Résumé Les principales évolutions du fédéralisme espagnol ces dernières années tiennent à l'élaboration, l'approbation et la révision du Statut d'autonomie de la Catalogne, un processus qui a duré sept ans (2003-2010). Le nouveau Statut d'autonomie catalan a constitué un test historique de la structure de « l'État des communautés autonomes ». Une autre évolution concerne la consécration constitutionnelle du principe de stabilité budgétaire. Dans les deux cas, une vision homogène de la décentralisation espagnole a prévalu.

Le modèle de décentralisation politique en Espagne fait face, depuis ces dernières années, à de nouveaux défis. Ces défis sont la conséquence de la crise économique et de son impact sur l'organisation territoriale, mais également du désir d'indépendance manifesté par certains importants partis politiques catalans. Le présent article considère que pour comprendre ces problèmes, il est nécessaire de présenter une brève description du modèle espagnol d'organisation territoriale, ainsi que son évolution. C'est à travers cette description que seront traités les défis liés à la crise économique et, en particulier, l'identification des causes de certains problèmes spécifiques. De là découle aussi la question de la sécession de la Catalogne, directement liée à cette problématique.

Imaginaries are built on social representations as well as on linguistic structures. The analysis of lexical representations of German, Spanish and French about alimentation, especially meat, may allow a better insight in the imaginary linked with the latter. The analysis, although, shows that, in Spanish, meat stands symbolically for strength and that this strength has to be evacuated from the meat in German. In French, meanwhile, the division between feminine and masculine principles situates foremost the alimentation in culture and rather far from nature.

