In an ideal world, social media would be a primary focus of consumption choices and production possibilities for any individuals in a free market system. This technology would become key in living the modern Western culture lifestyle as the information is too critical to understanding the goings-on both in markets but in the world as well. Producers should include this focus as a key component in understanding the market and reaching the most consumers. Government policy as well should include a larger social media presence. The presented findings argue that the impacts of social media help decrease inefficiencies in the market. It increases competition, increases production, and increases technological innovation. It lowers marketing costs and lowers barriers into a market. Social media technology increases the quality of the products by eliminating "lemons" and through the competition between more firms across any online market. This creates winners as the consumers get higher quality products, but the owners' of "lemons" and firms with a nonexistent online presence lose out to the increased competition. The social welfare is increased by the social media technology and policy should keep out of the application of the technology. However, public policy should try to protect the autonomy of the online services and fight against potential abuse. As the technologies grow, a risk is shown for the possibility of developing monopoly type market dominance. This should be avoided to maximize the societal gains to this technology.

There is a new phase in the generalization of management capacities, but contrary to the assumptions of critical management educators, the investment in the business school has not been to socialize more students into this generalized management, but to seek the principle of generalization in these students themselves as part of a struggle between capital and labour. Using the insights of autonomist feminist theorists, this article attempts to analyse why critical management education has been unable to find a new object appropriate to this new generalization of management, and speculates on what the critical and political benefits might be of escaping older notions of the business school as a site of socialization for a social category of managers.

Purpose: The program of Kota Layak Anak (KLA), the Child-Friendly City (CFC), is a government program managed by the Office of Women Empowerment, Child Protection and Community Empowerment of Surakarta. This program aims to ensure the fulfillment of the rights of children. Methodology: This research is using the innovation diffusion theory approach. Diffusion of innovation is a theory that examines how the process of dissemination and adoption process that occurs in society to the presence of new innovations. Furthermore, the researcher also wanted to see how far the KLA program spread and the level of adoption that occurred in Surakarta society. This research is qualitative descriptive research using in-depth interview technique to collect data needed. Primary data sources are used interviews, as well as secondary data in the form of the document collection. The sampling technique is a snowball. Furthermore, to ensure data validation, researchers use data triangulation and interactive techniques in presenting the data. Results: The results of this research are the Office of Women Empowerment, Child Protection and Community Empower- ment Surakarta who acts as an innovator, using more interpersonal communication channel because it is considered deeper although less effective because of lack of maximization of mass communication in the socialization process. Implications: The channels of interpersonal communication are more widely used by the level of adopters and innovators because they are more persuasive. The adoption rate of the KLA program in Surakarta has reached the level of Laggards. Thus, adoption in this research includes 5 stages: knowledge (knowledge stage), persuasion (decision stage), decision (decision stage), implementation (implementation stage), and confirmation (stabilization phase).

Tax competition is the quintessential example of policy interdependence. The general idea is that tax changes in one jurisdiction lead to similar changes in others. However, research has shown that institutional and political constraints limit competition. This article develops another argument: that socialization among policy makers attenuates competitive dynamics by setting limits to the extent of competition that is considered acceptable. Using fine-grained Swiss data and spatial econometric techniques, it shows that personal income tax rates are more strongly correlated among competitors that do not participate in the same intergovernmental organizations. This finding implies that, to some extent, the detrimental consequences of competition can be mitigated by fostering institutionalized forms of interaction among policy makers.

Ethnic-racial socialization (ERS) serves as a protective factor in the development of minority children. However, few studies have focused on mixed-status Latinx families to include the broad expression of their ethnic-racial socialization practices centering on their immigration experiences as they teach their children the risks and restrictions of having undocumented status. These parents adapt their ERS in accordance with their experiences of stress, fear, and discrimination, all of which shape the type and frequency of their socialization messages. Through documentation status socialization, Latinx parents forewarn their children of the inequities associated with their ethnic-racial group and undocumented status, including possible family separation. They also teach children about nativity differences and the attendant privilege of having documented status. This manuscript highlights insights to be gained by considering documentation status socialization as an ERS dimension within Latinx families. Learning about the specific ERS practices of such an understudied group is a social justice issue with important implications for understanding how these families might adapt and respond to their social context, especially amidst a political environment that engenders fear and isolation throughout their community. Including documentation status socialization in the ERS literature is a crucial step towards developing a deeper understanding of how the structural and social forces operating within the lives of undocumented immigrants impact normative family processes that ultimately exert an influence on their children's development. A discussion on implications for practitioners and service providers working with this population is also included.

