The article verifies the use of the term feminicide in the journalistic coverage of the homicides of women practiced by their comrades or ex-comrades for reasons of belonging to the female sex, when the crime involves domestic and family violence, as well as the contempt or discrimination related to the condition of woman. The sample is composed by eight articles in the online version of Jornal do Tocantins, specifically published in 2016. Methodologically this article practises Content Analysis. The research seeks to promote a reflection about the important contribution of news, as one of the mechanisms of access to information, for the formation of public opinion and cultural change necessary to combat impunity and reduce this type of crime.

The present study is linked to the research project "Imaginário na Amazônia: um estudo sobre as representações produzidas pelo jornalismo do G1/Acre", registered at the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Acre (FAPAC). The article proposes a debate on the representations and imaginary of the Brazilian Amazon, emphasizing the South-Western region, where Acre is located. It is known that since the arrival of the first Europeans, the region is observed by the dichotomy hell/tropical paradise and its population is identified as exotic, picturesque and primitive. Therefore, the research proposal is to analyze if the journalistic narratives help to maintain the preconceptions or if they are created new possibilities of interpretation on the Acre. In order to propose the reflection, six news articles published in G1/Acre on aspects of the Amazon region of Acre will be studied. The study includes materials published between 2014 and 2016. Roger Chartier is used to study representations, authors such as Miquel Alsina to discuss communication issues and Francisco Foot Hardman, Ana Pizarro, Durval Muniz de Albuquerque Junior, among others, that discuss issues related to the Amazon region.

The new curricular guidelines for journalism courses in Brazil brought a new momentum to the training of journalists. The increase in the workload of the disciplines focused on professional practice, as well as the compulsory curricular internship, show the focus on journalism, considering the most diverse media possibilities. In view of this reality, we intend to take a look at the context of journalism in Brazil, observing the historical trajectory of the course, the struggle for formation and regulation of the profession, and then focus our attention on the academic formation of this professional.

The specificities of the web help to translate the efficiency of journalistic products, with the analysis of journalistic quality based on the characteristics of the medium. This is the first text of an ongoing research, in which we perform a preliminary view of the most general values of the most visited journalistic sites of Vilhena, a city in the interior of Rondônia. The analysis sheet developed by Lluís Codina, which proposes a general evaluation of cyber-digital media, was the tool used in this first moment. In primary evaluation, we observed that only one site dialogues directly with fourth generation digital journalism, with emphasis on social networks, structured search system, use of tags and links. However, all of them still fall short of a multimedia narrative that contributes to a characterization of the latest generation of digital journalism.
