Hızla gelişen ulaştırma, haberleşme teknolojisi dünyada fiziki ve fikri sınırları ortadan kaldırırken, sermaye birikimine bağlı olarak artan araştırma geliştirme bütçeleri, hep daha iyiyi arayan yönetim anlayışı ile birlikte enerji ve üretim teknolojisindeki gelişim her geçen gün yeni ürünleri, daha fazla sayıda insan hayatına sokma başarısını göstermektedir. Üretim tarafındaki bu olağanüstü gelişimin sürdürülebilmesi ise ancak üretimi teşvik edecek tüketim talebi ile mümkündür. Oysa bu o kadar kolay değildir. Öncelikle ürünleri talep eden zengin Avrupa ve Amerika başta Kuzey Yarıküre'nin gelişmiş toplumlarında tüketici nüfusu artmak bir yana büyük bir gerileme söz konusudur. Pek çok üründe doyuma ulaşmış tüketicilerin medyan yaşı 40'ın üzerinde olup hızla yaşlanan toplumların tüketim talebi de daha azdır. Üstüne bu zengin tüketicileri hedefleyen çok sayıda rakip vardır. Orta gelir düzeyindeki ülkelerin tüketicileri ise gerek korumacı politikalar, gerekse ölçek ekonomisinden yararlanarak maliyet avantajına sahip üreticiler tarafından sarılmıştır. Yine pompalanan tüketimle artan hane halkı borçluluk oranları yeni tüketimi geliştirmenin önünde engeldir. Bu açmazdan en önemli çıkış fırsatlarından biri, belki de en önemlisi yeni doymamış pazar arayışları olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bugünden kıtanın geleceğinde yer tutmak isteyen ülkeler tarafından yapılan doğrudan yatırımlar kıtadaki güçler mücadelesine ilişkin önemli ipuçları ortaya koymaktadır. Türkiye gibi gelişmekte olan ve dünya ekonomisinde ilk 10 içerisinde yer alma iddiasında olan bir ülke için bu mücadelede yer almak kaçınılmaz bir gerekliliktir. Kıtayla ilişkileri 15. yy'a dayanan ve sömürgeci gibi olumsuz algısı bulunmayarak önemli avantaja sahip ülkemizin, Afrika potansiyeli ile doğrudan yatırım yapan eski ve yeni sömürgeci rakiplerini değerlendirmesinde yarar bulunmaktadır. ; The developing energy and production technologies have been succeeding to introduce an ever-increasing number of new products to the usage of human lives, with the help of boosting research and development budgets as a consequence of capital accumulation, as well as today's management philosophy of searching for the best, while the rapid developments in transportation and information technology have been lifting the physical and intellectual barriers. The continuity of this outstanding development in the production site would be possible only with the existence of a consumption demand that will encourage production. However, this is not that much easy. First of all, the demanding rich and developed nations of Northern hemisphere especially Europe and America is not increasing but losing their consumer population. Further, the consumers of these nations whose median age is over 40 and increasing so after, has been mainly saturated and have a decreasing consumption demand due to ageing. Besides, there have been many rivals targeting the same rich groups. On the other hand, the consumers of medium income countries, have been surrounded by protectionist policies or by the producers using the cost advantage of economies of scale. The increased household debts because of pumped consumption stand as an obstacle before the new consumption development. One of them or the best option to exit from this closed cycle is regarded as the search for unsaturated new markets. The direct investments of those countries which want to take a part in the Continent's future by today reveal certain hints of this power struggle. Being part of the struggle in Africa is an inevitable must for Turkey as a developing country which tries to reach the target of climbing to the list of top 10 economies of the World. Turkey which has deep relations with the Continent starting early as 15. Century and has no shame of colonisation, definitely has benefits to investigate the potential and rivals investing in Africa.

