La storiografia ha esaminato con originalità e da diverse prospettive il suffragio e la rappresentanza ma ulteriori approfondimenti possono giungere dallo studio dei significati che l'«universo semiotico» della politica attribuisce alle differenze di genere nello spazio pubblico. Sulla base di una ricerca sulle fonti a stampa e d'archivio, il saggio esamina le pratiche discorsive sull'«uomo pubblico» e sulla «donna pubblica» nei primi vent'anni dell'Italia repubblicana. Al fine di mettere in evidenza le tante eredità del passato sulla politica italiana, offre alcuni spunti sulle rappresentazioni della femminista di primo Novecento e sulla «sovversiva» negli anni del regime fascista. ; Historiography has examined suffrage and representation with originality and from different perspectives, but further elucidation can come from a study of the meanings that the "semiotic universe" of politics attributes to gender differences in public space. Based on research using press and archive sources, this article examines discursive practices in relation to "public man" and "public woman" in the first twenty years of Republican Italy. In order to highlight the many legacies of the past in Italian politics, I offer some insights into representations of "feminist" in the early twentieth century and "subversive" during the fascist regime.

The 43rd UID conference, held in Genova, takes up the theme of 'Dialogues' as practice and debate on many fundamental topics in our social life, especially in these complex and not yet resolved times. The city of Genova offers the opportunity to ponder on the value of comparison and on the possibilities for the community, naturally focused on the aspects that concern us, as professors, researchers, disseminators of knowledge, or on all the possibile meanings of the discipline of representation and its dialogue with 'others', which we have broadly catalogued in three macro areas: History, Semiotics, Science / Technology. Therefore, "dialogue" as a profitable exchange based on a common language, without which it is impossible to comprehend and understand one another; and the graphic sign that connotes the conference is the precise transcription of this concept: the title 'translated' into signs, derived from the visual alphabet designed for the visual identity of the UID since 2017. There are many topics which refer to three macro sessions: - Witnessing (signs and history) - Communicating (signs and semiotics) - Experimenting (signs and sciences) Thanks to the different points of view, an exceptional resource of our disciplinary area, we want to try to outline the prevailing theoretical-operational synergies, the collaborative lines of an instrumental nature, the recent updates of the repertoires of images that attest and nourish the relations among representation, history, semiotics, sciences.

