In the present paper we address the criticism of the Hegelian doctrine of mediation (Vermittlung) developed by Kierkegaard in the second volume of the book Enten-Eller (Either/Or). First we analyze the kind of opposition that Kierkegaard is not willing to relativize through the use of the dialectical mediation. For that purpose the contributions made by Shannon Nason to the understanding of relative opposites in Hegel and in Kierkegaard are applied. Next we indicate the place where the concept of mediation is located in Kierkegaard's approach, namely, within the "sphere of thought". Afterwards we approach Theodor W. Adorno's criticism of the Kierkegaardian attempt to develop a "dialectics without mediation". In the last section we approach both the criticism and the limitation of the concept of mediation made by Kierkegaard as well as the objections raised by Adorno against them. We also present some reflections on the criticism of mediation made by Kierkegaard and the young Marx as an expression of social critique which remains implicit in the former and that is explicit in the latter. ; En el presente trabajo se aborda la crítica a la doctrina hegeliana de la mediación (Vermittlung) que Kierkegaard desarrolla en el segundo volumen de Enten-Eller (O lo uno o lo otro). El trabajo comienza con un análisis del tipo de oposición que Kierkegaard no está dispuesto a relativizar por vía del recurso a la mediación dialéctica. Para ello se aplican los aportes realizados por Shannon Nason para la comprensión de los opuestos relativos en Hegel y en Kierkegaard. Luego se señala el lugar que le confiere este último filósofo al concepto de mediación en su posición propia, a saber, dentro de la "esfera del pensamiento". Posteriormente se aborda la crítica de Theodor W. Adorno al intento kierkegaardiano de desarrollar una "dialéctica sin mediación". En el último apartado se evalúa, en conjunto, la crítica y limitación del concepto de mediación realizadas por Kierkegaard, así como las objeciones elevadas por Adorno contra las mismas. Asimismo, se presentan algunas reflexiones sobre la crítica de la mediación por parte de Kierkegaard y del joven Marx como expresión de una crítica social que permanece implícita en el primero y se muestra explícitamente en el segundo.

[spa] El propósito de la presente tesis doctoral consiste en estudiar algunas de las relaciones entre lenguaje y fuerza a partir del análisis de la dimensión performativa de la literatura. Para ello, se recurrirá a una lectura cruzada de las obras de Søren Kierkegaard y Jacques Derrida. Mientras que en el pensamiento del primero puede hallarse una suerte de proto-performatividad que, sea como autoridad descentrada, ironía, fe o comunicación indirecta, desarticula el carácter productivo del lenguaje y lo torna un espacio de pasividad, en el segundo la literatura encarnará una performatividad que despliega su fuerza de forma incalculable, a través de un desvío o perversión estructural al funcionamiento del signo que hace, de la escritura, una fuerza de ruptura. La articulación de estas características permite esbozar una performatividad literaria que, por su carácter extraordinario, pasivo e imprevisible, se ha decidido denominar con el concepto inventado de "proliferancia". La propuesta de este término, que confía la dimensión política de la literatura a su capacidad de destituir o deponer un orden simbólico mediante los efectos azarosos de su fuerza, constituye la tesis del presente trabajo. La proliferancia es una pasión del habla, un per- formativo diseminado, una comunicación indirecta o un exceso a la palabra: da cuenta de una prolijidad estructural en el lenguaje. De ahí que la proliferancia inaugure la posibilidad imposible del acontecimiento, y permita pensar una política literaria de la alteridad. La primera parte de este trabajo desarrolla estas cuestiones. En la segunda, se piensan tres formas de proliferancia para observar su dinámica. Cada una de estas formas destaca por deconstruir una de las instancias en que Jakobson asentó la estructura de la comunicación: de este modo, la proliferancia del preludio desarticula el mensaje como propiedad significativa de un texto, y altera la economía del sentido como circulación de la comunicación; hace del mensaje el vehículo de un deseo. En segundo lugar, la proliferancia de la confesión deconstruye la figura del autor como instancia soberana o fuente de legitimidad hermenéutica, cultiva en la palabra y en el nombre un secreto, la secreción de una herida, la paciencia o la pasión de una verdad incógnita que entra en la escritura. Por último, la proliferancia de las cartas de amor, forma eminente de la oración o la declaración, destituye la figura del destinatario como la conclusión segura de la escena comunicativa: nadie sabe a quién dice amar cuando dice que le ama; y sin embargo lo dice. De ese desfase entre hablar y decir trata la proliferancia, la insólita performatividad de la literatura que esta tesis doctoral defiende. En este desacoplamiento entre lenguaje y sentido, que coincide con el desacoplamiento entre sentido y soberanía, se instaura la política de la escritura que vindica. ; [eng] The purpose of this doctoral thesis is to