Introduction: The development of adolescents living outside the environment of their families and residing in institutional shelters presents peculiar characteristics in the interactions established in their daily lives and the constitution of their identities. Erikson's psychosocial theory studies identity formation, observing exploration and commitment. Identity status can be classified as identity diffusion, foreclosure, moratorium, and identity achievement.Objective: To evaluate identity status of adolescents living in institutional shelters.Methods: Eighty-seven adolescents living in institutional shelters (age 12–17) individually responded to the Extended Objective Measure of the Ego Identity Status II (EOMEIS II). The data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics which included the following variables: gender, age range, schooling, and time of sheltering.Results: There was a prevalence of the identity diffusion status in both genders, regardless of the length of schooling and despite the time of sheltering. There were differences in the results considering age range (p = 0,033).Conclusion: Older adolescents showed greater losses in identity development, with more negative and immature states of identity, indicative of poor preparation for leaving the institution (at age 18).
O texto analisa alguns aspectos teóricos da Historia d Literatura, num primeiro momento, para, na segunda parte, enfocar os historiadores estrangeiros e brasileiros, pioneiros na proposição de uma historia da literatura para o Brasil e, finalmente, na terceira parte, associar a questão historiográfica à realidade política do segundo Império, procurando discutir o papel do discurso historiográfico na identidade nacional brasileira. This study has a threefold structure. First, some theoretical aspects of Literary History are analyzed. Then, the focus shifts to the Brazilian and foreign historians who pioneered the proposition of a Brazilian literary history. Finally, in the third part, the historiographic question is associated to the political reality of the Second Empire, ia an attempt to discuss the role of historiographic discourse in the construction of the Brazilian national identity.

The project was started in a school unit in the State Education Network in the state of Sao Paulo in the Integral Education [PEI], located in the city of Piracicaba – SP, as a way to guarantee the expansion of democratic management within the school, The objective of this work was to present and discuss the relationship between the constitution of the project in a comprehensive way, with the results of the actions that have already been carried out at the school. The school's documents were analyzed, as well as the legal documents and the relevant bibliography. These all have a purpose to theoretically support the project, giving it a well-founded basis for its implementation. The purpose is to expand the democratic rights within the unit to allow Class Assemblies, corroborating with the democratic management, which will provide the school with a path towards its own identity. Along with the studied literature, the school's internal documents and the results of the actions already carried out at the school, all validate the project's viability. There is legal support for its implementation by meeting these proposals. The gender identity subject has been the focus of several social and political debates in which: there are individuals who try to eliminate social inequalities regarding gender; and, on the other hand, there are those who seek for visibility, fighting for their rights to be validated. Both of the groups constitute part of the LGBTTQI+ community. Thus, the present study refers to a research carried out at a university in the interior of São Paulo, whose corpus consists of statements made by undergraduate students that discuss the themes of identity, gender, prejudice and discrimination. Once it is a multifaceted theme, in which the phenomena of intolerance, hatred and fear emerge – in addition to discussions and positions that involve political, religious and ideological issues – the present work draws on the French discursive semiotics, by Algirdas Julien Greimas and collaborators. In conclusion, in their discourses, it was observed the identity transformation through the subjective confrontation of some malevolent passions, such as hatred and intolerance. ; RESUMO: O tema identidade de gênero tem sido pauta de diversos debates sociais e políticos em que, de um lado, se apresenta sujeitos que procuram combater e excluir padrões que fogem ao que prevê o estatuto heteronormativo presente em âmbito social. De outro, aqueles que se lançam em busca de visibilidade e reconhecimento de direitos, que se constitui como um grupo que viveu historicamente segregado e que agora pode presentificar sua existência nas ruas por meio da ascensão de movimentos identitários que a comunidade LGBTTQI+ performatiza. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho refere-se ao recorte de uma pesquisa realizada em uma universidade do interior paulista, cujo corpus consiste em depoimentos consentidos de acadêmicos que discorrem sobre os temas da identidade, alteridade, gênero, preconceito e discriminação. Por se tratar de um tema multifacetado, no qual emergem, em seus diversos desdobramentos, os fenômenos da intolerância, ódio e medo, além de discussões e posicionamentos que envolvem questões políticas, religiosas e ideológicas, o presente trabalho recorre à semiótica discursiva de linha francesa, de Algirdas Julien Greimas e colaboradores, para fundamentar a análise da significação produzida por uma das depoentes da pesquisa mencionada. Desse modo, observou-se, em seu discurso, entre outros efeitos, a sua transformação identitária a partir do enfrentamento subjetivo de algumas paixões malevolentes, como o ódio e a intolerância.