[EN] In 1548, under the Florentine lordship of the Medici, Charles V gave Cosimo I de Medici the task of defending the territories of Elba and the commercial traffic of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The Duke, who strongly believed in the potential of the island and wanted to transform it into the center of Florentine rule over the Tyrrhenian, decided to fortify the ancient city of Ferraia, the current Portoferraio. A real jewel of military town planning that took the name of Cosmopolis was born by the architect Giovanni Battista Bellucci and by the engineer Giovanni Camerini. Thanks to its natural conformation, the gulf of Portoferraio protected on one side a strip of land that closes the port like a spiral, and on the other hand protected by two rocky headlands overlooking the sea, was extremely strategic and suitable for defense. Fort Stella and Fort Falcone were built in the upper part of the promontory and the Linguella tower, near the dock, all connected by a bastion wall. Later the defense was further strengthened by walls and ramparts also on the land front side according to the project of the architect Bernardo Buontalenti, transforming the city into an impregnable fortress, as well as a safe naval base. The study of urban representations of the city testifies to how the foundation of Cosmopolis for the Medici duchy was an event of extraordinary value, symbol of the strength of the Duke and his expansive abilities, symbol of an ideal city not only conceived and designed in contemporary treatises, but actually made. ; Boido, C. La cittadinanza europea pone un problema definitorio: lo status di cittadino europeo dipende dall'essere cittadini di uno degli stati membri dell'UE. Tale dipendenza, che determina un legame di sovrapposizione, tende a mascherare la differenza delle due forme di cittadinanza. Il sentimento di appartenenza nazionale prevale, da un punto di vista soggettivo, rispetto alla comune appartenenza europea. Mediante un'analisi sociologica relazionale di stampo storico-culturale verranno individuati i caratteri peculiari della cittadinanza europea. L'affermazione positiva e non meramente suppletiva della cittadinanza europea, identifica un'identità collettiva connessa in modo inscindibile alle singole identità nazionali e ispirata da un «modello riflessivo» capace di accogliere in sé l'estraneo. L'analisi relazionale sarà poi integrata dallo studio delle rappresentazioni sociali che compongono la narrazione giornalistica italiana. Verranno analizzati gli articoli pubblicati nell'ultimo quarantennio da alcuni dei principali quotidiani nazionali («Corriere della Sera», «la Repubblica», «La Stampa»), giungendo a una sintesi concettuale dei patterns argomentativi predominanti che disegnano i contorni della cittadinanza europea nel contesto italiano. Lo studio della comunicazione giornalistica non si riduce a una descrizione quantitativa della ricorrenza con cui le tematiche europee vengono proposte nella stampa nazionale ma, attraverso un approfondimento contenutistico delle informazioni riportate nel corpo degli articoli, tenta di determinare quale rappresentazione del cittadino europeo viene veicolata dai media. L'intento del presente studio è quello di comprendere il substrato meta-concettuale che consente ai cittadini di relazionarsi alle istituzioni europee, dando forma a quel «senso di appartenenza» nodale per la realizzazione di un assetto governativo realmente democratico. ; European citizenship poses a definitory problem: the status of European citizen depends on being citizens of one of EU member states. This dependence, which determines a relationship of superposition, tends to mask the difference of the two forms of citizenship. The sense of national membership prevails, from a subjective point of view, with respect to the common membership of the EU. Through relational sociological analysis of historical and cultural mold, will locate the specific characteristics of European citizenship. The positive affirmation of European citizenship identifies a collective identity inseparably linked to the individual national identity, inspired by a «reflective model» capable of embracing the extraneous. Relational analysis will then be supplemented by the study of social representations that make up the Italian journalistic narrative. It will be analyzed articles published in the last four decades by some of the major national newspapers («Corriere della Sera», «La Repubblica», «La Stampa»), reaching a conceptual synthesis of the predominant argument patterns that draw the contours of European citizenship in the Italian context. The study of journalistic communication it is not reduced to a quantitative description of the recurrence wherewith European issues are proposed in the national press but, through a detailed study of the information contained in the body of articles, tries to determine which representation of the European citizen is conveyed by the media. The aim of the present study is to understand the meta-conceptual substrate which allows citizens to relate to European institutions, giving shape to that «sense of membership» nodal for the realization of a truly democratic governmental structure.

La riforma del bicameralismo rappresenta nell'ordinamento italiano una delle tematiche più dibattute sin dalla "concessione" dello Statuto Albertino. In Assemblea Costituente, infatti, l'opzione tra monocamerali e bicameralismo - prima - e il dibattito su che tipo di bicameralismo si sarebbe dovuto adottare - poi - hanno dato vita ad una parte organizzativa particolarmente debole e in gran parte antiquata rispetto alle esigenze della prima parte della Costituzione che, al contrario, ha rappresentato il precipitato di una profonda consonanza di ideali. La tesi si propone dunque l'obiettivo di dimostrare che l'esigenza di procedere ad una riforma del sistema bicamerale in Italia sia oggi quanto mai attuale e necessaria. Da un lato, infatti, essa favorirebbe il superamento delle inefficienze del sistema parlamentare e potrebbe rappresentare uno strumento per ovviare alla debole razionalizzazione della forma di governo che, da sempre, ha determinato la strutturale instabilità degli esecutivi. Dall'altro lato, la riforma servirebbe soprattutto a realizzare quella connessione organica tra Stato e regioni necessaria per completare il disegno regionalistico che si ricava dalla Costituzione stessa. Esigenza questa che, peraltro, si è notevolmente rafforzata con la riforma del titolo V della Costituzione, la cui portata innovativa è stata sostanzialmente svuotata di contenuto a causa delle difficoltà che si sono incontrate nella sua attuazione. ; In Italy, bicameralism's reform is one of the most debated topics since the "concession" of the Statuto Albertino. In Constituent Assembly, in fact, the choice between single-chamber and two-chamber system - first - and the debate about what kind of bicameralism would have taken - then - have given rise to a very weak organizational part and largely outdated to meet the needs of the first part of the Constitution that, on the contrary, was the precipitate of a deep harmony of ideals. The research proposes the goal of demonstrating that the need to carry out a reform of the bicameral system is now more than ever necessary and imperative. On the one hand, it would help to overcome the parliamentary system's inefficiencies and could be a tool to remedy the weak rationalization of government's form, that has always led to structural instability of the executives. On the other hand, the reform would serve mainly to make the organic connection between the State and the regions, needed to complete the regionalist design derived from the Constitution itself. This requirement, which, however, has been greatly strengthened by the reform of Constitution's Title V, whose innovative capacity has been substantially rendered meaningless because of the difficulties that have been encountered in its implementation.