study some of the relationships between language and force on the basis of an analysis of the performative dimension of literature. To this end, a cross-reading of the works of Søren Kierkegaard and Jacques Derrida will be carried out. While in the thought of the former a kind of proto-performativity can be found that, whether as a decentralized authority, irony, faith or indirect communication, disarticulates the productive character of language and turns it into a space of passivity, in the latter literature will embody a performativity that unfolds its force in an incalculable way through a structural deviation or perversion to the functioning of the sign that makes writing a force of rupture. The articulation of these characteristics allows us to outline a literary performativity which, due to its extraordinary, passive and unpredictable nature, we have decided to name with the invented concept of "prolifferance". The proposal of this term, which entrusts the political dimension of literature to its capacity to displace or depose a symbolic order through the random effects of its force, constitutes the thesis of the present work. Prolifferance is a speech passion rather than a speech act, a disseminated performative, an indirect communication or an excess to words: it gives account of a structural prolixity in language. Hence, prolifferance inaugurates the impossible possibility of the event, and allows us to think of the literary politics of otherness. The first part of this study develops these issues. In the second one, three forms of prolifferance are considered in order to observe their dynamics. Each of these forms stands out for deconstructing one of the instances in which Jakobson established the structure of communication: firstly, the prolifferance of preface thus disarticulates the message as a significant property of a text, and alters the economy of meaning as a circulation of communication; it makes the message the vehicle of a desire. Secondly, the prolifferance of confession deconstructs the figure of the author as a sovereign instance or source of hermeneutic legitimacy; it cultivates, in the word and in the name, a secret, the secretion of a wound, the patience or passion of an unknown truth that enters into writing. Finally, the prolifferance of love letters, an eminent form of the prayer or declaration, removes the figure of the receiver as the sure conclusion of the communicative scene: no one knows who they claim to love when they say they love them; and yet they say it. Prolifferance, the unusual performativity of literature that this doctoral thesis supports, is about this gap between talking and saying. In this decoupling between language and meaning, which coincides with the decoupling between meaning and sovereignty, the politics of writing that it vindicates is established.

This article aims to determine the theological foundation of the German jurist Carl Schmitt's concept of sovereignty. According to our hypothesis, such theological foundation belongs to the philosophy of the Danish thinker Søren Kierkegaard, who, in different works, developed concepts such as exception, decision and teleological suspension of the ethics in relation to the religious experience of repetition. As we will see, such concepts are at the base of the famous Schmittian definition of sovereignty: "It is sovereign who decides on the state of exception" and that defines the decisionism of the German jurist. Thus, by means of the concept of decision, extracted from the Kierkegaardian work and introduced into the doctrine of sovereignty, Schmitt achieves four objectives. On the one hand, it not only begins the criticism of liberal parliamentarism and the bourgeois State of Law, but also reveals the theological-existential foundation of the political unity of the modern State. Second, in the political-legal framework, it updates the fideistic theology developed by Kierkegaard in his work. Finally, in the political-theological framework, he introduces the role of decision as an actualizer of the public role of transcendence in secularized modernity as opposed to the eschatological reserve of theology. To achieve this goal, we will use the method of conceptual theological-political analogy created and applied by Carl Schmitt himself to the history of the European sovereignty. ; El presente artículo tiene como objetivo determinar el fundamento teológico del concepto de soberanía propuesto por el jurista alemán Carl Schmitt. Según nuestra hipótesis, tal fundamento teológico se encuentra en la filosofía del pensador danés Søren Kierkegaard, quien, en diferentes obras, desarrolló los importantes conceptos de excepción, decisión y suspensión teleológica de la ética en relación a la experiencia religiosa de la repetición. Dentro del corpus de la teoría de los movimientos sociales, está la temática de la afectividad. Éstas promueven u obstaculizan el devenir de los movimientos. Dentro del campo de investigación, se observa que hay pocas investigaciones que den cuenta de la angustia dentro de los movimientos. A partir de esta observación, se elabora una síntesis teórica basada en dos autores para comprender cómo investigar empíricamente estos