Balıkesir Üniversitesi, Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü, İşletme Anabilim Dalı ; Ekonomik krizler başta olmak üzere, dünya ve ülke siyasetindeki pek çok gelişme döviz kurunda artışlara neden olmakta ve bu durum gerçek kişilerin yatırım amaçlı döviz satın alma tercihlerini tkileyebilmektedir. Dövize olan talebin, döviz kurunun daha da artmasına neden olduğu düşünüldüğünde bireyler, ait oldukları toplumun menfaatleri ile kendi ekonomik menfaatleri arasında ikilemde kalabilmektedirler. Bu çalışmada; tüketici etnosentrizmi ve döviz yatırım ilişkisinin saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Alan yazınında benzerlerinin nadiren yer aldığı çalışmanın, araştırmacılara ve karar vericilerin doğru öngörülerde bulunmasına katkı sunması umulmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda, ikinci bölüm yazın taramasından elde edilen kaynaklarla ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın üçüncü ve dördüncü bölümünde, elde edilen veriler analiz edilmiş, oluşturulan hipotezlerin doğruluk düzeyi araştırılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda hazırlanan anket formu başta Konya, Balıkesir ve İzmir olmak üzere Türkiye'nin çeşitli illerinden 603 katılımcıya uygulanmıştır. Son olarak dördüncü bölümde elde edilen bulgulara yer verilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre; bireylerin etnosentrik eğilim düzeyleri ile döviz yatırım tercihleri arasında negatif yönlü fakat zayıf bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte demografik özellikler itibarıyla tüketicilerin etnosentrik eğilim düzeyleri ve döviz yatırım tercihleri arasında anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu bulgusuna da ulaşılmıştır. ; Many developments in the world and country politics, especially the economic crises, cause an increase in the exchange rate and this may affect the foreign exchange buying preferences of the individuals. Considering that the demand for foreign exchange leads to a further increase in the exchange rate, individuals may remain in dilemma between the interests of the society they belong to and their own economic interests. In this study; it is aimed to determine the relationship between consumer ethnocentrism and foreign exchange investment. It is hoped that the study, similar of which is rarely found in the literature, will contribute to the researchers and the correct predictions of decision makers. In accordance with the purpose of the study, a literature review was held in the second chapter. In the third and fourth chapters of the study, the data obtained were analyzed and the accuracy of the hypotheses was investigated. A questionnaire prepared in this regard was applied to 603 participants from Konya, Balikesir, Izmir and various other provinces of Turkey. Finally, the findings obtained were given in the fourth chapter. According to the results of the study; a negative but weak relationship was found between ethnocentric tendency levels and foreign exchange investment preferences of the individuals. Along with that, it was found that there were significant differences between ethnocentric tendency levels and foreign currency investment preferences in terms of demographic characteristics.

Energy is one of the significant factors of economic growth and development. Accelerating technological developments in the global world has increased energy consumption. Nowadays, renewable alternative energy sources are high on the agenda due to the limited energy resources. This study aims to predict the future of the global energy consumption and world energy distribution scenario and reveal investment opportunities and employment results in Turkey using the projections of the current situation and future expectations. For this purpose, the relevant data obtained from the Enerdata database for the world energy distribution in the period of 2000-2050, specific to Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, North America, Latin America, CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States), and the Pacific, were compared, and the situation of Turkey in this process has been analyzed descriptively with specific indicators. According to the results, although renewable energy production investments have increased in Turkey, oil, natural gas, and coal still occupy a considerable place in the total energy supply, and the share of renewable resources such as wind and sun is very insufficient and should increase gradually. However, it has been found that the part of renewable energy sources in electricity production and primary energy consumption would rise and provide new employment opportunities with technological developments. The results are expected to provide fruitful information to policymakers, project developers, investors, industries, and relevant stakeholders.