Starting at the 1940s, Rio de Janeiro, then Brazilian federal capital and power center, begins to produce and project to Brasil an image of the "carioca" that encompasses both the idea of this individual as a member of the civilised nations intended by the elites, and also as someone who has peculiar sway, musicality and humour, brought by popular and African American cultural movements. Under the influence of World War II and the good neighbour policy stronger ties are forged between the Latin American dictatorships and the United States government. Este artigo trata da comunicação via design voltada para as cidades inteligentes. Ser uma cidade inteligente tem sido uma estratégia adotada por várias cidades. Com base nas tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TIC), cidades inteligentes visam atrair investimentos, aumentando a competitividade, e, assim, melhorar a qualidade de vida de seus moradores e visitantes. Por isso, a geração de objetos e elementos de comunicação disponibilizados pelos municípios, tanto na forma física quanto na digital, faz parte desse processo. Nesse sentido, estudos sobre o papel do design nas cidades vêm sendo desenvolvidos, principalmente na Europa, com repercussões recentes no Brasil. Porém, pouco se sabe como os municípios se apropriaram dessas novas tecnologias para fortalecer a identidade local e promover a cidadania, caracterizando-as como cidades inteligentes. Assim, este artigo discute o papel do design associado aos média digitais atualmente em uso, buscando entender sua contribuição para o comportamento do cidadão auto consciente, independente e atento. Considerando que Curitiba se auto nomeia uma cidade inteligente, o estudo aqui apresentado tem como objetivo identificar a maneira pela qual o governo da cidade considera os elementos de comunicação associados aos seus projetos. Como método, realiza um estudo de campo, levando em consideração as imagens postadas no Instagram, link da mesma cidade, e os estudos sobre a sociedade em rede (Castells, 2006), os conceitos de não-lugar (Augé, 1994) e de "enxame digital" (Han, 2018). Como resultado, o estudo aponta a relevância no avanço de pesquisas que considerem o papel político dessas inserções, para que o resultado das ações venha a contribuir para a construção da cidadania. ; This article deals with design and communication aimed at smart cities. Being a smart city has been a strategy adopted by many cities. Based on information and communication technologies (ICT), they aim to attract investment, increase competitiveness and thus improve the quality of life of its residents and visitors. Therefore, the generation of objects and communication elements made available by municipalities widely, both in physical and digital form, is part of this process. Studies on the role of design in cities have been developed, especially in Europe, with recent repercussions in Brazil. However, little is known about how municipalities appropriated these new technologies to strengthen local identity and to promote citizenship, characterizing them as a smart city. Thus, this study is based on the role of design associated with digital media currently to understand its contribution to self-conscious, independent and attentive citizen behavior. Considering that Curitiba is named a smart city, the study presented here aims to identify the way the city government considers the communication elements associated with its projects. As a method, a field study was conducted taking into account the images posted on Instagram of the same city, supported by studies on the impact of globalization as in Castells (2006), the concepts of non-place (Augé, 1994) and "digital swarm" (Han, 2018). The study demonstrates the importance of the political role of these insertions to the result in acts that helps the construction of citizenship.
The claim of cinema as structural piece in the construction of diversity and language(s) as the ground and a catalyst for intercultural dialogue is the starting point of a work that investigates the new uses and consumption of cinema in the search for new strategies – political, creative, distributive – in order to overcome the marginality of a globalized and monopolized market by great multinational distributors. An initiative that is directly connected to the protection of cultural exclusion and appeals to the obligation to guarantee the access to other cultures/nations which claim for the right to circulation, demand visibility in order to be recognized. ; A consideração do cinema como peca estrutural na construção da diversidade e da(s) língua(s) como alicerce e elemento favorecedor do diálogo intercultural são o ponto de partida de uma publicação que analisa os novos usos e consumos cinematográficos na procura de novas estratégias – políticas, criativas, distributivas -para superar a marginalidade na qual as propostas de culturas/línguas minorizadas vem sendo conduzidas em um mercado globalizado e monopolizado pelas grandes distribuidoras multinacionais. Uma iniciativa que esta diretamente ligada a defesa da exceção cultural e apela á obrigação de garantir o acesso para outras culturas/nações que reclamam o direito de circulação, que exigem ser visíveis para serem reconhecidas, que necessitam se expressar para seguir a sua construção.