procesos. El primero es Søren Kierkegaard, y el segundo es Paulo Freire. A partir de estas lecturas se elabora una síntesis en la que se describe como resultado teórico que la angustia puede vivirse de tres modos en relación a los movimientos sociales. Se denomina a estas formas de la angustia como a) angustia inhibitoria, b) angustia prescriptiva y c) angustia emancipatoria. Las primeras dos facilitan el reproducir el fatalismo y el fascismo, así como la última es la forma de la angustia que promueve desarrollar procesos emancipatorios. Palabras clave: Movimientos sociales, angustia, teoría política. ***** The anguish in the social movements: A reflection about the horizon of political action Abstract Within the corpus of the theory of social movements, there is the theme of affectivity. These promote or hinder the evolution of movements. Within the field of research, it is observed there is little research that accounts for the anguish within the movements. From this observation, a theoretical synthesis based on two authors is elaborated to understand how to empirically investigate these processes. The first is Søren Kierkegaard, and the second is Paulo Freire. From these readings a synthesis is elaborated in which it is described as a theoretical result that anguish can be experienced in three ways in relation to social movements. These forms of anguish are called as a) inhibitory anguish, b) prescriptive anguish and c) emancipatory anguish. The first two facilitate the reproduction of fatalism and fascism, as well as the last one is the form of anguish that promotes the development of emancipatory processes. Resumen: PRÓLOGO La filosofía del siglo XIX, en sus líneas más fundamentales y características, no puede entenderse adecuadamente sino en relación con la obra de Hegel. En efecto, la filosofía del siglo pasado constituye en gran medida una reacción contra el sistema hegeliano, a la vez que recoge no pocos análisis y planteamientos del filósofo alemán. La más notable y radical reacción contra el sistema de Hegel corre a cargo de Marx y del marxismo. El marxismo, entroncado originalmente en la izquierda hegeliana, distingue y separa el sistema hegeliano (idealista) del método dialéctico. Aceptando y transformando este último, la filosofía marxista invierte el sistema de Hegel, proponiendo una visión dialéctico-materialista de la conciencia, la sociedad y la historia. Otra reacción contra el hegelianismo —reacción estrechamente vinculada a la situación económica, social e intelectual resultante de la evolución industrial— es la representada por el positivismo, especialmente por el de Comte. En este caso se reacciona contra el racionalismo hegeliano en lo que puede tener de menosprecio de la experiencia, con la pretensión de instaurar un saber positivo capaz de fundamentar una organización político-social nueva. Al igual que Marx, Comte conserva, sin embargo, aunque transformándolo, un momento importante del hegelianismo: el espíritu objetivo. El positivismo (tomado, en general, como una actitud reacia a la especulación filosófica y proclive a considerar la ciencia como forma de conocimiento, no sólo modélica, sino exclusiva) constituye por lo demás una constante en la historia del pensamiento. A pesar de sus notables diferencias de planteamiento, cabe reconocer esta línea en el empirismo del siglo XVIII, en el positivismo del siglo XIX y en el positivismo lógico del siglo XX.

Summary The purpose of this article is to discover the presence of the concept of person in the doctrine of the sovereignty of Carl Schmitt. Despite the fact that this concept had a wide metaphysical development within Christian thinking during the late age, Roman lawyers could never be dispelled from the legal imprint of their creators. For that reason, it served as a conceptual support for the subsequent roll-out of the concept of legal person, which was systematised throughout modernity. To achieve our goal, we will try to track the transformation of the concept of person throughout the middle age and modernity, as well as to review the concept of sovereignty in modern political theory. On the other hand, we will examine the notion of decision in Carl Schmitt's work, a concept which the great German lawyer used to define his own conception of sovereignty. On the basis of these clarifications, we will try to establish the relationship between the concept of a person and that of decision within the schmittian conception of sovereignty, taking as a guiding thread the theological assumptions underlying it. As we will see, such estimates will refer to the work of Danish thinker Søren Kierkegaard, whose doctrines will show us the full scope of the schmittian approach. In this way, we can conclude that the concept of a person underlying the schmittian decision has been transformed, in the first place, into a concept of political existence, a concept determined by the relationship of enemiity; and secondly, the concept of unity of personality, a concept determined by updating the spiritual dimension within the human condition. ; Resumen La finalidad del presente artículo es descubrir la presencia del concepto de persona en la doctrina de la soberanía de Carl Schmitt.