Bu kapsamda, ülkeler sahip oldukları yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarını mümkün olan en üst seviyede elektrik üretiminde kullanmak için çalışmalar yürütmek zorunda kalmaktadır. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmanın amacı, azımsanmayacak ölçüde yenilenebilir enerji kaynak potansiyeline sahip olan Türkiye'nin bu kaynaklarını verimli, güvenilir, ekonomik, kesintisiz ve çevreye duyarlı elektrik üretimi gerçekleştirmek amacı doğrultusunda yatırım öncelikleri açısından değerlendirmektir. Bu amaçla çalışmada, literatürdeki çalışmalar ile Enerji ve Tabii Kaynaklar Bakanlığı (ETKB) 2015–2019 Stratejik Planı referans alınarak belirlenen ve ağırlıkları ANP (Analytic Network Process) yöntemi ile hesaplanan teknik, ekonomik, sosyal ve çevresel faktörlerden oluşan 4 ana kriter ve bunlara bağlı 12 alt kriter altında, Türkiye'nin sahip olduğu hidroelektrik, rüzgar, biokütle, güneş ve jeotermal enerji kaynakları TOPSIS (The Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) yöntemi ile sıralanmış ve bu kaynaklar ile yapılacak yatırım öncelikleri elde edilmiştir. ; Sustainable energy policies constitute the most part of the sustainable development moves which are compulsory to be improved in order to increase prosperity level in global world on the basis of efficiency, economy and environmental awareness. In this scope, the countries have to carry out studies in order to use their renewable energy resources at the highest level possible. Within this context, the aim of this study is to evaluate the resources of Turkey having a considerable amount of potential renewable ones with the goal of realizing efficient, reliable, economic, uninterrupted and environmentally friendly electricity generation. In this study, to reach this goal, hydroelectric, wind, biomass, solar and geothermal energy resources in Turkey have been ranking by TOPSIS method under 4 main criteria and 12 related sub-criteria comprised of technical, economic, social and environmental factors determined based on the studies in literature and 2015-2019 Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MENR) and the weights of which are calculated with ANP method and the investment priorities which will be made by using these resources have been obtained.

Bu makalenin amacı Azerbaycan ve Türkiye'nin yabancı yatırım hukuku ve siyasal yapısını mukayeseli açıdan değerlendirmektir. Geçilen on yılı aşkın zaman içerisinde, Azerbaycan ve Türkiye hükümetleri hem siyasal istikrar ve hem de teşvik edici yatırım ortamı kurmuş ve bunları da gerek iç hukukları üzerinde yapmış oldukları düzenlemeler aracılığıyla, gerekse de ikili ve çok taraflı anlaşmalara taraf olarak gerçekleştirmişlerdir. Türkiye, sınırlayıcı yapıya haiz olan önceki yabancı yatırım kanunu ve politikasını özgürleştirerek yabancı yatırımcıyı teşvik eden bir politika izlerken, benzer bir şekilde Azerbaycan ise yabancı yatırımcıyı teşvik amaçlı birçok kanun ve yasal düzenlemeleri, kanun çıkarmaya yetkili otoriteleri vasıtasıyla gerçekleştirmiştir. Bu çalışma gösterdi ki, yabancı yatırımcı için Azerbaycan ve Türkiye'de yatırımcı dostu bir ortam bulmasına rağmen, bu ülkelerdeki bazı problemler, yatırım yapılabilirliği hususunda engel teşkil etmektedir. Bürokratik verimsizlikler, yetersiz şeffaflık ve yüksek derecede ki yolsuzluk Azerbaycan'da yatırım açısında problem teşkil etmektedir. Türkiye'nin yabancı yatırımcı açısından başlıca sorunu ise, yargı sistemindeki aşırı iş yükü ve ağır bürokrasidir. ; The purpose of this article is to examine Foreign Investment Laws, and Political Structure of Azerbaijan and Turkey from a comparative perspective. The governments of Azerbaijan and Turkey have both secured political stability and established an appealing investment environment via adjustments to their domestic law, as well as signing up to bilateral and multilateral international investment treaties over the past decade. Turkey has liberalised its previously restrictive foreign investment law and policy to give encouragement to international investors. Similarly, since the establishment of the Republic of Azerbaijan, its legal authorities have been active in passing various laws with regard to foreign direct investment. The work has provided that although foreign investors seem to have found a friendly investment environment in Azerbaijan and Turkey, there are some major problems which render doing business problematic. Inefficient bureaucracy, a high level of corruption and a lack of transparency in legal and political processes are the major problem for Azerbaijan. From the perspective of investors, Turkey's chief weaknesses lie in its overburdened judiciary system and its cumbersome bureaucracy.

