have protested 377 repeatedly. They through the legal path achieved success by legalizing adult homosexuality on September 6, 2018. This theoretical case study focuses on the elaborative discussion on the social status of homosexuals from 1991 to 2018 due to article 377 which makes it clear why the read down of article 377 is needed for the sake of the Right to Privacy given by the Constitution of India. ; En la India, las relaciones homosexuales son ahora legales, pero la batalla por la legalización no fue tan fácil; había muchos obstáculos. En 1860, el Gobierno británico introdujo en la Constitución la Sección 377, que declaraba ilegales las relaciones homosexuales. En consecuencia, la ley considera criminales a los individuos de la comunidad LGBT. Por ello, en favor de los derechos de los homosexuales, muchas ONG y activistas sociales homosexuales han protestado contra la 377 en repetidas ocasiones. Ellos a través de la vía legal lograron el éxito al legalizar la homosexualidad adulta el 6 de septiembre de 2018. Este estudio de caso teórico se centra en la discusión sobre el estatus social de los homosexuales desde 1991 hasta 2018 debido al artículo 377 que deja claro por qué la lectura del artículo 377 es necesaria por el bien del Derecho a la Privacidad dado por la Constitución de la India.

Mientras la incidencia de VIH en Cuba se mantiene entre la más baja del mundo, datos recientes sugieren que ha aumentado de forma significativa desde 1996, especialmente entre hombres que tienen sexo con hombres. Un factor clave que crea las condiciones de riesgo entre hombres homosexuales y bisexuales en Cuba es la estigmatización de la homosexualidad como mecanismo que pone soterránea la epidemia y obstaculiza los esfuerzos educativos dirigidos. Este artículo examina y contextualiza teóricamente tanto la devaloración de la homosexualidad en Cuba como los esfuerzos recientes para promover la diversidad sexual y crear espacios inclusivos para la educación sobre VIH. Refiriéndome en particular al trabajo teórico de Judith Butler y Michel Foucault, sostengo que en los primeros años de la revolución, la fusión de valores patriarcales machistas y un socialismo autoritario agudizo la estigmatización de la homosexualidad ya que desafíos a las leyes simbólicas del patriarcado fueron también desafíos a la retórica revolucionaria. Los esfuerzos recientes para de-estigmatizar a la homosexualidad, encabezados especialmente por el Centro Nacional de Educación Sexual (CENESEX) y su directora Mariela Castro, no solo han contribuido al esfuerzo educativo en cuanto a VIH; la de-estigmatización de la homo-sexualidad es también de importancia en llevar la meta revolucionaria de igualdad hacia su plena realización.

Darüber hinaus sind Akten geeignete Quellen, ist ihre kontext- und inhaltsanalytische Sichtung ein gangbarer Weg, um den monolithisch erscheinenden Komplex justitieller Definitionsmacht in seiner interaktiven Vielschichtigkeit oder Kontingenz zu erfassen: Querschnittsanalysen von Aktenbeständen aller an der Definition eines Normbruchs beteiligten Instanzen belegen zum einen höchst unterschiedliche, zuweilen konkurrierende Motive und Ziele der legislativ, jurisdiktionell und polizeilich-administrativ Definierenden. Zum anderen können Strafrechtsakten nach Prüfung ihrer rhetorischen Absichten als Ego-Dokumente re-interpretiert werden. Lisa TILLMANN-HEALY erlaubt die Reise in eine Welt, die für viele Menschen fremd erscheinen mag, und betrachtet genauer, woraus diese "Fremdheit" resultiert: Es handelt sich um die Annäherung an eine Gruppe schwuler Männer aus der Perspektive einer heterosexuellen Frau. Hinzugezogen wird vor allem sprachliches Material – aus Interviews, zufälligen Begegnungen, Versammlungen und von "Outings". Das ihrer Studie zugrunde liegende Paradigma ist für TILLMANN-HEALY das der "Freundschaft", das ermöglicht, Bedeutung(en) innerhalb von und zwischen verschiedenen sexuellen Kategorien zu betrachten. Das Ausmaß, in dem diese Bedeutung(en) tatsächlich geteilt werden können, ist sicher begrenzt, aber die so eröffneten Verstehensmöglichkeiten sind beachtlich. Este artículo presenta las condiciones estructurales del comercio sexual entre varones en los espacios públicos y revisa la organización social de la prostitución entre varones durante el franquismo. Para ello define y caracteriza cuatro tipos ideales de comercio sexual entre varones: el modelo de iniciación a la homosexualidad, el modelo militar y legionario, el modelo delincuente, y el modelo chulo (o pijo aparte).

This paper proposes an epistemological approximation between the method of visual analysis developed by Aby Warburg in Atlas Mnemosyne, and the concept of "emotional resistances" proposed by Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick with the intention of developing "reparative epistemologies" (Touching Feeling. Affect, Pedagogy, Performativity, Duke, 2003). The construction of a queer cartography from Warburg's Atlas Mnemosyne is a project of great magnitude. This is the reason why we want to start from a g-local conception (global and local), and apply this methodology to the analysis of the traces and practices of personal photography that were developed in the Sixties and Seventies in the LGTBQ+ community of Torremolinos (Spain), as an example of cultural practice that allows to recover the "emotional resistances", especially of the members of this community with which the Francoist "emotional regime" (1939-1975) fattened. We will use a queer counter-methodology: the protagonists of the 1970s preserve experiences, memories and materials in the form of personal collections, which sometimes find themselves in a precarious drift that makes militant archival work indispensable. These photographs show the role that Torremolinos had in the Sixties and Seventies as a destination for the LGTBQ+ community in Europe and the development of activism in Spain. This is the reason why in January 1977 the Democratic Union of Homosexuals (UDH) was created in Málaga, months before the first demonstration for the repeal of the Ley de Peligrosidad y Rehabilitación Social (LPRS) in Barcelona in June 1977. This paper intends to explore Jeanette Winterson's novel Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit (1985) in its reconciliation of postmodernist notions of identity, formal experimentation, and political commitment from the margins of patriarchal society. For this purpose, I shall focus first on Winterson's position with respect to different postmodernist topics and polemics that she deploys so as to reinforce the political agenda that lies behind the writing of the novel. Then, I shall try to unravel how the novel is structured as a chaotic system constituted by several layers of signification whose interaction creates infinite patterns of interpretation. Finally, I shall put forward how this postmodernist antitotalizing narrative strategy recalls in its functioning and implications the kind of writing proposed by French feminists such as Luce Irigaray and Hélene Cixous as the essentially "feminine" expression, in order to conclude that it is this chaotic structure that allows Winterson to provide a space for a female subject defined not in polar opposition to "man" but in her own "feminine", postmodernist terms.
