There has been much scholarly attention given to the role of women in the labor market throughout the years. While there are plenty of evaluations of ideas and perspectives regarding work-life concepts, there is limited understanding regarding the theoretical foundation of work-life concerns specifically about mothers. This study aims to provide an overview of theories used to investigate the work-life issues of working mothers. The data were collected from the Web of Science database. A total of 63 research studies examining the work-life challenges faced by employed women were evaluated based on theoretical frameworks. It was seen that identity theory and gender perspective are dominant perspectives in the current literature. In addition, the prevailing work-life perspectives adopted in the studies are work-life balance and work-life conflict. The study offers a detailed examination of the various theoretical perspectives employed in understanding the work-life difficulties encountered by employed mothers.

This study investigated the impact of employees' perceptions of overqualification on their turnover intention, as well as the role of boreout and work alienation in mediating this relationship. The study used a relational survey approach and collected data from a convenience sample of 210 university administrative staff, with an equal distribution of male and female participants and an average age of 38 years and an average tenure of 11 years. The researchers used the Perception of Overqualification Scale, Turnover Intention Scale, Boreout Scale, Workplace Alienation Scale, and Personal Information Form to collect the data. Confirmatory factor analysis and Pearson Correlation analysis were used to analyze the data, while mediation analyses were conducted using the Process macro. The study found that employees' perception of being overqualified for their jobs had a significant positive effect on their turnover intention, and that this relationship was mediated by both workplace boreout and work alienation. The study's findings indicate that employees who perceive themselves as overqualified are more likely to experience boreout and alienation in the workplace, which in turn increases their turnover intention. The study's limitations were discussed, and the findings were contextualized within the existing literature on turnover intentions and workplace dynamics.

Bu çalışmanın amacı bireylerin sahip oldukları genel yaşam doyumlarının, psikolojik iyi olma durumlarına ve bir çalışan olarak işlerine olan tutkunluklarına etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Bununla birlikte psikolojik iyi oluşun, yaşam doyumu ile çalışmaya tutkunluk arasında öngörülen aracılık rolünün incelenmesi araştırmanın diğer bir amacıdır. Araştırma, Karadeniz Bölgesi'nde öğrenci barınma hizmetleri kapsamında öğrenci yurtlarında görev yapan çalışanlar örnekleminde 2022 yılı Haziran ile Temmuz ayları arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplamak için yüz yüze anket yönteminin kullanıldığı araştırmada 191 katılımcıdan geri dönüş sağlanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS26 paket programında korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri ile analiz edilmiştir. Toplanan veriler ve gerçekleştirilen analizler doğrultusunda elde edilen bulgulara göre tüm hipotezler kabul edilmiştir. Hipotezlerin kabulü ile birlikte; bireylerin yaşamlarına ilişkin sahip oldukları tatmin duygusunun onların psikolojik olarak kendilerini iyi hissetmelerinde ve iş hayatlarında da bunu sürdürerek, örgütsel etkinlik ve verimlilik için arzu edilen ve pozitif çalışan davranışlarından biri olarak kabul edilen çalışmaya tutkunluğun gelişmesinde önemli rol oynadığı ifade edilebilir. Sonuçlar yaşam doyumunun artması ile birlikte psikolojik iyi oluş ve çalışmaya tutkunluğun da artış göstereceğine işaret etmektedir. Aynı zamanda psikolojik iyi olma durumunun da çalışmaya tutkunluğun önemli bir belirleyicisi olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Uluslararası eğitimin toplumlar üzerinde köklü ve kalıcı etkilere neden olması, toplumlar arasında sempatik ilişkiler kurulmasına ve etkileşime yol açması onu kullanışlı bir dış politika aracı yapmaktadır. Türkiye de 1950'li, 1990'lı ve 2010'lu yıllardaki aktif dış politika uygulamalarında uluslararası kamuoyunu etkilemek, kendisine müzahir kılmak, uluslararasılaşmak, çevre coğrafyasında nüfuz alanını genişletmek
amacıyla uluslararası eğitimi kamu/kültür/eğitim diplomasisi şeklinde bir yumuşak güç unsuru olarak kullanmıştır. Türkiye'nin dış politikası ve uluslararası eğitim stratejisi paralellik göstermiş, 1950'lerde Batı bloğu politikalarına endeksli, 1990'larda kültürel diplomasi ağırlıklı, 2010'larda ise kültürel diplomasiyle birlikte terör ve radikalleşmeyle mücadele, küresel etkili bölgesel güç olma, istikrarsız coğrafyaları
normalleştirme, çok taraflı ve çok katmanlı dış politikasına destek sunma, Türk dünyasında işbirliğini derinleştirme politikalarında uluslararası eğitim Türk dış politikasının en önemli gündemlerinden birisi olmuştur.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Boko Haram terör örgütü ve Orta Afrika'da bölgesel güvenlik sorunlarının ortaya çıkmasındaki temel faktörleri, güvenlik sorunlarını, küresel ve bölgesel aktörlerin yaklaşımını analiz etmektir. Boko Haram, özellikle Nijerya'da faaliyet gösteren bir terör örgütüdür ve yıllar içinde Orta Afrika bölgesine genişleyerek bölgesel güvenlik endişelerini artırmıştır. Sınırların geçişkenliği, yoksulluk, işsizlik, devlete karşı güvensizlik ve bölgesel terörist gruplar arasındaki bağlantılar, örgütün Orta Afrika'da yayılmasının temel faktörleridir. Bu yayılma, kitlesel nüfus yer değiştirmelerine, ekonomik bozulmalara ve topluluklar arası gerilimlere yol açmıştır. Birleşmiş Milletler (BM) ve Orta Afrika Ülkeleri Ekonomik Topluluğu (Economic Community of Central African States – ECCAS) gibi küresel ve bölgesel aktörler, Boko Haram'a karşı istihbarat ve güvenlik iş birliğini artırmış ve uluslararası düzeyde çeşitli ortaklıklar kurulmuştur. Ancak, Boko Haram'ın Orta Afrika'da oluşturduğu tehdit, bölgesel ve uluslararası düzeyde koordineli bir mücadeleyi gerektirmektedir. Bu tehdide karşı yapılan askeri operasyonlarla birlikte, uzun vadeli istikrar için yoksulluk, eğitimsizlik ve çatışmanın nedenleriyle mücadele edilmesi stratejik öneme sahiptir.

