The topic of this article, «Mircea Eliade, C. G. Jung, and the Eranos meetings » , recently received considerable attention and a good number of critical analyses. Steven M. Wasserstrom and Hans Thomas Hakl both provided excellent reconstructions, from different perspectives, of the Eranos circle, especially in the period this article deals with, the 1950s. Moshe Idel, Florin Turcanu, Dan Dana, and Natale Spineto contributed a great deal to cast a light on Eliade's literary, personal, and academic outcome during the 1940s and 1950s. While the present text does not claim to have uncovered new historical data in the relationship between Eliade and Jung at Eranos, already magisterially probed by Turcanu, it pursues three new avenues of interpretation. It first mines Eliade's 1950s diaries to analyze the role of personal dream interpretation as secondary data for Mircea Eliade's history of religion. It turns next to Eliade's correspondence with Jung to re-examine the historian of religions' involvement with analytical psychology. It finally advances the proposal for a new trajectory of Eliade's development of the set of perennial conceptual placeholders, such as «sacred/ profane » , «labyrinth/ center » , «axis mundi » , «initiation » , «trans-conscious » , and «cosmic Christianity » . We dubbed them perennial conceptual placeholders in virtue of the epistemic and ontological work, of universalizing bent, Eliade had asked them to carry out in his scholarship. This article suggests that Eliade forged some of them in his cultural journalism, written in Romanian, and fully developed them during the 1950s Eranos meetings, as a form of personalized history of religion and cure for the souls.

We report on a survey of 942 grade 10 and 11 students from 10 urban and 'rurban' boards in 5 Canadian provinces that takes stock of multicultural education three decades on in the context of youth's multiple, multimedia spheres of learning. This survey is presented as an innovative research instrument measuring what young people know about the struggles as well as the intellectual, political and cultural legacies of racialized peoples globally and nationally and where they learned it (school, media, family, community). Bivariate analysis of demographic, knowledge and attitudinal questions suggests schools' unique role in building a common knowledge base to combat Eurocentrism and cultural racism.

Ils ont occupé des fonctions d'experts, de policiers et d'espions. Par leur travail, ils se situent à la charnière entre discours et pratiques nazies. D'une part, une grande partie de leur travail est d'ordre théorique, idéologique. De l'autre, ces hommes ont conçu, organisé et planifié les politiques génocides mises en œuvre par le Troisième Reich à l'Est. Cette culture de guerre, qui prédisait l'avènement d'une ère nouvelle, d'un nouvel âge d'or en cas de victoire, induisait par contre, en cas de défaite, une menace de disparition politique, nationale voire physique.L'Allemagne connut de ce fait une irrépressible poussée d'angoisse eschatologique, étudiée au travers du vécu de ces Akademiker. Cette angoisse de disparition de l'Allemagne en tant qu'État comme en tant que nation a joué un rôle non négligeable dans leur engagement au sein du NSDAP et de la SS. Le Nazisme, système de croyance structuré par le déterminisme racial, proposait des cadres d'interprétation de cette situation, et, tout en exprimant l'angoisse, se présentait comme un système sôtériologique assignant des fins dernières millénaristes à l'avènement du Reich millénaire. L'adhésion au système de croyances nazi fit alors figure, pour les intellectuels SS de stratégie de désangoissement (Denis Crouzet).Cette étude, commencée sous les auspices d'une histoire culturelle du politique, s'est ainsi muée en un projet d'anthropologie social de l'émotion, mais aussi de la violence.Les hommes étudiés ont en effet, dans leur grande majorité, participé activement à l'élaboration et à l'application des politiques du génocide. À lé tête des Einsatzgruppen, ils ont mené les campagnes d'extermination des Juifs soviétiques et polonais. On s'est intéressé dans cette optique à leur rôle, qu'il soit celui d'une instance de légitimation du génocide face aux tireurs, ou celui de la direction des massacres. Il s'est avéré nécessaire de partir des gestes du génocide et des dispositifs matériels de la mise à mort par fusillade pour remonter aux systèmes symboliques qui les rendaient possibles, et pour tenter d'appréhender le vécu de la tuerie par les tueurs et leurs officiers, intellectuels. Il a ainsi été possible de souligner l'existence de deux gestuelles de violence répondant à des logiques sémiologiques différenciées, l'une démonstratrice, l'autre, extirpatrice. On a ensuite analysé l'imaginaire présidant à la tuerie et les grandes ruptures anthropologiques qui sous-tendaient l'adjonction en août 1941 des femmes et des enfants au massacre. Il a enfin été possible d'explorer l'impact des gestes de violence et la confrontation à la violence infligée sur le psychisme des tueurs et de leurs officiers.Si la pulsion génocide était associée à un imaginaire millénariste qui n'était que la résurgence, surmultipliée par le déterminisme racial, d'un imaginaire né au sien de la Grande Guerre, l'approche de la défaite provoqua une résurgence de l'angoisse eschatologique que gérait le système de croyances nazi au moment de l'entrée dans la SS. Les intellectuels SS ont développé des stratégies de déréalisation de la défaite, des stratégies de clandestinité, avant d'être emprisonnés et de passer en jugement. Leurs stratégies de défense devant les tribunaux, faite de mensonge, de déréalisation, de dilution de la culpabilité, laissaient pourtant apparaître des aveux surprenants, des déclarations dangereuses pour leur propre cas, laissant dans certains cas apparaître fugitivement le Tribunal comme une instance d'expression d'un vécu traumatique du génocide, un lieu permettant de dire une partie de la culpabilité, dans une Allemagne ayant enfin effectué sa démobilisation culturelle, ayant décristallisé la croyance nazie. Une Allemagne qui, de ce fait, ne saisissait plus l'imaginaire, fait d'angoisse de ferveur, qui avait présidé au geste génocide.

