; The impact of globalisation is a much discussed topic of the last decade. At the same time, against the background of international development, socio-political aspects and thus issues of public health appear to be taken more and more into consideration. The emerging changes in the context of international health are described and investigated in Global Health Governance research. The aim of this paper is to test German bilateral development cooperation, identifying characteristics of Global Health Governance and defining the specifications of these characteristics. For this purpose, selected projects of the "Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit GmbH / German Technical Cooperation (GTZ)" have been exemplarily reviewed. These projects involved primarily HIV/Aids activities. Within this paper other research results have been introduced to present alternative findings. Furthermore a comparison between those findings and the results of this study has been drawn and discussed.