The depiction of identity in foreign policy analysis is typically presented as inherent or predetermined. However, discursive approaches within the field, particularly poststructuralism, have emphasized foreign policy discourse's influence on identity formation. The main aim of this paper is to elucidate the performative relationship between identity and foreign policy through a poststructuralist lens, even in situations that are not existential or geographically proximate crises. This study employs a critical discourse analysis methodology to examine the performative dynamics between foreign policy discourse by the Justice and Development Party (AKP) policymakers and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) about distant natural disasters and the construction of the Turkish national identity. The study presents three primary findings: firstly, the AKP's foreign policy discourse recognizes the Indonesia and Pakistan disasters as significant events, in contrast to the case of Haiti; secondly, this discourse constructs a homogenous Turkish identity; and thirdly, this homogeneous Turkish identity qualifies by several signifiers and is distinguished from external others.

When British travelers visited Kurdish regions in the first half of the twentieth century they recorded their memories and opinions on Kurdish society, especially the position of women. This article analyses the text the British travelers produced to understand whether they were written from an orientalist perspective. The freedom of Kurdish women impressed the British travellers and officers, and in particular they differentiated between Kurdish women and other Muslim societies. They admired the high status of Kurdish women in society regardless of class, in both rural and urban communities. That freedom was reflected in their clothing, lack of face coverings and confident treatment of foreigners. Women participated in politics, became leaders of their communities, and educated themselves, leading British travelers to make comparisons between Kurdish and European women. This article challenges the idea that British travelers considered Kurdish women solely from an orientalist perspective. While orientalism determined many of their views on Kurdish society, British views of Kurdish women were informed by comparison with Europeans.

In the 1990s, Kurds living in Mardin and the surrounding provinces were subjected to various pressures, forced migration, and negative treatment such as village evacuation. Veysi Altay's documentary "Bir" (The Well) tells the story of the disappearance of seven people, three of whom are children after they were detained in the Dargeçit district of Mardin in 1995, and the search for them by their relatives. The fact that the director, who traces the search, focuses on the struggle of the seven relatives instead of drawing attention by implying the Kurdish problem with popular political references, brought the documentary to an objective point.In this study, based on the documentary The Well; Instead of "documentary-reality", which distances reality from fiction as much as possible, the possibilities of shooting a "real documentary" will be analyzed. In this context, the reasons for avoiding the use of metaphor, the director's limitation of his camera, and the relationship of preference with ethics will be included in the analysis.While "The Well" has strong meanings from literature to visual arts, in the narrative it has been transformed into a setting, character, and plot that can be grasped, seen, and recorded in history by conveying the truth to witnesses; in this state, instead of losing its meaning from its "reality", it gained strength by feeding on the richness of fiction, but also gave up on poetic reality or all kinds of abstract meanings.This study will examine the effects of the director's direct involvement in the narrative on ethical values and its contribution to the reality of the film, as well as investigate the limits of the construction of "truth" in the post-truth period with a documentary film.The fact that the director renounces his power over the film and turns into the eye that is "attracted" and "witnessed" from time to time, rather than "shooting" the film, will be examined ethically with the method of discourse analysis.The aim of the study is to present an example of whether the creation of documentary cinema in search of reality and its way of influencing the masses are in conflict with ethical principles.

This handbook suggests a global, transnational perspective on the history of education as a field. Apart from an introductory chapter written by the editors, the text includes 36 articles divided into six parts. Each article describes a subject in the field and ends with a bibliography for further reading. As repeatedly stressed in the book, this field has developed since the early nineteenth century with the emergence of the modern nation-state. Its scope and content expanded and underwent some transformations since the 1960s with the introduction of new perspectives, issues, and methods through interaction with the discipline of history and the broader social sciences.

Arabian society, which lived on the border of two great civilizations in the 7th century in an ignorant life away from civilization, experienced great changes and transformations when Islam emerged. The Arabs of the Age of Jahiliyya, which does not have any written document about the pre-Islamic period, built a great civilization that started with the example and practices of the Prophet and the principles and messages of the Qur'an. No doubt, the messages of the Qur'an, which guided people toward science and education in the first place, had great effects on this great transformation. The education-intensive messages of the Qur'an came to life and gained meaning with the practices of the Prophet. With his message, "I was sent as a teacher" the Prophet paved the way for the formation of a great scientific and educational tradition for the following periods with his practices and verbal messages. Unmatched in previous religions, the great incentives on the way leading to the demand for knowledge turned Muslims into great seekers of knowledge and education. The Hadith "Achieve knowledge even if it is in China" and similar messages paved the way for scientific journeys (Rihle), which have an important place in the history of Islamic education. Hatib al-Baghdadi revealed the transformation of the messages of the Prophet into "Rihle" as an educational tradition with his work under the same name. ın this way, in addition to the emphasis of the verses on science, the Prophet's pointing out science and education to his ummah as a target was the basis for the formation of a great scientific and educational tradition.