Bu çalışmanın amacı doğrudan yabancı yatırımların yenilenebilir enerji üzerindeki etkisini belirlemektir. Bu amaçla Türkiye ekonomisi analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmada Johansen eşbütünleşme yöntemi ve Hacker - Hatemi (2006) bootstrap nedensellik testi kullanılmıştır. Eşbütünleşme testi sonucuna göre doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar ve yenilenebilir enerji arasında uzun dönem ilişki bulunmamaktadır. Ayrıca doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar ve yenilenebilir enerji arasında nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilememiştir. Ulaşılan bu bulgulara göre, doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar teknolojik yayılım ya da çevre kirliliği kanalıyla yenilenebilir enerjiyi etkileyemeyecektir. Bu durumda doğrudan yabancı yatırımlardaki artışlar yenilenebilir enerji tüketimi üzerinde olumlu ya da olumsuz bir etki yaratmayacaktır. ; This study aims to determine the impact of foreign direct investments on renewable energy. To this end, Turkey's economy is analyzed. The Johansen cointegration method and Hacker - Hatemi (2006) bootstrap causality test are used in this study. According to the cointegration test results, there is no long-term relationship between foreign direct investments and renewable energy. Additionally, the causality relationship between foreign direct investments and renewable energy could not be determined. According to these findings, foreign direct investments will not affect renewable energy through technological diffusion or environmental pollution. Therefore, in this case, the increase in foreign direct investments will not positively or negatively impact renewable energy consumption.

Hareketsizleşen insanlar; soluk alma ihtiyacı hissetmeyen robotlara, mekanik cihazlara teslim olmuştur. Ancak; insan gibi işlev gören veya insan hayatını kolaylaştıran her şey diğer varlıklar gibi enerjiye gereksinim duymaktadır. Fosil yakıtlar, tükenmeye yüz tutmuştur. Bu, insanları yeni enerji kaynakları bulmaya yönlendirmiştir. Hemen tükenmeyen, verimi oldukça yüksek olan kaynak arayışları, yenilenebilir enerji politikalarıyla bağdaşmış; vazgeçilmez, sürekli geliştirilebilir bir hal almıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, literatürde fazlasıyla yerini almış yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının nasıl oluştuğu ve bu kaynakların türlerini değil, gelir gruplarına göre ülkelerin yenilenebilir enerji yatırımları yaparken hangi faktörlerden ne düzeyde etkilendiğini tespit etmektir. Çalışmanın ilk üç bölümü kavramsal giriş olmak üzere, dördüncü bölüm yöntem, beşinci bölüm gelir durumlarına göre sınıflandırdığımız ülkelerin belirlenen faktörlere göre karşılaştırılması; altıncı bölüm Türkiye açısından faktörleri değerlendirme, yedinci bölüm sonuçlar ve bu ülkelere göre analiz şeklinde sonlanmaktadır. Enerji kaynakların, yenilenebilir enerji ve kaynakları hakkında kısa bilgiler verilmiştir. Dünya'da ve Türkiye'de yenilenebilir enerji incelenmiştir. Yatırım kavramına, enerjiye olan yatırımlara ve teşvik mekanizmalarına değinilmiştir. Yenilenebilir enerji yatırımlarını belirleyen politikalar sınıflandırılmış; faktörlerin daha iyi irdelenebilmesi için kavramsal bir şema oluşturulmuştur. Bulgular; teknik bilgi yetersizliği, enerjideki ekonomik politikalar, ülkelerin coğrafi konumu, uygulama alanları, tecrübesizlik hususlarında ve yatırımların artması yönünde fikirler sunmakta, ülkemizle kıyaslamaya imkan vermektedir. ; With the industrial revolution, people's living comfort increased; As it provides the advantages of increasing the needs and reaching the needed ones quickly, it has also brought problems. But; Everything that functions like human beings or makes human life easier needs energy like other beings. Fossil fuels are running out. This has led people to find new sources of energy. The search for resources, which are not immediately exhausted and highly efficient, are compatible with renewable energy policies; It has become an indispensable, continuously improvable. Renewable, clean, environmentally friendly energy source; It constitutes the first and most important development plan of all policy makers around the world. Facilities and incentives provided by governments; It has led many companies to invest in renewable energy and has caused good gains on suitable grounds. However, every