Pink activism : queer feminist cultures and arts in France ; Activisme rose : cultures et arts féministes queer en France
The term queer, when used in the French language, does not echo the same way as in English –then referring to the anglo-saxon context of emergence. The main purpose of this study is to question the phenomena of cultural transfers of queer feminism – which appeared in the mid 1980s in the United States as both a subculture and a movement of critical thinking and activism- into the French context. This cultural translation resulted in pink activism which unlike its anglo saxon original model developed a policy based on strong identity affirmation, on both a collective and individual level. The goal was to beat the French integration system deeply imbued with republican ideals, where the drifts of an abstract universalism had produced blindness towards inequalities therefore the central issue investigated in this research is how this pink activism arose in a French context of opposition to identity-based politics. Moreover, the phenomena of reception and appropriation of queer feminism into the French context must be understood beyond the sole linguistic translation – in all their dimensions, cultural political, theoritical, artistic, etc. This study aims to understand the special features of this activism, from its sometimes uneasy integration among feminist and LGBT movements to its specific applications in terms of cultural and artistic practices, thus questioning the phenomenon of aestheticism of resistance techniques.

Rantoandro, Dietmar Rothermund, Reimar Schefold, Heinz Schütte, Bart van Steenbergen, Thomas Theye, Reinhard Wendt.
In: Pôle sud: revue de science politique, Heft 17, S. 101-118
ISSN: 1262-1676
Languedoc-Roussillon is one of the French regions where the score of the extreme right wing is the highest. This tradition has continued for twenty years, a period marked by demographic turmoil. Behind the current political establishment, political forces vie for internal recomposition. The Left, winning in 1997 almost all of the deputy seats, is now on the way to moderation, thereby losing important electoral strongholds. The Right, employing a strategy of alliances with the extreme right wing, has re-conquered a majority of seats being supported by the birth of the UMP (Union pour un movement populaire [Union for a Popular Movement]). Nothing indicates that the power struggle resulting from the elections will last longer than the two previous ones, depicting the political Languedoc as white in 1993, & pink-red in 1997. 8 Tables, 11 References. Evolution of auditory discrimination in prêterai infants in incubators
This study analyses the development of prêter m infant's auditory discrimination during the firt six months of life. The infants were divided into two groups : one group born between 28 and 32 weeks postconceptional age and one group born between 33 and 37 weeks postconceptional age. The cardiac and behavioural responses of two group were recorded when the infants were stimulated with four auditory stimulations (female voice, maternal voice, white-noise and pink-noise). Results indicate that 2-weeks-old preterm infants are able to detect the auditory stimulation. The infants' responsivity did not differ as a function of term (28-32 weeks and 33- 37 weeks) or stimulation (social or not). However, the development of behavioral responses during the first six months showed significant differences for social and non-social stimulations. This evolution varies as a function of gestationnal age of birth.

Penser l'action directe des Black Blocs
Francis Dupuis-Deri
When bare life confronts landscapes ˸ an analysis of Wakamatsu Kôji and Masao Adachi's erotic and revolutionary films ; La vie dénudée à l'épreuve du paysage ˸ une analyse des films érotiques et révolutionnaires de Kôji Wakamatsu et Masao Adachi
In Japan, the 1960s open an era of political and artistic protests. The decline of traditional film studios is followed by the development of violent genre movies and pinku eiga (erotic films). New filmmakers like Kôji Wakamatsu and Masao Adachi emerge, shooting films in which nudity echoes a constant thirst for revolution, both questioning the erotic nature of bodies and criticizing the contemporary society. Crime and deviation become a new way of protesting, while eroticism allows for a counter-narrative of human relationships. Echoing this interrogation, films of the fûkeiron, the "landscape theory", address the question of the future of individuals confronted with the landscapes of the modern world. Overexposed bodies from pink cinema are now confronted with bodies that are absent, expelled from both the visible world and the official history. Criminals, revolutionaries, nymphomaniacs, all those bare lives elude the traditional classification and show a new way toward emancipation, sometimes leading to their self-destruction. This visual and narrative subjugation of the body under an organization that exceeds him questions the possibility of a radically new narrative. In the interval that separates figuration bodies from bodies capable of their own narrative, bare lives from qualified lives that are the byproduct of a rationalized system, a dialectic emerges that question flesh as a fundamental potential of images, a potential that might be the only one capable of breaking apart the way too smooth landscapes of modernity.
