Soft power Rosji ; Russian Soft Power
; Russia has always been a country seeking the Great Power status. Even though it lost its importance after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the desire to return to the role of the creator of international order force it to introduce new strategy that will implement soft power resources. This represents a certain obstacle for Russia, which traditionally is accustomed to hard power resources like economic pressure or the use of armed forces. Culture is Russia's soft power resource that is significant. Values can be more problematic for Russia, because in Moscow's intentions they should be different from the Western values. Russia is trying to create an alternative soft power project, competitive to that of the West. Russia is trying to make good use of its diplomacy, including digital diplomacy, in order to show the use of its hard power to be seen as soft.

Power Asymmetry in Franchising
In: Moscow University Economics Bulletin, Band 2017, Heft 6, S. 168-182
The degree of asymmetry of power is one of the key factors affecting the relationship between the franchisor and the franchisee. The development of strategies for building relations should correspond to the legitimacy of the measures taken, as well as the costs of harmonization that arise in connection with a decrease in the adequacy of power relations between the subjects of relations. This article reveals the main factors that determine the legitimacy of power asymmetry, the consequences of not legitimate requirements described, as well as the costs of choosing different strategies on the part of the franchisor. The purpose of this article is to prove the inevitability of the emergence of power asymmetry in the relationship between the franchisor and the franchisee, as well as a theoretical description of the influence of asymmetry on their relationships. The results of the article can be used by franchisors in formulating strategies for building relationships with franchisees.
Argument siły czy siła argumentów? Unia Europejska w stosunkach międzynarodowych jako soft power ; The argument of power, or power of arguments? The European Union in international relations as a 'soft power'
; The article attempts to analyze how the European Union plays its distinctive international role as a so-called soft power. The paper takes into account the fact that the EU acts on its external environment using primarily of a political, diplomatic, economic and cultural means, and not through the use of 'hard' instruments of coercion (including the armed forces). The concept of the European Union as a 'soft power' serves as a starting point for the presentation of other theories directly related to it – in the first place the concept of the EU as a 'civilian power' and 'normative power' and other theories derivatives. They take into account various aspects of the specificity of the European Union as a unique participant in contemporary international relations, restraining from using military force and promoting democratic values.

Populism in power: political consequences
In: Političeskie issledovanija: Polis ; naučnyj i kul'turno-prosvetitel'skij žurnal = Political studies, Heft 1, S. 182-191
ISSN: 1684-0070
The populism phenomenon has become a mainstraim political research topic at the beginning of the 21st century. Scholars have focused on different aspects of this phenomenon. In the peer-reviewed monograph "Populism in power. Strategies and Consequences of a Populist Stay" (Wiesbaden, 2021) the author analyzes the results of a populist government in a geographical area. It is argued that populism in power has the following characteristics: charismatic leadership, public political opposition, networking and shutdown of patronage institutions that stand between populist status and the so-called "true people", paving the way for the autocratization of assemblies. The author shows the peculiar position of populist governments: how they come to power and what they do as a political elite to create their own legitimacy. Most of them act as the leaders of a permanent election campaign. The first step towards their new legitimacy is always the delegitimization of any opposition and this naturally opens the way to anti-pluralism.

Sport as an Element of Qatar's Soft Power ; Sport jako element soft power Kataru
Until recently, the State of Qatar remained little recognized throughout the world. However, as a result of a well-considered and long-term brand building strategy, linked closely to foreign and security policy, Qatar has become not only a globally recognized country, but also – due to the disproportion between its geographical size and its impact on international activities – a trustworthy brand that is known and respected in the most important political and business circles. The main goal of this paper is to analyze one of the elements of Qatar's brand building strategy, which is the use of sport for political purposes, and to answer the question as to what degree sport in the analyzed case can help with accomplishing those strategic objectives. To do so, the paper will analyze both the internal and external (international) dimensions of Qatar's sports policy. By to zrobić, w pracy zanalizowano wymiar wewnętrzny i zewnętrzny (międzynarodowy) polityki sportowej Kataru.

"Soft Power" as "Hard Power": "Color Revolutions" ; «
In information society, the information delivered by mass media and becoming the most effective weapon in "information wars" plays a huge role in the formation of public consciousness, the dominating ideological principles and motives of social actions. In the last decades, the strategy of "soft power", which different states treat in different ways, has become more relevant. Russia implements the policy of "soft power" as using the opportunities of civil society, informational and communicational, humanitarian and other methods and techniques, in addition to traditional diplomatic methods, which is defined by the Concept of Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation. There is another practical application of the policy of "soft power" that includes informational "brainwashing" and manipulation of consciousness and is directed at destabilization of political regimes. It acts as a technological resource of the USA, which has developed and field-tested the strategy of nonviolent change of political regimes. The author critically comprehends the techniques of "soft power" and "nonviolent resistance", analyzes ways of protection against destructive informational and psychological influence, define the backbone spheres in the course of any state counteracting a similar strategy.