Este artigo analisa os possíveis desdobramentos discursivos em torno da representação do corpo feminino no cinema a partir de Chocolat (Claire Denis, 1988) e Vênus negra (Abdellatif Kechiche, 2010); tendo em vista esse corpo enquanto objeto de desejo, lugar de resistência, fronteira cultural e étnica, ou mesmo enquanto vestígio de história e memória. Por meio de articulações teóricas, estéticas e políticas sobre essas imagens, e da análise desses filmes, buscaremos entender de que forma o cinema intercultural – capaz de criar novas imagens a partir da memória dos sentidos, pois possui qualidades táteis e contagiantes, com as quais o espectador se confronta como se estivesse se relacionado com um outro corpo (Marks, 2000) – se faz dispositivo de representação de uma possível história cultural e memória, precisamente por meio do papel que os corpos, deslocados de suas paisagens de origem, atuam para a construção dessa história e memória culturais. ; This article analyses the possible discursive developments around the female body in movies, using Chocolat (Claire Denis, 1998) and Black Venus (Abdellatif Kechiche, 2010); bearing in mind this body as an object of desire, a space of resistance, a cultural and ethnical frontier, or even as a vestige of history and memory. Adaptação do romance de Bernardo Guimarães (1875), a novela teve grande repercussão na mídia e um alto índice de audiência, durante um período de profunda transformação da televisão no Brasil. A narrativa e a estética presentes em Escrava Isaura configuraram um discurso histórico intricado, estabelecendo uma leitura peculiar do passado e das relações raciais contemporâneas à novela. Based on Bernardo Guimarães' novel written in 1875, Escrava Isaura enjoyed attention from both the media and a vast national audience at a time when television had become a significant and influential medium. The narrative and aesthetics displayed showed a complex relationship between History and fiction, establishing a peculiar view of the past and slavery. Escrava Isaura launched a lively discussion in the press around slavery, patriarchy, and national identity at a time of military rule in Brazil.
O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre o conceito de identidade na perspectiva do indígena em contexto urbano. Visa, também, apresentar uma obra artística resultante da interação entre o autor e os membros da Wapichana (comunidade indígena residente em Brasília), obra que serviu como motivador das questões envolvendo identidade. O pesquisador participou de alguns protestos e manifestações religiosas organizadas pelos indígenas em defesa de suas terras. Em seguida, foi realizada uma intervenção artística que resultou em uma obra de videoarte. A intenção ao produzir essa obra foi evidenciar diferentes vozes pertencentes à mesma comunidade indígena, mesclando tradição e modernidade e, consequentemente, distintas visões sobre questões semelhantes. Essa ação teve como intuito contribuir para diminuir o preconceito contra os indígenas que vivem em Brasília e dar visibilidade para alguns de seus problemas. Nesse sentido, essa ação participa de uma gama de intervenções artísticas que pedem mudanças sociais e políticas. ; This paper is intended to reflect upon the concept of identity on the perspective of urban indigenous. Besides, it aims to present an artistic artwork resulting from the interaction between the author and the members of Wapichana (a Brazilian indigenous community living in Brasília), this artwork boosted the discussions regarding identity. The researcher participated in a few protests and in religious manifestations organized by the indigenous people in defense of their land. After that, it was accomplishedan artistic intervention aimed to produce a video-art piece. The goal of this work was to put in evidence different voices belonging to the same indigenous community, so mixing tradition and modernity and, consequently, distinct views of similar issues. This performative action had the intention to contribute to diminish the prejudice against indigenous groups that live in Brasília and to provide visibility for some of their issues. In this sense, the action here described participates in the gamut of artistic interventions asking for social and political change.
