AbstractIn the pre‐COVID period, the restaurant industry had significantly grown in India in the past decade due to rapid urbanization and modernization. In the post‐COVID period, the small restaurant entrepreneurs are fighting for their survival due to the lack of funds, a shift in the consumers' behaviour and perception, and negative cash flows. It has led to the closure of restaurants, loss of employment, and adversely affected the allied industries. The small restaurant entrepreneurs are exploring some new opportunities amid the crisis and adopting innovative approaches, technological and digital interventions to meet the consumers' need for a contact‐less dining experience. However, a joint effort on the part of entrepreneurs and government bodies will facilitate and fuel the restaurant industry's growth again.

Many models have been developed to forecast the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We present one that is enhanced to allow individuals to alter their behavior in response to the virus. We show how adding this feature to the model both changes the resulting forecast and informs our understanding of the appropriate policy response. We find that when left to their own devices, individuals do curb their social activity in the face of risk, but not as much as a government planner would. The planner fully internalizes the effect of all individuals' actions on others in society, while individuals do not. Further, our simulations suggest that government intervention may be particularly important in the middle and later stages of a pandemic.

AbstractThe written diaries of 43 adult male respondents from a prison sample that had participated in a restorative justice intervention reveal a nuanced and dynamic process of desistance via their hopes and pains of anticipated desistance at the micro, meso and macro levels. A utopian reading of the respondents' hopes and pains of desistance is developed which reveals that their diaries express a utopian vision that is not just personal, but also inherently political, radical, collective and transformative. Their pains of desistance on the other hand, reveal a critique and condemnation of the current societal and structural apparatus. The necessity for radical and collective change is clear, if desisters and society are to reach their full potential.

This paper is focused on the issue of information panels and the illumination of monuments, especially ruins. First, methodological recommendations of ICOMOS Charter for the Interpretation and Presentation of Cultural Heritage Sites are mentioned as it is necessary to follow the recommendations when planning and implementing any interpretive infrastructure. There follows a brief characteristic of the function, intervention, positive and negative of the information panels as important elements of the interpretative infrastructure. Similarly, scenic illumination of monuments is presented. Two case studies of installation of information panels are than described - Jihlava Town Fortification (CZ) and Remains of Slav Hill Fort. The conclusion than offers methodological steps for the choice of solution and realisation of interpretive infrastructure.

Significance This study is an experimental trial that demonstrates the potential for formal outreach strategies to change congressional use of research. Our results show that collaboration between policy and research communities can change policymakers' value of science and result in legislation that appears to be more inclusive of research evidence. The findings of this study also demonstrated changes in researchers' knowledge and motivation to engage with policymakers as well as their actual policy engagement behavior. Together, the observed changes in both policymakers and researchers randomized to receive an intervention for supporting legislative use of research evidence (i.e., the Research-to-Policy Collaboration model) provides support for the underlying theories around the social nature of research translation and evidence use.

AbstractObjectivesIn this tutorial, we examine methods for exploring missingness in a dataset in ways that can help to identify the sources and extent of missingness, as well as clarify gaps in evidence.MethodsUsing raw data from a meta-analysis of substance abuse interventions, we demonstrate the use of exploratory missingness analysis (EMA) including techniques for numerical summaries and visual displays of missing data.ResultsThese techniques examine the patterns of missing covariates in meta-analysis data and the relationships among variables with missing data and observed variables including the effect size. The case study shows complex relationships among missingness and other potential covariates in meta-regression, highlighting gaps in the evidence base.ConclusionMeta-analysts could often benefit by employing some form of EMA as they encounter missing data.

The many uncertainties and challenges during an employee's career journey have stimulated growing scholarly interest in developing employee resilience to cope with them. Adopting an intrapersonal perspective, we extended self-determination theory to the resiliencebuilding context and
explored the means by which proactive personality influences employee resilience. Using data obtained from a sample of 650 adults employed in workplaces in Mainland China, we found that proactive personality facilitates employee resilience via increasing work-related promotion focus and perceived
insider identity. Our results provide insight into the development of employee resilience from a personality perspective through two different types of workrelated motivation. The findings also have practical implications for managers of organizations seeking alternative elements for future
employee resilience interventions.