investment has positive aspects as well as disadvantages. The purpose of this study is to determine how the renewable energy resources, which have taken place in the literature, are formed and not the types of these resources, but to what extent countries are affected by what factors when making renewable energy investments according to income groups. The first three parts of the study are conceptual introduction, the fourth part is the method, the fifth part is the comparison of the countries we have classified according to their income levels, according to the determined factors; Turkey sixth portions factor for evaluation, seventh section and terminates in the analysis results according to the country. Brief information about energy resources, renewable energy and resources was given. renewable energy in the world and Turkey were examined. The concept of investment, investments in energy and incentive mechanisms are mentioned. Policies affecting renewable energy investments are classified; A conceptual scheme has been created in order to better examine the factors. Classified according to income groups; Investors' view of investments in the countries we take as a basis and the driving-driving factors of the country's methods are presented in a table. Results; It offers ideas about the lack of technical knowledge, economic policies in energy, the geographical location of the countries, application areas, inexperience, and the increase of investments, and allows comparison with our country.

Bu tezin amacı gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan 71 ülkede kurumsal faktörlerin doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar (DYY) üzerine etkisini 1995–2002 yılları arasında, yatay –kesit veriler kullanarak incelemektir. Tezin birinci bölümü, doğrudan yabancı yatırım teorilerini ve doğrudan yabancı yatırımların bölgesel dağılımını anlatmaktadır. İkinci bölüm doğrudan yabancı yatırımları etkileyen ekonomik ve kurumsal faktörleri içermektedir. Son bölümde temel olarak üç model (kurumsal, ekonomik ve bölgesel –kurumsal) geliştirilmiş ve test edilmiştir. Test sonuçlarına göre söz hakkı ve hesapverilebilirlik, politik istikrar, bürokrasinin etkinliği, hukukun üstünlüğü, düzenlemelerin kalitesi ve yolsuzlukla mücadele gibi kurumsal faktörlerle DYY arasında pozitif bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. ; The purpose of this dissertation is to examine impact of institutional factors on foreign direct investment (FDI) in 71 developed and developing countries for the period of 1995 –2002 by using cross–sectional data. First part of the study describes theories about foreign direct investment and regional distribution of FDI. Second part of the study contains economic and institutional factors that affecting FDI. In the last part of the study, basicly three models (institutional, economic and regional-institutional) are developed and tested. Test results show that institutional factors such as voice and accountability, political stability, efficiency of bureaucracy, rule of law, quality of regulations and lack of corruption are positively related to FDI.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, gelişmekte olan bir ekonomi olarak Türkiye'ye yönelik ve gelişmiş bir ekonomi olarak Almanya'ya yönelik doğrudan yabancı yatırımlardaki yabancı sahiplik yoğunluğu, ev sahibi ülke ve kaynak ülkelerin ticaret hayatı ile ve yatırım çeken şirketler ile ilgili hangi faktörlerin etkisi altında değişmektedir? sorusuna cevap bulmaktır. Araştırmada çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi kullanılmaktadır. Teorik alan yazında sahiplik stratejisinin oluşturulması ile ilgili on yaklaşım mevcuttur. Araştırma sonucunda her iki ülke için yabancı sahiplik yoğunluğunu açıklayan faktörlerin ortaya konulmasında "işlem maliyeti yaklaşımı"nın geçerli olduğu bulunmuştur. Bu yaklaşımdan başka Türkiye'ye yönelik yatırımlarda sahiplik yoğunluğunun açıklanmasında "pazarlık gücü yaklaşımı"nın, Almanya'ya yönelik yatırımlarda "örgütsel yeterlilikler" yaklaşımının geçerli olduğu bulunmuştur ; The aim of this study is to find answers to the following research questions: which business-life and firm-unique factors have influences over foreign ownership concentration of inward FDI's to Turkey as a developing country, and to Germany as a developed country? Multiple linear regression analysis method is used in this study. There are ten approaches about building ownership strategy in theoretical literature. Results of this research are as follows: "transaction cost approach" is valid for explaining foreign ownership concentration for both countries. Other than that, "bargaining power approach" is applicable to explain foreign ownership concentration of investments to Turkey, whereas "organizational competences approach" is applicable to explain foreign ownership concentration of investments to Germany

