In seguito agli scandali alimentari che hanno coinvolto la Cina negli ultimi 20 anni, culminati con il celebre caso della melammina nel 2008, la popolazione cinese ha perso la fiducia nella sicurezza alimentare garantita dal proprio Governo. Le Autorità nazionali hanno risposto a questo stato di malcontento generale con numerose riforme legislative, introducendo la Food Safety Law (FSL) nel 2009 e la Legge sulla Sicurezza Alimentare del 2015, con lo scopo di rendere più efficienti i controlli di sicurezza alimentare e riconquistare la fiducia dei cittadini cinesi. Lo scopo di questa tesi è stato quello di valutare l'evoluzione delle abitudini alimentari dei consumatori cinesi e comprendere in che modo essi oggi percepiscano il concetto di qualità alimentare. Il lavoro è stato svolto tramite la distribuzione di un questionario composto da 36 domande ad un campione di consumatori cinesi, principalmente residenti ad Hangzhou o in città limitrofe della regione dello Zhejiang. Dall'analisi è emerso come le abitudini alimentari in Cina siano fortemente cambiate negli ultimi decenni, soprattutto a causa della globalizzazione e dell'aumento del reddito pro-capite. La qualità alimentare e la sua percezione sono risultati concetti di difficile definizione per i consumatori cinesi, ancora fortemente influenzati dallo stato di incertezza a livello di food safety nazionale. Sono emersi molteplici elementi in grado di influenzare la percezione qualitativa dei consumatori e la loro willingness to pay in fase di acquisto, tra questi, il brand, il prezzo, le metodologie di produzione eco-sostenibili e la provenienza del prodotto, soprattutto se importato dall'estero.
Il rapido sviluppo economico della Cina negli ultimi anni è stato spesso definito "miracoloso", la Cina infatti rappresenta il secondo mercato per prodotti alimentari e bevande in più rapida crescita in Asia. Gli scandali di sicurezza alimentare hanno ancora una forte influenza sul mercato; episodi come lo scandalo del latte contaminato con la melammina hanno minato in maniera considerevole la fiducia dei consumatori cinesi nei processi produttivi e negli standard di sicurezza alimentare nazionali. In risposta a tali scandali, il Governo cinese ha emanato nel 2009 la Food Safety Law (FSL) (successivamente revisionata nel 2015) che rappresenta attualmente il principale riferimento normativo in materia di sicurezza alimentare. Lo scopo di questo studio è stato quello di identificare e valutare i fattori che ad oggi influenzano la percezione del rischio alimentare da parte dei consumatori cinesi, con particolare attenzione ai prodotti giornalieri di base e alla volontà di acquistare alimenti sicuri anche ad un costo più elevato, ovvero la willingness to pay (WTP). Il metodo utilizzato per questo lavoro di tesi è stata la compilazione di questionari direttamente da parte dei consumatori cinesi. Il questionario è stato formulato, strutturato e tradotto poi in cinese in collaborazione con la Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics e si compone di 36 domande suddivise in 4 parti. Il target principale è stata la popolazione della città di Hangzhou ed in parte di altre città limitrofe. Dall'analisi delle abitudini alimentari è emerso che la fiducia dei consumatori nel cibo che consuma abitualmente è di medio livello e per alcune categorie di cibo sembra essersi ripristinato un livello di fiducia medio-alto, come ad esempio nel caso del latte e suoi derivati. Il merito è da attribuire sia alle riforme legislative adottate dal governo ma soprattutto alla forte volontà dei consumatori di voler cambiare abitudini alimentari. Più della metà del campione (56,41%), che ha preso parte a questa indagine, ha avuto esperienze dirette con alimenti non sicuri, pertanto risulta comprensibile lo scarso livello di fiducia espresso nei confronti delle normative di food safety vigenti e nell'operato del governo e l'aumento dell'interesse pubblico nei confronti della sicurezza e qualità degli alimenti. In un tale contesto di preoccupazione e di scarsa fiducia, la WTP sta crescendo sempre di più soprattutto perché i consumatori tendono ad associare fortemente il prezzo con la sicurezza di un prodotto.
