Resumen: El corrido es un género musical que describe historias de corte épico y se consolida a partir de la Revolución Mexicana iniciada en 1910. En estos predominaron los relatos de acontecimientos y personajes idealizados y se presentaba al mexicano como valiente y parrandero. En los últimos treinta años, en México se intensifican crisis económicas que afectan a amplios grupos sociales, quienes se expresan a través de la creación de nuevas composiciones que aluden a luchas populares, a movimientos de la izquierda y se fortalecen los corridos que narran la práctica de actividades ilícitas como el tráfico y producción de estupefacientes. A esta última variante del corrido, el Estado y los medios masivos de comunicación han denominado Narcocorrido. Sus creadores, intérpretes y consumidores, los denominan Corridos Pesados. Desde una perspectiva antropológica, los "Corridos Pesados" constituyen un medio de expresión de diversos grupos sociales vinculados por compartir concepciones culturales basadas en la producción, distribución y consumo de estupefacientes. Este artículo presenta el proceso de consolidación de los Corridos Pesados, sus variantes regionales y el papel que desempeñan en el enfrentamiento entre grupos de poder y el Estado. Abstract: The corrido, a musical genre that developed during the Mexican Revolution of 1910, initially recounted courtly epics featuring idealized events and characters and depicted everyday Mexicans as brave and men about town. In the last thirty years, successive economic crises have afflicted diverse Mexican social groups which find solace in the creation of new corridos that allude to popular struggles and leftist movements. Eine vergleichende Analyse von Geschichtslehrwerken (2008-2010) dreier Verlagshäuser verschiedener spanischer Regionen bestätigt die dem Beitrag vorangestellte These, dass die Darstellung und der Diskurs der spanischen Historie bewusst zum Aufbau einer nationalen katalanischen Identität eingesetzt werden. Die Divergenzen in der kulturellen bzw. geschichtlichen Perzeption werden durch einen nuancierten Sprachgebrauch, gezielte Selektion der Abbildungen und Quellen sowie strukturelle Anordnung der Schulbuchtexte sichtbar.

"Silent Dust", released in February 1949, was one of a group of films that explored the problems of the returning Second World War veteran. Although the maladjusted veteran is a feature of all major wars, it assumes an added significance in this instance because the Second World War, in Britain and America at least, is conventionally understood "almost universally as honourable and noble, fought with right and justice exclusively on the Allied side". Angus Calder has argued that the dominant narrative constructed about the Second World War in Britain was what he terms the "myth of the Blitz", a heroic myth of courage, endurance and pulling together. This myth, through its perpetuation in an enormous array of cultural practices - notably a cycle of combat films in the 1950s such as "The Dam Busters" (1955) and "Reach for the Sky" (1956) - became the accepted view and was almost impossible to dislodge. It was a myth that was officially ratified in the British state's commemoration of the war and, like all dominant discourses, served to marginalise alternative constructions of the conflict, particularly those that represent it as a traumatic and possibly brutalising experience. By analysing "Silent Dust" in detail and in relation to its social and cultural context, I hope to recover this repressed narrative and restore it to its rightful place as an important discourse about the Second World War.

Though think tanks have a long history internationally, they have especially in recent years come to play an increasingly important role in both policy-formulation and public debate. In this article, we analyse the growing presence of think tanks in a Danish context during the 2000s and the first half of the 2010s, because in this national setting think tanks are still a relatively new phenomenon. Based on theories of mediatization and de-corporatization, we present 1) an analysis of the visibility of selected Danish think tanks in the media and 2) an analysis of their political networks outside the media. The study shows that the two largest and oldest think tanks in Denmark, the liberal think tank CEPOS and the social democratic think tank ECLM, are very active and observable in the media; that the media's distribution of attention to these think tanks, to some extent, confirms a re-politicization of Danish newspapers; but also that the news media as an arena of influence is only one part of the equation, since some of the corporatist political networks are still intact and working outside the media ; Though think tanks have a long history internationally, they have especially in recent years come to play an increasingly important role in both policy-formulation and public debate.