We examined the use of nonmedical prescription stimulants (NPSs) among students ( N = 1,208) at a large public university in southeastern United States. After students who had been prescribed stimulants had been removed from the sample, 202 of the remaining 1,067 students (i.e., 18.9%) reported having engaged in NPS use in their lifetime. NPS use was strongly associated with membership in Greek societies and with binge drinking behavior. NPS users overwhelmingly reported engagement in NPS use for academic rather than for recreational purposes, and as anticipated, NPS users with academic motives reported stronger academic benefits than NPS users with social/recreational motives. Reports of guilt were low, and frequent users reported less guilt than infrequent users. Implications for interventions are discussed.

ABSTRACT
Following the Global Financial Crisis of 2008, contractions in the global economy were often utilised as a justification for deep cuts in State spending, including welfare state programmes. This article will problematise the 'necessity' of austerity measures and how this conflicts with the intentions of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), which requires State intervention to ensure the right to a minimum standard of living (Article 28 CRPD) for such persons. By comparing the arguably voluntary and ideologically driven austerity programme undertaken in the United Kingdom with the externally imposed 'Bailout Package' in Ireland, it will address whether the Convention may, in limited circumstances, allow for programmes such as these to be deemed compatible with the CRPD among developed States.

This paper presents evidence on trends, profiles, drivers, and impacts of Bulgarian emigration. The analysis shows that emigration is mostly led by sizable wage differentials and that emigrants tend to be young, contributing to a decrease in the working-age population in the country, particularly in rural regions. Emigration is not associated with unemployment reductions, evidencing rigidities in the labor market, but leads to wage gains for workers with similar skills. Furthermore, migration has not led to national skill shortages of doctors, and the rate of return migration is high, especially for Bulgarians who migrated to other EU countries. Some challenges emerge when returnees try to reintegrate into the Bulgarian labor market, calling for potential policy interventions to address these issues.

This Editorial introduces a Special Issue of the journal Anti-Trafficking Review of the topic of 'Trafficking in Minors'. It argues that the urgency of the phenomena of child trafficking and related issues, such as child labour and child sexual exploitation, and the emotional responses they provoke, have often led to superficial and knee-jerk reactions that obscure the root causes of the problems and deflect attention and resources away from grounded, sustainable solutions. It presents a brief overview of the articles contained in the Special Issue and concludes that policy responses and practical interventions to address trafficking in minors need to have the best interest of the child in mind and address the underlying socio-economic and political root causes.

Governments and civil society are increasingly aware that the decarbonization of energy systems needs to be aligned with justice principles of recognition, distribution, and process. This paper establishes a conceptual linkage between "sustainable development", "low‐carbon energy transitions" and "energy justice" and examines social priorities to address peoples' competing priorities associated with low‐carbon energy interventions. By analyzing a renewable energy project in Vietnam as a case study, the paper shows that linking social priorities to energy justice provides a useful contribution for energy policy makers toward a better understanding of the multidimensional and complex aspects of low‐carbon energy transitions, and how different segments of society prioritize and perceive them for the achievement of socially just energy decisions.

The study aimed to find out the availability and extent of use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) facilities in the teaching of science in secondary schools in Port Harcourt L.G.A. To achieve the aim of the study, a descriptive survey design was adopted in the study. All the 61 science teachers in the study area were used as the respondents. Observation check list and questionnaire copies were used for data collection. The data collected were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and t-test. The findings showed that ICT facilities in teaching science and also location is significant factor in the teachers' use of ICT facilities in the teaching of science. By implication, practitioners should seek for intervention from government to install ICT facilities in schools irrespective of location.

The banking sector serves as the main source of resource mobilization in developing economies. Due to underdeveloped money markets and capital markets, limited availability of financial instruments and a lack of confidence in the financial system, banks become the dominant financial intermediary in the system. Given the banks intermediary role in providing stability to the financial system, many emerging economies have implemented policies to develop and restructure the banking sector. Good corporate governance is designed to address this problem. Further, government regulations and frequent interventions reduce the incentive for effective monitoring and, at the same time, make supervision (or supervisors) less effective. The present paper an attempt is made to discuss about the Structure and Mechanism of Corporate Governance in the Indian Banking Sector.