Le attività di ricerca descritte in questa tesi si focalizzano sullo sviluppo dei quartieri ad energia netta zero (NZE settlements) in un caso di studio reale in Italia. Questo studio fa parte di un più ampio progetto di ricerca chiamato ZERO-PLUS (acronimo di "Achieving near Zero and Positive Energy Settlements in Europe using Advanced Energy Technology"), che fa a sua volta riferimento al programma internazionale Horizon 2020. Il progetto prevede la costruzione di quattro quartieri NZE in casi di studio reali in Europa, cioè in Italia, Francia, Cipro e Regno. In particolare, l'insediamento italiano è composto da soluzioni avanzate per l'involucro edilizio, sistemi innovativi di produzione di energia e gestione integrata delle risorse energetiche a livello di quartiere. Tuttavia, l'obiettivo di ottenere edifici ad alte prestazioni energetiche può essere raggiunto solo se si considera l'influenza contemporanea delle caratteristiche tecniche e dell'occupazione. Studi recenti riportano che, man mano che gli edifici diventano più efficienti dal punto di vista energetico, il comportamento degli occupanti gioca un ruolo sempre più importante nel consumo. Pertanto, una costruzione progettata per essere un "Net Zero Energy Building" (NZEB) potrebbe generare un consumo maggiore del previsto se le ipotesi fatte nel processo di simulazione non sono rispettate durante l'uso reale. D'altra parte, le prestazioni effettive di tecnologie innovative e ad alta efficienza devono essere verificate rispetto alle prestazioni previste. In quest'ottica, uno degli obiettivi di questo studio è quello di evidenziare i punti critici che possono influenzare le prestazioni energetiche, reali e attese, di nuovi edifici volti a soddisfare lo standard di energia netta zero. L'analisi è stata quindi eseguita attraverso la simulazione dinamica calibrata di un edificio continuamente monitorato. Nel dettaglio, le impostazioni dei parametri di comfort da parte degli occupanti e la loro interazione con l'involucro e i sistemi influenzano direttamente il funzionamento degli edifici e i relativi usi energetici. Gli strumenti di simulazione (EnergyPlus e DesignBuilder) sono stati impiegati per dimostrare il potenziale impatto degli stili di vita degli occupanti e delle diverse composizioni domestiche sull'uso di energia e sulle condizioni di comfort termico. I risultati rivelano chiaramente il loro impatto. I risparmi in termini di consumo annuale di energia possono arrivare fino al 60% nel passaggio da comportamenti errati a "verdi". Infatti, questo studio mira a focalizzare l'attenzione sull'urgente bisogno di modelli di riferimento relativi a problemi comportamentali umani che influenzano l'uso di energia negli edifici, in particolare negli NZEB. Infine, l'importanza dei fattori psicologici viene sempre più riconosciuta nel guidare il movimento NZEB. Questo studio sviluppa un esteso "Technology Acceptance Model" (TAM) per spiegare l'intenzione dei consumatori di adottare gli NZEB nel contesto dei quartieri NZE lo esamina attraverso un'ampia indagine condotta attraverso i canali dei social media. I risultati mostrano che la conoscenza soggettiva, l'utilità percepita, i cambiamenti climatici percepiti, l'atteggiamento nei confronti degli NZEB nel contesto dei quartieri NZE e le preoccupazioni ambientali generali misurate dalla scala "New Ecological Paradigm" (NEP), sono i determinanti psicologici significativi dell'intenzione di adottare gli NZEB nel contesto dei quartieri NZE. Si è anche riscontrato che la mancanza di conoscenze soggettive relative agli NZEB, e in particolare ai quartieri NZE, potrebbe costituire una potenziale barriera psicologica tra i consumatori intervistati. I fattori psicologici identificati forniscono riferimenti ai responsabili politici per sviluppare efficacemente strategie di intervento comportamentale per i consumatori e allocare risorse negli schemi di promozione dei quartieri NZE. This thesis focus on research activities within the context of the development of a Near Zero Energy (NZE) settlement in a real case study in Italy. This study is part of a wider research project called ZERO-PLUS (acronym of "Achieving near Zero and Positive Energy Settlements in Europe using Advanced Energy Technology"), which is in the International Horizon 2020 programme. The project involves the construction of four real-life case study NZE settlements in Europe, i.e. in Italy, France, Cyprus, and UK. In particular, the Italian settlement is composed of advanced solutions for the building envelope, innovative energy production systems, and integrated resources energy management at the settlement level. However, the objective of obtaining high performance energy buildings can be reached only if considering the contemporaneous influence of technical characteristics and occupancy. Recent studies report that as buildings become more energy efficient, the behavior of occupants plays an increasing role in energy consumption. Therefore, a construction designed to be a Net Zero Energy Building (NZEB) might consume higher than expected if the occupant behavior assumptions made in the simulation process are not respected during the real use. On the other hand, the effective performance of innovative and high efficiency technologies must be checked against predicted performance. In this view, one of the goals of this study is to highlight the critical points that may affect the energy performance, real and expected, of new buildings aimed at meeting the net zero energy standard. The analysis has, therefore, been performed through calibrated dynamic simulation of a continuously monitored building. In detail, indoor comfort settings by the occupants and their interaction with the envelope and the systems directly affect the operation of buildings and related energy uses. Simulation tools (EnergyPlus and DesignBuilder) were employed to demonstrate the potential impact of occupant behavior lifestyles and different household compositions on energy use and thermal comfort conditions. The results clearly reveal their impact. The savings in terms of annual energy consumption can reach up to 60% in the transition from wrong to "green" behaviour. Indeed, this study aims at focusing the attention on the urgent need of reference models related to human behaviors that influence the energy use in buildings, especially in NZEBs. Finally, the importance of psychological factors is also increasingly being recognized in driving the NZEB movement. This study develops an extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to explain consumers' intention to adopt NZEBs in NZE settlement framework and examines it through an extensive survey conducted via social media channels. The results show that subjective knowledge, perceived usefulness, perceived climate change, attitude towards NZEBs in NZE settlement framework and general environmental concern measured by the New Ecological Paradigm (NEP) scale, are the significant psychological determinants of intention to adopt NZEBs in NZE settlement framework. It is also found that lacking subjective knowledge related to NZEBs, and in particular NZE settlements, could be a potential psychological barriers among the surveyed consumers. The identified psychological factors provide references for policymakers to effectively develop consumers' behavioral intervention strategies and allocate resources in NZE settlements promoting schemes.