International audience ; This research focuses on the score of intellectual capital perceived by analysts of an SRI asset management fund in relation to the level of European corporate governance and the institutional context in which it is situated: the country, regulation of the labor market and culture. We have a constant sample of 286 listed European companies and groups in the years 2010-2012. The methodology used is a longitudinal regression in panel data. The results show that governance practices are significantly associated with the intellectual capital score and that the institutional variables: country, labor market legislation and cultural elements have contrasting effects on the three dimensions of intellectual capital: human capital, structural capital and relational capital. ; Cette recherche s'intéresse au score du capital intellectuel perçu par les analystes d'un fonds de gestion d'actifs ISR en lien avec le niveau de gouvernance d'entreprises européennes et le contexte institutionnel dans lequel elles s'insèrent : le pays, la régulation du marché du travail et la culture. Nous utilisons un échantillon constant de 286 entreprises et groupes européens cotés suivis pendant les années 2010-2012. La méthodologie employée est une régression longitudinale en données de panel. Les résultats montrent que les pratiques de gouvernance sont très significativement associées au score de capital intellectuel et que les variables institutionnelles : pays, législation du marché du travail et éléments culturels ont des effets contrastés sur les trois dimensions du capital intellectuel : capital humain, capital structurel et capital relationnel.

The author shows how these experiences, initiated by militant workers, have been extended and transformed by the involvement of intellectuals in the public arena. The legacy of these experiences has now been measured to understand how intellectuals have actually been configured. The principle of proportionality covers a broad field of application, arising from the protection of fundamental rights, of which intellectual property is undeniably a part. Its implementation, through several types of proportionality controls, has upset doctrinal certainties and triggered a reflection on the motivation and legal interpretation. The most discussed of these proportionality checks is the one used in cases of fundamental conflict.Its impact at the judicial level has been made in several stages. It originates from the jurisprudence of the two European courts, itself inspired by the German principle of proportionality. The European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union have developed their own proportionality checks to resolve a conflict between fundamental rights. While the former takes a more concrete approach than the latter, due to the nature of its task, both courts confirm the non-absolute nature of intellectual property rights and the need to reconcile them with other fundamental rights (recognized by the European Convention on Human Rights and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union). In their proportionality test, the two courts reserve a certain margin of appreciation to the Member States, but give indications as to how to carry it out in their turn. The copyright constraints and above all its the immateriality have not only been misunderstood but also ignored by society. Recently, French parliament has proclaimed the principle of illegality of peer to peer file sharing between internet users. We will need to reconcile a fair and equal compensation of "authors", taking into consideration international legal constraints regarding free access to knowledge and information, as required by the Tunis agreement.