La identidad es inestable y puede cambiar su naturaleza debido a diversos factores tales como: sociedad, época, actores sociales, política y medios de comunicación. Antes São Paulo era la tierra de la "garoa" (una leve llovizna) y hoy en dia, año 2016, la garoa se ha vuelto mínima debido a variables de la Vida cosmopolita urbana. Con ello, el objetivo de la presente investigación es poner en manifiesto si la identidad de São Paulo corresponde con lo ella ofrece con respecto al entretenimiento cultural. Por medio de una encuesta de gabinete, se analizan las identidades de la ciudad a lo largo de los años, así como, a través de una recolección de datos online, se estudia cómo las agencias y operadoras turísticas representan la capital en sus sitios, o sea, para los turistas. Los resultados de la recolección fueron reproducidos en dos imágenes de nubes de palabras, una con los adjetivos de la descripción de "Sampa", y otra con los atractivos más indicados. Se observó que el entretenimento en la ciudad es importante y merece ser destacado, siendo la misma considerada la caporal del entretenimento de América Latina. ; Identity is unstable and due to that, it can change with several factors such as society, age, social actors, politics and the media. A few years ago, São Paulo was the land of drizzle, and today the drizzle is insignificant comparing to what is happening in the cosmopolitan life of the city. Therefore, the objective of the present research is to investigate the identity of São Paulo for what it has to offer in means of cultural entertainment. Through a cabinet survey, the identities of the city over the years were analyzed; online data about how agencies and tour operators represent a capital on their websites were also used. The results of the collection were reproduced in two word cloud images, one being the description of "Sampa", and the other one with the most indicated attractions. Noting that entertainment in the city is already at the spotlight, since São Paulo is the capital of entertainment at Latin America. ; A identidade é instável e devido a isso pode mudar com diversos fatores como: sociedade, época, atores sociais, política e meios de comunicação. Antes São Paulo era a terra da garoa, e hoje a garoa se tornou mínima perto do que acontece na vida cosmopolita da cidade. Com isso, o objetivo da presente pesquisa é investigar se a identidade de São Paulo faz jus ao que ela oferece de entretenimento cultural. Por meio de uma pesquisa de gabinete, analisam-se as identidades da cidade ao longo dos anos, assim como uma coleta de dados online, sobre como as agências e operadoras turísticas representam a capital nos seus sites, ou seja, para os turistas. Os resultados da coleta foram reproduzidos em duas imagens de nuvens de palavras, uma dos adjetivos da descrição de "Sampa", e outro com os atrativos mais indicados. Observando-se que o entretenimento na cidade já é destaque, sendo colocada como capital do entretenimento da América Latina.
O presente trabalho pretende refletir sobre o conceito de identidade constitucional dos Estados, no quadro do relacionamento dialético entre o ordenamento jurídico da União Europeia e os ordenamentos nacionais. Exploram-se, designadamente, quer a dimensão conflitual da identidade constitucional, quer as relações de confluência que esta pode potenciar, concluindo-se por um entendimento aberto e flexível do conceito de identidade constitucional, que possa favorecer a evolução em sentido europeísta do direito constitucional nacional e a transformação progressiva, em sentido constitucional, do ordenamento jurídico europeu. ; This article intends to reflect on the concept of constitutional identities of states in the frame of the dialectic relationship between the legal order of the European Union and the national legal orders. Both the conflictual dimension of the constitutional identity and the relations of confluence that that can maximize are explored. It concludes with an open and flexible understanding of the concept of constitutional identity which can benefit the evolution of the national constitutional law in an Europeist sense and the progressive transformation of the European legal system in aconstitutional sense.
O TJUE ajudou a forjar, ao longo do tempo, uma conceção de cidadania tendente a ser o estatuto fundamental dos nacionais dos Estados-Membros. Contudo, desde a prolação do acórdão Dereci de 2011, a pró-atividade do TJUE relativamente ao desenvolvimento da cidadania europeia parecia ter esgotado gradativamente as suas virtuosidades, sobretudo no que diz respeito ao desenvolvimento da chamada cidadania social. Ocorre, porém, que o momento crucial que a União Europeia enfrenta exige o robustecimento da sua relação vertical com os cidadãos que protege – é isto ou a fragmentação. Talvez seja esta a mensagem subliminar do TJUE patente em três acórdãos pós-Brexit que, proferidos em Grande Secção, surpreendentemente recuperam e desenvolvem a sua jurisprudência mais emblemática a propósito da cidadania europeia – designadamente os acórdãos Rottmann e Zambrano –, cujo potencial político e/ou identitário parecia irremediavelmente amordaçado. Os acórdãos Rendón Marín, CS e Petruhhin ressaltam a conexão entre cidadania europeia e proteção de direitos fundamentais e porventura representem uma tentativa de recuperar a dimensão identitária da cidadania europeia, nutrida pelo sentimento de pertença a uma comunidadede direitos e obrigações. ; The CJEU over the years has helped to forge a concept of citizenship directed to be the "fundamental status of the nationals of the Member States". However, since the Dereci ruling of 2011, the proactivity of the CJEU concerning the development of European citizenship seemed to have gradually exhausted itself, mostly as far as the so-called social citizenship. It happens, nonetheless, that this crucial moment the European Union faces demands the enhancement of its vertical relation with the citizenry – it is either this or fragmentation. And perhaps this is the subliminal message from the CJEU in three post-Brexit rulings that, decided in the Grand Chamber, surprisingly recover and develop the most emblematic case-law about the European citizenship – namely the Rottmann and Zambrano rulings – whose political potential and/or identity potential seemed irrevocably muzzled. The rulings Rendón Marín, CS and Petruhhin point to the connection between European citizenship and the fundamental rights protection in the EU and possibly even represent an attempt to recover the identity dimension of European citizenship, nourished by a sense of belonging to a community of rights and obligations.
