contrasts with other monotheistic religions, Christianity allowed the cult of images, following a century-long dispute. It involved theoretical issues — the question of God's representation — but also political issues, namely mastering images in the exercise of temporal power.

The increasing use of the transition terms in the public debate contributes to the emergence of new research methods whom geographers begin to apprehend. Transition invites to consider a new action framework. In the matter of energy domain, the transition concept involves geographers in their socio-spatial interpretations. This new spatiotemporal frame, where are introduced the notions of territorialisation of the energy and the reversibility, provides an opportunity to consider these issues from a reinterpretation of the space-time couple. In this context, the thesis aims in understanding and analyzing of socio-spatial mechanisms tested by the renewable energies development, especially wind turbines. The specificity of this approach may be a geographical rendition of the Life Cycle Assessment method. For this purpose, the thesis requires the concept of landscape in its dynamic meaning. However, the life cycle assessment invites us to reshape the idea of landscape dynamics according to the notion of event. The thesis explores the arrival of a wind turbines project as an event and it focus on its sudden emergence, the induced socio-spatial destabilizations and the individual and social adaptations. The purpose of this research is to investigate a Social Life Cycle Assessment of the landscape representations of the wind energy. This ambition faces a time constraint. The allowed time of a PhD thesis faces political times and the times of the experience. Created events or suffered events impact the socio-spatial representations differently and over various timescales. Considering a diachronic study brings about rethinking the epistemological and methodological issues raised by a corpus which gathers several types of data, from different sources and which would be analyzed together. The analysis is led on discourses and especially on spatial textual references along with the individual sensibilities revealed when a wind turbines project is initiated on territory. The thesis tracks the life cycle steps of ...

The main Moroccan cities seem to be experiencing an economic decline and a weakening during the 19th century, they also seem lo have little contact with the outside world and religious, social, collective and urban organization are still little known. The Moroccan city of Salé although a prestigious and rich past is emblematic of this trend. Few foreigners seem to have had the opportunity to visit Moroccan cities such as Salé or Chefchaouen with a prestigious past but traditionally closed to foreign influences. Local archives are rare and involve a familiarity with the Arabic and official documents of the Sultanian regime, which must be deciphered sometimes in private collections. Indeed, the 19th century is a crucial historical moment : to immerse ourselves in the Moroccan urban culture of this century and in the associated historical movements allows us to have complementary and interesting insights into the Moroccan reaction to colonization and the essence of Moroccan resistance movements.

International audience ; Research on the security politics of the European Union is becoming increasingly abundant. To further the aims of this special issue on methodology among critical approaches to security, this article draws on the appropriation by this scholarship of the "social life of methods" debate to open two related lines of investigation. First, the article examines the inscription of researchers into European security politics not only as a limit to research, but as a method of access and analysis. The article looks particularly at the identification of researchers as "experts" by EU practitioners, and at expertise as method. The second line of investigation and reflection concerns the limits inherent to the way in which critical scholarship on security has appropriated the "social life of methods" discussion. The article argues that this is an opportunity to engage with methods in relation to concrete research endeavors, rather than to stage a theoretical discussion on methods.