While much of the rest of the world looked upon Jordan and surrounding regions in 2013 with fear of continual revolt and religiously motivated violence, Jordanians continued to live their everyday lives, attending to ordinary concerns, such as the raising and socialization of children. The central question that this dissertation explores is: how are children in Amman, Jordan, socialized into matters of morality? Though moral education is rooted in Islam, the source of moral education is found not only in formal religious education, but also in the way Islam is lived in the everyday. Moral education is integrated into interactions between children and their caretakers. Through activities such as answering questions in the classroom, to misbehaving and then being scolded, children are absorbing values about how to be members of the community and, specifically, how to be good, moral community members. But this preparation for adulthood is done within a context of change. Amidst political, social, and economic instability, what it means to be good is in flux. Jordan is also in the midst of large-scale educational reforms, which have led to new curriculums and methods of teaching. Economic reforms have fallen short in creating jobs for the increasingly educated population. In my dissertation, I look closely at language—starting at the interactional level and moving to broader discourses about bilingualism—and argue that children are caught between what it means to be good in a moral, Islamic, and cultural sense, and what it means to be good in a globalized sense where English and the pressure toward individual achievement take on tremendous power in Jordan's move into the future. While the particulars of the balancing act differ across Jordan and even within the population I worked with, moral education is about finding a balance between local values and concerns (like who are you and how you relate to others) and progress (tied to leaving Jordan, learning English, and achieving individual success in education). The dissertation analyzes classrooms at Al-Dawran, a mid-sized private school in Amman, and interactions between children and their caregivers at home, including parents and extended family.

Subject of study is evolution regularities of of social and labor relations institutes in Ukraine and in the world. The purpose of the study is to define main factors and peculiarities of labor relations socialization at the present stage, and to generalize priorities of labor relations regulation under new conditions of their socialization. Research methods. The methodological principles the research relies on include a set of general methods of scientific cognition, including the method of analysis, synthesis, synthesis, induction and deduction, and others. Results. Factors determining peculiarities of social and labor relations formation and development are analyzed. The impact of ideas on the subject of labor and technological structures on the subject– area content of industrial relations is investigated. The underlying causes forming social partnership institutions and socially responsible business are revealed. World experience of the emergence and developmentof social and labor relations institutes is analyzed. Scientific substantiation of priorities and directions of social and labor relations regulation is carried out. The urgency to revive the monitoring system in social and labor sphere is argued. Conclusions. Social partnership is one of institutional mechanisms that contribute to formation and development of social and labor relations in Ukraine. Government serves as the guarantor of fundamental rights and freedoms, the arbitrator in workplace conflicts, the organizer and coordinator of negotiation processes in the system of social partnership. The interests of workers in the system of labor relations should be respected through social partnership by means of trade unions strengthening in social dialogue.

The scientific article analyzes and explores the concept of "political and social socialization", which has no unambiguous interpretation by various representatives of psychological science. It reveals the political and social status of youth in terms of the impact on the formation of the personality of modern student youth. In its turn, it determines the need for theoretical and practical reflection on this topic and determines its relevance. To reach the research objective, the main directions of the influence of political and social institutes of socialization on the process of formation of the personality of youth in society have been substantiated and determined. ; У статті аналізуються поняття "політична та громадська соціалізація", які не мають однозначного тлумачення серед представників психологічної науки. Йдеться також про політичний та громадський статус молоді з точки зору впливу на формування особистості, що зумовлює необхідність теоретичного та практичного осмислення теми. Обґрунтовано та визначено основні напрями впливу політичних та громадських інститутів соціалізації на процес становлення особистості, висвітлено досвід роботи у цій сфері Ужгородського національного університету.

But State intervention can also modify the transmission of values and reduce the long-run prevalence of family altruism in the population. That evolutionary effect questions the desirability of the LTC public provision. To characterize the optimal LTC policy, we develop a three-period OLG model where the population is divided into altruistic and non-altruistic agents, and where the transmission of (non) altruism takes place through a socialization process à la Bisin and Verdier (2001). The optimal short-run and long-run LTC policies are shown to differ, to an extent varying with the particular socialization mechanism at work.