This paper explores the representations of factories in video games, in relation to dystopian fictional worlds. The representation of the factory, its role in video game storytelling, its connection with game design elements, are connected to the ways in which this building is a concrete embodiment of a dystopic system of power. The research is introduced by a brief survey of factories in video games. Then, this paper presents three progressive models, linked to three concrete examples: Beyond Good & Evil (Ubisoft, 2003), Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs (The Chinese Room, 2013) and NieR: Automata (Platinum Games, 2017). Finally, the contribution ends with a fourth category, linked to explicitly political video games. ; Il saggio analizza le modalità rappresentative delle fabbriche nei videogiochi in rapporto ai mondi finzionali distopici. La rappresentazione della fabbrica, il ruolo che ricopre all'interno di una narrazione, il suo legame con elementi di game design, costituiscono alcuni snodi intorno a cui questi edifici si sono costituiti come concrete incarnazioni di ideali o sistemi di potere distopici. La ricerca è introdotta da una breve ricognizione sulle fabbriche nei videogiochi. A hundred years ago , during the I World War, the first forms of military camouflage were devoloped. The earlier Unité de Camouflage was born in February 1915 in the french army. Mimetic camouflage design, called Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM), was the product of an intention of deceit based on concealment of equipment and facilities against the enemy. These primitive forms of invisibility searched the mimesis with the environment, and they developed both abstract and figurative solutions. This paper presents the mimesis pictorial solutions produced by the military camouflage, their relationships with avantgarde painting of the moment, and paradoxes posed on the concept of imitation in the field of contemporary art and visual culture, through the desestabilization of the notions of representation and naturalism. ; Universidad de Málaga. This essay proposes an investigation on the forms of contemporary cynicism, combining the interpretation of political drama with reflections of the daily life sociology, particularly referring to Simmel, Goffman and De Certeau. In an expanded historical perspective from the 21st century metropolis to the communication media of the 20th century, it proposes a reconstruction of the political action and of certain moment of its imagination. A moment that shall be studied as from its relations with money, time acceleration and sensory overstimulation, which institute a new image of social relations. Cynicism seems to be, in the conditions created by metropolis and media, the cultural form more suitable for management and organization of daily events in public sphere. ; Esse ensaio propõe uma investigação sobre as formas do cinismo contemporâneo, conjugando a interpretação do drama político com reflexões da sociologia da vida cotidiana, com particular referência a Simmel, Goffman e De Certeau. Numa perspectiva histórica ampliada da metropóle do século XXI aos meios de comunicação do século XX, propõe uma reconstrução da ação política e de determinado momento de seu imaginário. Um momento que será estudado a partir de suas relação com o dinheiro, com a aceleração do tempo e com a superestimulação sensocial, que instituem uma nova imagem das relações sociais. O cinismo parece ser, nas condições criadas pela metrópole e pela mídia, a forma cultural mais adequada para a gestão e organização dos eventos diários na esfera política.

The role of information has assumed, in the last decades, a central place in planning theory and research, especially around the capacity of misinformation to shape power relationships in the political arenas. The theme of counter-information, with its capacity to contrast the institutionalized information, has contextually emerged in the public debate. The authors suggest a parallel to the duality of misinformation/counter-information, building on the representation of urban spaces and processes: "mis-representation" versus "counter-representation". A Reading of the flux of representations on Martim Moniz Square in Lisbon is given and the swift transformations of this place are highlighted. Therefore, the relationship between institutional policies and local practices, between spaces for conflict/dialogue, and their representations are debated as crucial for the capacity (or not) of grass-root rquests to soar at the role of organized action.
