A review of the literature on sexuality and deafness provides a background for considerations on homosexuality. The author describes the social and emotional context in which a deaf person deals with homosexual identity and behavior. The "coming out" process is discussed, with related social, familial and personal implications. Finally, the article discusses counseling and intervention and introduces some ideas for future sex education and research.
