The main objective is to analyze the role of agents and educational institutions according
to the social inequalities that adolescents experience at the level of secondary education. This work suggests an urgent decision-making from the reality of the students in the educational
process, so that training impinges on their personal and professional development in the society. The main conclusions arising from this paper is the need to generate actions to break the pattern of reproduction of social inequalities in families and the evidence of an important role of all actors that converge in the field of education.

As a descendant of the Enlightenment, the school is still a vital modern institution, albeit in contemporary postmodern conditions. This article takes a Foucaultian perspective to analyse the power/ knowledge and the regimes of truth involved. The arguments is that the power of the school comes from the inertial force of custom, which normalises the school's disciplinary, sanctionary, instructional, and corrective practices. The modern educational project uses disciplinary methods that promote autoidiscipline and autoregulation. Its instructional processes promote individualist learning, and its rituals turn habituation into internalisation. Consistent with the critical sentiments of a Social Psychology of Education, we propose a comprehensive approach to education and its links to acculturation, instruction, and schooling. We use a critical radical pedagogy and poststructuralist analysis to argue for the need to rethink contemporary education.

Rethinking Popular Education (PE) in the contemporary world requires awareness of a scenario where multiple tensions emerge and keep the attitude of permanent question of practices and theories alive on social transformation. PE, as an option and political practice, necessarily generates a transformation of the social educational project, which not only boils down to formalized and institutionalized school, but overcomes conventional boundaries and is addressed as a pedagogical movement, with a critical and transformative sense.

This text starts from the following theoretical assumption: the colleges of education, in their pedagogical foundation, require to reconstruct and to reflect about their social commitments. Nevertheless and as a consequence of the more and more thought provoking and colonizing dynamics of the consumeristic thought, this issue has been recently become a peripheral matter. Due to the above, in this text, the issue of social commitment, as a founding matter, is demanded, and it is key to the pedagogical configuration of the colleges of education.

The article analyzes the processes by which Spanish anarchists, active in the 1930s, worked in hundreds of villages to establish anarchist education, with the goal of raising a generation that would bring about radical changes in society. This period was especially favorable for anarchism in Spain, with the flourishing of communes where anarchist education could take shape. These activists, motivated by their dedication to social revolution, were well aware of the relationship between new paradigms in education & the desired political transformation. The educational model they created was fraternal, cooperative, & free. The educational ideals of the Spanish anarchists were matched by their cultural ideals, which they were intent on passing on to future generations. The article argues that the Spanish anarchist movement, when compared to other sociopolitical movements of the era, was virtually unique in its efforts in the field of education.

The main objective of this text is to present the results of a study on the transformations that in the last two decades has undergone the Colombian University, in the perspective of showing a broader historical context which goes beyond purely cyclical transformations. This text explores four aspects: firstly, some characteristics of the educational neoliberalism are addressed and the way how it is linked with capitalism in Colombia; secondly, it examines how neoliberalism has operated in the Colombian University in the last two decades, relating as a starting point the military spending and the education spending; subsequently, the Bill No. 112 is analyzed; and, finally, some aspects of the movement of protest against this project are identified.