The fifteenth century defies consensus on fundamental issues; most scholars agree, however, that the period outgrew the Middle Ages, that it was a time of transition and a passage to modern times. 'Fifteenth-Century Studies' offers essays on diverse aspects of the period, including liberal and fine arts, historiography, medicine, and religion. Following the customary opening article on the current state of fifteenth-century drama research, essays treat such topics as poetry as a source for illustrated German prose, the St. Edith picture cycle in Salisbury, the flourishing of French history; and Spanish schools of translators. Other essays treat poems from the 'Gruuthuse' songbook; Louis XI and pilgrim's dress, Robert Henryson's 'Moral Fabilles,' violence in English romances, Jews' presence through absence in Vicente Ferrer's 'Sermons,' and Conrad Buitzruss's recipe collection in Manuscript Clm 671 (Munich). International audience ; Democratic historiography of the Spanish Civil War has been built up in opposition to the policy of memory of Franco's dictatorship. It has got, over years of confrontation with " official " historiography, increasingly complicated - questions tied to political violence or the management of memory finally prevailing over a more narrative studies. Nonetheless, the development has been marked by collisions with " war veterans " of the winning camp and their descendants and so with those seeking to write a new history, wicha aims to recover both the memory and the dignity of the defeated. The paper examines this development as well as their relationship with politics and the management of collective memory. ; La historiografía de la Guerra Civil española se ha ido construyendo en oposición a las políticas de la memoria de la dictadura franquista. A través de los años y de los enfrentamientos con la historia « oficial », esta historiografía ha evolucionado hacia problemáticas cada vez más complejas, en las que las cuestiones ligadas a la violencia política y a la gestión de la memoria tienen preferencia frente a los estudios más positivistas. This thesis studies new forms of realism in Spanish prose in the 2000s, from a corpus of four novels. It contemplates what makes the contemporary reality aesthetic, what its epistemology is, and what links it bears to other forms of knowledge. What roles do realist narrations play in the configuration of social imaginaries, when the heritage of the democratic transition and the narration of Spanish modernisation are called into question? We first examine the conditions of historical, socio-economic and cultural possibilities of a renewal of realism, which is mapped throughout the literary field of the last twenty years. The central hypothesis is that realism springs back up from the fact that debates around historical memory in the 2000s, and since 2008, the economic, social and political crisis prompt the revision of the transition myth and the project of modernity which had been structuring Spain's social imaginaries since the 1960s. Three parts offer different studies of realist poetics, diachronically and synchronically, to highlight the evolution of the modes of realist referentiality between the start of the 2000s and the beginning of the 2010s, the crisis of 2008 and its beginning as an inflexion point. The first part tackles two novels (Antonio Muñoz Molina, Sefarad, 2001 and Ignacio Martínez de Pisón, Enterrar a los muertos, 2005), which discuss the social fabrication of documents and historiography to reinterpret the 1936 war, the dictatorship and the transition. The second and third parts (Rafael Chirbes, Crematorio, 2007, and Isaac Rosa, La mano invisible, 2011) analyse the elaboration of a collective narrative of developmental Spain, at the dawn of the crisis, through novels which interact with the economic theory of liberalism and historic sociology. This contribution aims to put a category of contemporary analysis, intersectionality, on the challenge of coloniality in the contemporary history of metropolitan Spain. By considering it as a conceptual metaphor, from metaphorology, the proposal sees intersectionality as a cognitive category that builds new post-colonial representations of the history of Spanish citizenship, focusing its attention on the topics of intersectional thinking. In so doing, intersectionality neglects coloniality as a procedure which affects until the definition of the unit it prefers — individuality. The text therefore proposes, on the basis of the post-colonial contributions of the history of Spanish and hispanic law, that intersectionality be intersectional as a metaphor producing knowledge with a history of colonial sequencing of Spanish citizenship in the 20th century. ; International audience This contribution aims to confront a category of contemporary analysis, intersectionality, to the implications of coloniality in the contemporary history of mainland Spain. Considering it as a conceptual metaphor, from metaphorology, this paper conceives intersectionality as a cognitive category that constructs new post-colonial representations of the history of Spanish citizenship, with a strong focus on the subjects that intersectional thinking conceptualizes. Is the pícaro, the roguish hero of early modern Spanish adventure fiction, a 'real man'? What position does he hold in the gender hierarchy of his fictional social context? Why is the pícara so 'non-female'? What effect has her gender constitution on her fictional social context? In terms of a gendered subject, the picaresque figure has hardly been analyzed so far. Although scholars have recognized it as a transgressive and subversive model, the 'queer' effect of the figure is yet to be examined. With regard to the categories of class, generation, topography, and gender, the contributions assembled in this volume explore Spanish, French, English, and German novels narratologically from the perspective of culture and gender theories.

« La más dificultosa y trabajosa de todas las demás »: the Spanish Embassy in Rome in the reign of Philip III of Spain (1598-1621) Rome, spiritual centre of Christianity, modern Europe's diplomatic capital, was crucial for the Catholic Monarchy. This thesis studies the Spanish diplomatic representation in Rome during this very specific period, in several aspects. The reign of Philip III of Spain matches with a charismatic renewal of the French presence in Rome, its capacity to compete with the Spanish power after the end of Wars of Religion. This reign will indeed usher in a new type of government thanks to the emergence of a powerful favourite, the valido. The monarch will agree to delegate him most of his power. Eventually, this period's characteristic is the instauration of a peaceful period, known as Pax Hispanica, through which Philip III will end the conflicts its predecessor had opened with England and the Netherlands, whereas he must implement the Peace of Vervins he had signed with France before he sat on the throne. This thesis is focused on the analysis of the impact of such circumstances on the Spanish diplomacy in Rome and explains how the Holy See intervened in maintaining peace in Europe. This thesis accesses the Spanish Embassy close to the Holy See in order to understand how it works, its institutional aspects and materials. This analysis enables to understand the Spanish multiplicity of represented figures in Rome, among which we can distinguish, though very quite unknown, the Cardinal Protector of Castille Kingdom. Focusing on the activity of the six ordinary Ambassadors of the Monarch, this work highlights its information and clientele networks, and the strategies implemented to enforce Spain's interests and to strengthen the Spanish faction of the College.
