Der Artikel bezieht sich auf neu auftauchende politische, wirtschaftliche und soziale Fragestellungen und Problemfelder, welche noch nicht auf der öffentlichen Tagesordnung stehen, aber als zukünftige relevante Themen vorhersehbar sind. Diese Vorhersehbarkeit wird an drei Beispielen verdeutlicht, dessen eines sich mit der Arbeitsmarktentwicklung von Hochschulabsolventen in den Vereinigten Staaten befaßt. Ausgehend von demographischen Methoden trifft der Autor Voraussagen über die mögliche zukünftige Entwicklung dieses Problems und den Wandel der öffentlichen Einstellungen und Lösungsvorschläge dazu. Zu erwarten seien politische Vorstöße, die die arbeitsvertraglichen und unternehmensplanerischen Freiheiten der Arbeitgeber beschränken bzw. das Recht der Arbeitnehmer auf einen Arbeitsplatz stärken. Christy E. Lopez joined the Georgetown faculty as a Distinguished Visitor from Practice in 2017, and was made Professor from Practice in 2020. From 2010 to 2017, Professor Lopez served as a Deputy Chief in the Special Litigation Section of the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice. She recently sat down for an interview with Contexts Managing Editor, Genesis Fuentes, to discuss her time at the Department of Justice where she was the primary drafter of the Ferguson Report.
