Tajikistan Household Panel Survey 2011
The Tajikistan Household Panel Survey (THPS) data were collected in the framework of the research project "Migration and Remittances in Central Asia: The Case of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan", which was funded by the Volkswagen Foundation in 2009-2013. The THPS 2011 was initiated by the Institute for East- and Southeast European Studies Regensburg, Germany, to explore migration and remittances in Tajikistan. The study was implemented in cooperation with the SHARQ Research Center in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The THPS 2011 was based on the Tajikistan Living Standards Measurement Survey (TLSS) administered by the World Bank and UNICEF in 2007 (wave 1) and 2009 (wave 2). These data generate a unique panel data base on migration and remittances in a developing country.
Data Collected for the Study of Memory Effects in Repeated Survey Questions
It is common to repeat survey questions in the social sciences, for example to estimate test-retest reliability or in pretest-posttest experimental designs. An underlying assumption is that the repetition of questions leads to independent measurements. Critics point to respondents' memory as a source of bias for the resulting estimates. Yet there is little empirical evidence showing how large memory effects are within the same survey and none showing whether memory effects can be decreased through purposeful intervention during a survey. We aim to address both of these points based on data from a lab-based web survey containing an experiment. We repeated one of the initial questions at the end of the survey (on average 127 questions later) and asked respondents if they recall their previous answer and to reproduce it. Furthermore, we compared respondents' memory of previously given responses between two experimental groups: A control group, where regular survey questions were asked in between repetitions and a treatment group which, additionally, received a memory interference task aimed at decreasing memory.

MOSAiCH COVID-19. Measurement and Observation of Social Attitudes in Switzerland 2020. Study on Environment and related topics - COVID-19 complement Wave 1_BETA Version
The first wave of this COVID-19 survey was fielded as part of the 2020 MOSAiCH survey. MOSAiCH is a yearly cross-sectional survey that focuses on the Swiss population's values and attitudes towards a wide range of social issues. fraXity study : A survey on frailty and complexity among individuals receiving home care / assistance
The objective of the fraXity study is to provide homecare professionals with valid and reliable frailty and complexity screening tools implementable in routine practice. Data collected by trained nurses at participants' home by means of interRAI-HC standardized interviews serve to develop computation algorithms for a frailty index (FI) and a complexity index (CI). A prospective observational case-control longitudinal design is used to assess the predictive validity of the indices with respect to undesirable health outcomes. Repeated measurement occasions, separated by 6-month intervals, also allow estimating intra-individual change in frailty and complexity. The baseline sample of volunteers aged 65 or older is divided into three groups according to a priori risks of adverse health outcomes: recipients of formal home care (case 1); recipients of formal home assistance (case 2); individuals free of formal home services (control). A comparative approach allows documenting frailty and complexity rates across groups as well as their evolution over time.

Swiss Pilot ISSP 2011 Health
The ISSP HEALTH PILOT survey is the pilot survey of the 2011 International Social Survey Program (ISSP) module on health, health policies and inequalities in health. The ISSP survey is carried out in more than 40 countries worldwide. Each edition of the ISSP covers a specific theme, which is repeated at regular intervals. In Switzerland, the ISSP is part of the MOSAICH survey (Measurement and Observation of Social Attitudes in Switzerland, http://forscenter.ch/en/our-surveys/international-surveys/mosaich-issp/). The ISSP HEALTH PILOT survey interviewed several hundred people living in the canton of Vaud in late 2009 and early 2010; it is preliminary to the MOSAiCH2011 survey, which interviews a representative sample of the resident population in Switzerland. The survey focuses on public opinion on the prioritization of resources and health care as well as on the confidence in and the satisfaction with the health care system. It looks at different dimensions: self-rated health status and well-being, personal experience with health care, confidence in the health care system, importance to be put on different health sectors, and satisfaction with the current system and its benefits.
MOSAiCH 2017. Messung und Observation von Sozialen Aspekten in der Schweiz
MOSAiCH stands for "Measurement and Observation of Social Attitudes in
Switzerland" and is a survey conducted under this name since 2005. It integrates
several international repeated surveys, with Swiss data going back as far as 1987. In
practice, a minimum of 1,200 people answer a 1-hour face-to-face interview, with the
survey being conducted every two years. The data offer valuable information about
attitudes and behaviours of the resident population of Switzerland, with strong
analytical power for sociological research.
The questionnaire is structured in five parts: (1+2) At the heart of MOSAiCH stands the
International Social Survey Programme (ISSP). This longstanding survey includes
today 45 countries all over the world. As the fieldwork of MOSAiCH takes place every
two years, two modules of the ISSP are included in each survey. There are currently 12
different modules, regularly repeated for comparisons over time. (3) The
socio-demographic part is designed to meet the ISSP requirements, and is further
elaborated to improve the analytical power. (4) An additional part of the survey takes
over certain repeated parts of the standard Eurobarometer, adapted to the Swiss
context, especially the attitudes toward political and social institutions and issues
related to the European Union. (5) A last part is open for propositions of Swiss
scholars, which have to be related to the topics of the fielded survey.
For the edition in 2017, the ISSP modules are on the repeated topics "Role of Government (V)" and "Social Networks and Social Resources (II)".
The questions for the last part have been determined by a call for proposals. These questions are related to social engagement, social inequality and social services, political consumerism, and democracy in Switzerland. Except of a single question (CHS4), located in the Face-to_face questionnaire, all these questions have been asked in the drop-off questionnaire.
Swiss Pilot ISSP 2017 Social networks
The Swiss PILOT ISSP 2017 SOCIAL NETWORKS survey is the pretest survey of the 2017 version of the International Social Survey Program (ISSP; http://www.issp.org) about 'Social Networks' realized in Switzerland. The survey focuses on social resources and support, contact frequency with family and friends and diversity and hierarchy of personal network. Issues such as access and mobilization of social relations, perception and justification of social inequalities, perceived integration, norms of obligation and reciprocity and social strain are also covered.
This pilot has been realized in Switzerland, Germany, China, Venezuela, Taiwan, Turkey and the Unites States of America with the scope to pretest and finalize the questionnaire for the main survey in 2017. In Switzerland, the pilot has surveyed just over a thousand residents, between the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016 through a paper questionnaire.
The main ISSP survey is conducted every year in more than 40 countries over the world. Every edition of the ISSP covers a specific theme, which is repeated at a regular interval. In Switzerland, the ISSP modules are included in the MOSAiCH survey (Measurement and Observation of Social Attitudes in Switzerland; http://forscenter.ch/en/our-surveys/international-surveys/mosaich-issp-2/). The "ISSP 2017 Social Networks III" module will be integrated in the MOSAiCH 2017 survey along with the ISSP 2016 module 'Role of Government' to be fielded in spring/summer 2017 with a representative sample of the resident Swiss population. Most questions of the present pilot survey will be fielded identically or slightly amended in the main survey in 2017 in all ISSP countries.