Küreselleşme faktörü; ekonomik, sosyal ve siyasi alanlarda, dünya genelindeki bütün ülkelerde bir taraftan fırsatların, diğer taraftan ise risklerin meydana gelmesine neden olmuştur. Bu süreç içerisinde, ticaretin küreselleşmesi ve ülkeler arasındaki ekonomik entegrasyon faaliyetlerinin artması, ülkelerin birbirlerinden bağımsız bir şekilde hareket edebilme güçlerini kısıtlamıştır. Özellikle ekonomi alanında meydana gelen değişim ve dönüşümler, devletlerin gerek mali ve gerekse siyasi yapıları üzerinde de önemli etkilere neden olmuştur. Küreselleşme sürecinde kamu maliyesi alanında görülen etkilerin en başında, vergileme konusu gelmektedir. Küreselleşme ile gelişen ülkelerin ekonomik, sosyal ve siyasi alanlarda birbirleri ile olan karşılıklı etkileşimleri, vergileme alanında daha belirgin olarak görülmektedir. Dünyada liberal ekonomi politikalarının etkili olması ile birlikte, ulus devlet anlayışı zayıflamış, ülke sınırları artık anlamını yitirmiş ve sermayenin önündeki engellerde ortadan kalkmaya başlamıştır. Bu doğrultuda, gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırımları(DYSY), ekonomik büyüme ve kalkınmanın sağlanmasında, büyük önem arz eder hale gelmiştir. Ülkeler; küresel sermayeden daha fazla pay alabilmek ve yabancı yatırım düzeylerini artırabilmek için, düşük oranlı vergileme politikaları izlemeye başlamışlardır. Bu amaçla izlenen vergi politikaları, vergi rekabeti kavramının oluşmasına neden olmuştur. Küreselleşme ile birlikte hızla artan ve etkili olmaya başlayan vergi rekabetinin etkili olduğu alanların başında ise, DYSY'ler gelmektedir. Bu çalışmada, ilk olarak vergi rekabetinin ülke ekonomileri üzerindeki etkilerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmış ve daha sonrasında ise, küreselleşmenin temel göstergesi olan vergi rekabetinin DYSY'ler üzerindeki etkilerinin, Türkiye ve AB ülkeleri açısından, panel veri analizi yöntemi ile belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. ; On one hand, globalization factor has brought opportunities in economic, social and political fields for all the countries across the globe; and on the other, it has caused several risks. Within this process; the globalization of commerce and the increase in international economic integration activities, have limited the nations' power to act independently from each other. Especially the changes and transformations taken place in the economic field have caused significant effects on both the nations' financial and political structures. The most important effect seen in the field of public finance during globalization process is the issue of taxation. Developed by globalization, nations' mutual interactions in economic, social and political fields can be seen more clearly in the field of taxation. Due to the effectiveness of liberal economy policies in the world; the perception of nation-state has been weakened, national boundaries has lost their significance and the obstacles against capital, has started to be removed. In this direction, foreign direct investments (FDI) have become of vital importance for developed and developing countries that seek for achieving economic growth and development. In order to receive more shares from the capital and to increase their foreign investment levels, nations have started to pursue low-rate taxation policies. Tax policies that are followed with this objective, have led to the creation of tax competition concept. The most important field, in which tax competition has started to be effective and has been rapidly increasing with globalization, is FDI. In this study, it was initially aimed to analyze the effects of tax competition on nations' economies, and then, it was aimed to determine effects of tax competition, which is the main indicator of globalization, on FDI by panel data analysis method in terms of Turkey and EU nations.
