Published: 28 April 2018 ; In an interdependent world, this sensation that not everyone who should be here is here, that our constituencies should be completed with other criteria of inclusion, that there may be some who have been illegitimately excluded from our group points to a triple inclusion―spatial, temporal and natural―that we should undertake: the inclusion of our neighbors, of our descendants and of the environment. None of these three "votes" enough. One of the principal challenges of contemporary democracies is how to reintroduce these subjects in our systems of representation and decision-making. If this hypothesis is correct, then we have a true democratic deficit and the habitual question about whether democracy is possible beyond the national state should be reformulated to ask instead whether democracy is possible without including those who are outside the national state, or more concretely, whether we can continue calling a political system a democracy if it does not internalize the interests of its contemporaries, does not anticipate the rights of future generations or does not recognize in some way the political subjectivity of nature.
The foucauldian research on the question of the subject, the subject of knowledge and the subjectivity arise from his early studies of madness in the classical age, to the archeology of the human sciences in the classical period and modern, until his last research unfinished of the parrhesia from antiquity to Christianity. What Foucault discovered in the historical dispositions of the subject is not used to destroy the subjectivity, the will or the freedom individual, but to re-elaborate the traditional question of universal subject by placing it in the history of which the subject is not an alternative element of domination or obedience but a reciprocal element of operation. Thus the foucauldian problematizations of subject can be found in its relation to the truth as a veridiction relationship, in its relation to the power as a governmentality relationship (of self and of others), in its relation to oneself as a spiritual relationship. These three variables relationships for each period and for each individual establish a genealogy of the subject. In these multiple modalities of the subject, in this historical ontology of ourselves, we could find a kind of freedom, a place of the subject, the integrity of subjectivity which can only be applied individually and vigilant manner. That is to say, the only way by which we could get out of the subject's dilemma, by which we could refuse to be neither objective subject nor the subject object in the history or in the language, is to take its own individual relationships to the truth, to others and to oneself.
This investigated corresponds to the question of the subjectivity in Foucault from a critical reading. In archaeology it is evidenced existence of the subject of the enunciation while it appears derived from the objectivization games. In the genealogy, the notion appears of situated individual in the relations of power. In the genealogy of the ethics, the subject produced for the ethical experiences. Concludes that against the universalism of the subject's theories, these forms of subjectivity point with respect to a "historical ontologies of ourselves" letting not to discover what we are, and yes to refuse what in we become them.
This study looks at a paradigmatic example of criticism of the coloniality of power from an intellectual position which aims to transcend the national tradition of intellectual fact. The writer and thinker from Martinique, Edouard Glissant, will serve as a starting point; it will therefore be necessary to show how the issues of colo-niality (or alienation), subjectivity and alterability in their relationship to the history of the Antilles are articulated and discussed. How the author of L'Intention poetic succeeds in building a literary discourse and philosophical thinking in an alternative and distinctive setting in the French intellectual world and the afrodescending diaspora. One could speak of 'alternative thinking' because it tends to deviate from the coloniality of power (or alienation) on the one hand, and it forms part of a favourable tem-porality (or moment), which causes it to change what is decisive in the field of speech on the Antilles. To do so, Glisser proposes what he calls the 'Relation', which is a broad framework for rethinking 'globalisation.' Thus, the following hypothesis: the alternative discourse proposed by Glissant attempts to deconstruct Eurocentrism in how to think about subjectivity (or identity) and alienation. It can be understood as one of the powers of coloniality of power whose structuring force remains its internalisation by agents, so that it appears to them as a natural essence; they are thus alienated (Marx and Engels 319-20) because they are even more governed by something that departs from them. Two strong points support the above assumption. First, the history of thought: the deviation from existentialism and structuring; secondly, the correspondence between those external determinations and the reading of two Roman texts by Edouard Glissant, the fourth century (1964) and Malemort (1975), illustrative of that day. ; International audience ; This study looks at a paradigmatic example of criticism of the coloniality of power from an intellectual position which aims to ...
This paper aims at analysing political representation in its symbolic function of constructing collective identities. It relies on the theory of hegemonies of Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe, as well as on the political subjectivation, as addressed by Jacques Rancière. Both theories put dissensus at the foundation of any political community and reflect on the major role of representations of otherness in the discursive construction of identities. The praxematic epistemic and methodological framework is particularly relevant for analysing this discursive process, through the progressive freezing of the dialectic of self and other. The study field, the European elections campaign (May 2014) seems appropriate for grasping the obstacles to a European political sphere, otherwise than through its opposition to national space. From a linguistic perspective, the analysis shows the common importance of all units in the co-construction of the Real and its narrative, against the distinction between empty and full words. The study also aims at seizing the polymorphism of represented discourse. In parallel, enunciative erasure strategies prove to play a key role in the hegemonic construction of meaning, as producer of evidence. Nowadays, it is recognized that art has the power to poetize some organic materials isolated from everyday life. It is into this field that I insert my artistic practice, in which my body performs fictions made from the humoral secretions which flow from my female, mestizo and colonized identity. Through rites without myths, I break some old western taboos. I expose the violence against the other's body, with practices that mark the alterity of every being. At the intersection of aesthetics, history, politics, psychoanalysis and ethnography, I raise sensitive issues to create unique body-art works. I propose the body's humoral subjectivity, a cartography of the marginal desire of becoming-woman in a phallocratic society. This is an ambiguous utopia, because I see in the humoral and residual flesh of a non-castrated body, the sensitive territory for the introduction of a new ethics of the body.

Any statement contains traces of a subjective source at different levels. The same applies to the reported speech, which represents words or thoughts. The speech reported is indeed the place where two subjective bodies meet: from a corpus containing excerpts of fiction works and press articles in English, this study analyses the process of constructing a discursive ethos and highlighting subjectivity to work in the words of the direct speech. ; International audience Every utterance contains more or less some touches of subjectivity. So does reported speech that embodies the representation of speech andthought. Indeed, reported speech involves the confrontation of two instances of subjectivity: the reported speaker and the reporter.Based on a corpus containing excerpts from fiction and newspaper articles in English, this study aims at analysing how a discursive ethos is elaboratedby highlighting the presence of subjectivity in utterances of direct speech. ; Any statement contains traces of a subjective source at different levels. ; According to recent information, vegetation is thought to be a major source of methane. This phenomenon had not been contemplated until now and still remains to be explained. According to the authors and on the basis of rough extrapolations, it may cast light on some missing pieces in the global methane balance. The initial reaction by commentators following this discovery was to discuss its consequences on the strategy to fight the greenhouse effect considering methane's considerable impact on global warming. However, a preliminary analysis based on opinions from a range of experts underscores three aspects; the experimental discovery needs to be confirmed and explained before drawing any hasty conclusions; extrapolations performed so far on a global scale are highly inadequate and probably overestimated; implications for fighting the greenhouse effect are limited because the phenomenon in question is a natural one and not extensive enough to offset the benefits of forests as a sink for carbon dioxide.