The musicians' job market in Brazil is heterogeneous in various senses. It is characterized by informality and job insecurity, in addition to being segmented by gender, both with respect to musical forms and to social relations between the sexes and the construction of correlative social representations. The purpose of this article is to analyze the work of musicians in Brazil, highlighting the recent occupational displacement that affects professional identities and the conciliation practices and domestic arrangements in households where musicians live. The methodology used was a quali-quantitative approach and the triangulation of sources: government databases, and surveys using Internet profiles selected through web scraping and interviews. The exploratory factor analysis based on variables related to domestic work and musical work identified five factors: traditional delegation arrangement, competitive musical work, societal conciliation arrangement, internal conciliation, and community conciliation. Findings showed that traditional delegation in the case of domestic work is not only explained by the relation between reproductive and productive work, with the traditional devaluation or subalternization of the former, but also by a gender construction that ends up assigning women–who are a minority in terms of employment–to teaching activities in the field of higher education and to their placement in stable formations, generally with higher performance and less flexible forms of hiring. Conciliation strategies involving musical work reflect the distinction, in the context of specific cultural and social characteristics, among orienting oneself through the assistance available in the services market, the State, or family arrangements, seen as ideal types, since these practices overlap. However, on the basis of the abovementioned factors, the current outlook reveals an imbalance with respect to the experience and theorization in countries with more consolidated public policies on conciliation between family and work, as an articulation that could result from combining internal and community conciliation practices with societal social services institutions into a single factor. ; El mercado de trabajo de músicos en Brasil es heterogéneo en diversos aspectos. Se caracteriza por la informalidad y la precarización, además de la segmentación de género, tanto en sentido de formas musicales como en el de relaciones sociales de sexo y construcción de representaciones sociales correlativas. El propósito del texto es analizar el trabajo de músicos en Brasil destacando el reciente desplazamiento ocupacional que afecta las identidades profesionales y las prácticas de conciliación y los arreglos domésticos en domicilios donde viven los músicos. La metodología utiliza una aproximación cuali-cuantitativa y triangulación de fuentes: bases de datos gubernamentales, survey que emplea perfiles en internet seleccionados por web scraping y entrevistas. El análisis factorial exploratorio con base en variables relacionadas al trabajo doméstico y al trabajo musical identificó cinco factores: arreglo tradicional de delegación, trabajo musical competitivo, arreglo de conciliación societaria, conciliación interna, conciliación comunitaria. Se encontró que el tipo de delegación tradicional, con empleo doméstico, no se explica solo por la relación entre el trabajo reproductivo y el productivo, con la tradicional desvaloración o subalternización del primero, pero por una construcción de género que resulta destinando a las mujeres, minoritarias en la ocupación, a las actividades de enseñanza en educación superior y a la ubicación en formaciones estables, generalmente con rendimientos más altos y formas de contratación menos flexibilizadas. Las estrategias de conciliación que involucran el trabajo musical refleten la distinción, en un contexto de rasgos culturales y sociales específicos, entre orientarse por una asistencia disponible en el mercado de servicios, por el Estado o por arreglos familiares, vistas como tipos ideales, ya que estas prácticas se interpenetran. Sin embargo, el panorama actual, si considerado desde los factores extraídos, revela un desequilibrio en relación con la experiencia y la teorización en países con políticas públicas de conciliación entre familia y trabajo más consolidadas, como una articulación que sería indicada, por ejemplo, en la combinación, en un mismo factor, de prácticas conciliatorias internas o comunitarias y recurso a instituciones societarias de servicios sociales. ; O mercado de trabalho de músicos no Brasil é heterogêneo sob diversos aspectos. Entretanto, o panorama atual, se considerado a partir dos fatores extraídos, revela um descompasso em relação à experiência e à teorização em países com políticas públicas de conciliação entre família e trabalho mais consolidadas, como uma articulação que seria indicada, por exemplo, na combinação, num mesmo fator, de práticas conciliatórias internas ou comunitárias e recurso a instituições societárias de serviços sociais.
