Chile suffered a military dictatorship led by General Augusto Pinochet between September 11, 1973 and March 11, 1990, when the military overthrew President Salvador Allende and established a far-right military regime. This period of Chilean history was characterized by a violent political repression with almost thirty thousand people imprisoned and more than three thousand two hundred executions, although there are authors who maintain that the fatal victims of this conflict were many more. Abstract The discursive construction of women as "witches" or "sluts" has been one of the many ways that they have historically been sex-politically oppressed and controlled. This article has as objective to show how the Slutwalk in Manizales has been configured as a creative and experimental collective practice of resistance. From transgression, it fulfills the role of unraveling the patriarchy violence through their perverse categorizations upon women. Therefore, the slut as locus of political struggle will be a strategic, parodic and post-identitary resistance category.

; This article presents four key of readings about Thomas Hobbes's work, from which it supports a particular notion of resistance. In others words, this contribution searches to create the conditions of posibility for a philosophical debate obfuscated by the recurrent myth about the monster of Malmesbury. Once done that, I offer setting the bases of a metodological aproach which stars from this notion of resistance. Thus, I would back the first step towards a contemporary appropriation ?or expropriation? of the obedience-security relationship within the Hobbesian matrix. ; Fil: Fernández Peychaux, Diego Alejandro. During WWII, the French interior resistance called for the participation of all the civilian forces within the country's population. The participation of women and their bravery in the fight against occupation were reflected on the great number of written witness accounts produced by them which were also passed on to literary fiction, thus contributing to keeping alive the memory of those years of struggle and questioning of the political and cultural identity of the European peoples.
This paper presents a method for calculating the fire resistance of unreinforced axially loaded concrete filled circular hollow section columns, based on the guidelines of Eurocode 4 Part 1.2 for the fire design of composite columns. The different design approaches which are currently available worldwide are reviewed in this paper, focusing in particular on the European code, which is discussed and analysed in depth. Several of the aspects which are nowadays missing or thought to be arguable by researchers in the Eurocode 4 method are studied and on the basis of parametric studies a new proposal is developed, so that designers can easily apply the code in the future. The parametric studies investigate the main factors affecting the fire resistance of unreinforced concrete filled tubular (CFT) columns, such as the outer diameter, the thickness of the steel tube wall, the relative slenderness of the column at room temperature and the fire exposure time, widely covering the range of values which can be found in practice. From the results of these parametric studies, equations for obtaining the equivalent temperatures of steel and concrete are developed, and appropriate flexural stiffness reduction coefficients are integrated in the simple calculation model of Eurocode 4. The method presented here is valid for centrally loaded circular CFT columns filled with unreinforced normal strength concrete, and makes possible the calculation of slender columns, extending the current limitations in buckling length of the European code ; The authors would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Spanish "Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovacion" for the help provided through the Project BIA2009-9411 and to the European Union through the FEDER funds. ; Espinós Capilla, A.; Romero, ML.; Hospitaler Pérez, A. The Colombian Pedagogical Movement was a teacher movement, emerging at the end of the Seventies and consolidating during the Eighties, that called teachers, unionists (Fecode, Colombian Educators of Federation) and scholars to relocate teachers as cultural workers and pedagogy as a piece knowledge far political resistance in defense of public education. This movement accomplished institutional visibility during the XII Congress of Fecode and adopted, not only structural elements from modern and old Social Movement theories (in which un ion and identity practices and discourses can be found), but also elements from contemporary social movements where singularities and horizontal organization schemes are allowed. The first section of the article briefly describes "resistance" from the perspective of different authors such as Tony Negri, Michael Hardt, Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Félix Guattari, Pierre Bourdieu and others. The rest of the article characterizes different demonstrations of social movements and social resistance that in one way or another were portrayed by the Colombian Pedagogical Movement.
; ABSTRACTC: Agroecology today has a strong focus on bringing sustainability to food, feed, and fiber production. But there is also a larger focus on the social, economic, and political "drivers" that move food systems beyond the conditions that have created un-sustainability in modern industrial agriculture. With its ecosystem foundation, the science of agroecology has become a powerful tool for food system change when coupled with an understanding of how change occurs in society. In this paper I trace the roots of agroecology to its emergence as Agroecología in Mexico in the 1970's as a form of resistance to the Green Revolution. Agroecology has become much more than a science for developing better, safer, and more environmentally-sound food production technologies. Agroecology is more than a way to practice agriculture, such as organic or ecological production. Agroecology is also a social movement with a strong ecological grounding that fosters justice, relationship, access, resilience, resistance, and sustainability. Agroecology seeks to join together the ecological and social cultures that helped human society create agriculture in the first place.

In today's Mexico, the resistance and mobilization of Indigenous people are diverse and no longer seem to constitute a single collective identity, as they did in recent decades, but rather a multiple and fragmented whole. As this article tries to show, there are four main causes behind this situation. The first is the diversity of conditions in which, for historical reasons, Indigenous people live. The second is the accumulation of grievances and challenges, both new and variegated, that the aggressive recurrence of extractive capitalist ventures is creating in their territories. The third cause is the government's indifference and neglect toward their social, economic, educational and political demands. And the fourth is the variety of initiatives that Indigenous peoples themselves introduce in their struggles to break and transcend, with much creativity, the status quo that oppresses and marginalizes all of them.
Palabras clave: mujeres, antifascismo, emancipación, Guerra Civil, solidaridad, machismo, lucha, retaguardia.ABSTRACTThe Agrupación de Mujeres Antifascistas (Anti-Fascist Women's Group) was an illustrative example of the women's mobilization during the Second Republic in Spain, a considerable number of members in various towns in the province of Castellón. These women organised themselves into resistance networks to help the Frente Popular Government win the war, by fighting against fascism in the rearguard and in various fields. They ended up forming one of the first feminist awareness movements, as they condemned and fought the patriarchal society both inside the leftwing organisations thernselves and outside them. It was under the very circumstances aeated by the Spanish Civil War that they took on a more prorninent role with greater freedom of action, as they had to take on positions and tasks which had until then exclusively belonged to men. However, their hopes of achieving a more egalitarian society were shattered by the victory of fascism, which would subsequently subjugate women under a tyrannical state nurtured by their own submission.Key words: women, anti-fascism, emancipation, Spanish Civil War, solidarity, male chauvinism, fight, rearguard.
; This paper explores how the growth of mining in the Sierra Mariscal (Mexico-Guatemalan border) has unified various religious perspectives present in the region and has exacerbated its presence, in a context of defense of the territory. Several social conflicts, derived from the transnational mining activity in the study area, encouraged among the Mame people the interest in reviving ritual practices considered traditional. In addition to other political practices rooted in the region, these shape what we call the dialogues of the land, which incorporate added meanings into the strategies of political resistance against the extractive activity.