Con un approccio integrato di economia e marketing, il presente libro intende offrire un approfondimento delle caratteristiche, strategie e performance del nonprofit, settore e mercato inserito nella contemporanea società generosa. Mai come in questo momento storico, infatti, il nonprofit privato è soggetto a molta attenzione, non solo da parte dell'economia, alla quale peraltro afferisce a pieno titolo, ma anche delle politiche nazionali e internazionali, degli standard normativi e della pratica manageriale. Il settore nonprofit, così come inteso in questo volume, è costituito dall'insieme di enti privati, che svolgono la propria attività all'interno del sistema socio-economico, sono collocati tra Mercato e Stato e sono orientati alla produzione di utilità sociale in una logica non legata solo al profitto. In this Manifesto, broadly endorsed by a large number of other economists, we propose an array of policies which can reduce unemployment in the European Union to levels comparable to those of other industrial countries. These include supply measures focusing on revival of the long stagnant rate of investment activity, which will have the effect of increasing productivity, demand and employment. However, to insure this result rather than a rise in inflation, we must improve the willingness of firms to offer jobs and of the unemployed to take them by supply measures, accepted by a socially responsible labor., focusing on reforms of the labor market and of the system of unemployment benefits.
The abolition of the SSIS (postgraduate school for secondary education) deprived secondary school teacher training of an organic model. Since its demise, there have been a succession of temporary solutions and hypotheses on reform but these have failed to create a new training model. The lack of a cohesive and organic pathway for teacher training is an anomaly within Europe, and constitutes a factor in the weakness of Italian secondary schools. On the other hand, the training of primary and early years teachers, despite featuring an organizational model that has been consolidated over time, also raises questions and critical issues concerning, for example, innovations in teaching methods, the issues/problems associated with the aims, values and ethics of future teachers, and the relationship between general and subject-specific teaching. Recently, the Minister for Education Bianchi announced the government's willingness to discuss these issues, this willingness also being enshrined in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan: M4c1.2 'Reform of the teacher recruitment system and in-service training for school staff' (Mission 4 'Education and Research', Component1 'Enhancement of skills and right to education'1). SIPed (Italian Society of Pedagogy) intends to contribute to the analysis and discussion of the solution to the issue of future teachers' training at all levels. The issue of teacher training, in fact, condenses various problems, of a trade union and institutional, but also of a cultural nature, and it is mainly on these that our Society intends to focus. Indeed, an institutional solution to teacher training must be guaranteed by reflection on the cultural and professional profile of teachers, both at a general level and at the level of individual school grades. The essay examines the text by Gianfranco Baruchello, "How to Imagine, a narrative on art, agriculture and creativity", written with Henry Martin and published in 1983. The book is a narrative of Gianfranco Baruchello's extensive project Agricola Cornelia S.p.A (1973-1981) where personal anecdotes, artistic and philosophical speculations are intertwined in the attempt to run a farm as an artistic operation. In his book, the artist addresses several themes related to his work such as: the relationship with Marcel Duchamp, politics, ethics, art and life. How to Imagine is here examined as a diary that responds to a need for self-knowledge. Within the text there are numerous elements that can be traced back to a personal analysis and a willingness to pause in order to reconsider his own experience and his way of making art.
Questa tesi è andata ad indagare sullo sviluppo del revenue management dalla sua nascita sino ad oggi, mostrando i vari ambiti applicativi in cui in questi anni si è sviluppata, con particolare riferimento al settore alberghiero. Lo scopo dello studio è stato quello di capire come poter applicare tale politica all'interno delle strategie di marketing turistico, a partire dagli studi sulla domanda, alla willingness-to-pay e alla creazione di tariffe revenue oriented, anche attraverso il case history della UNA Hotels & Resorts. La domanda a cui si è cercato di rispondere nel seguente elaborato è stata quella di capire come poter conciliare una simile strategia con una di fidelizzazione della clientela e mettendo in luce anche le problematiche ad esso connesse e quelle che sono le difficoltà che la clientela può incontrare nel comprendere una tale dinamicità tariffaria.

Over the last decade, the digitalization of China has been running together with the general growth of the country's economy. The local government has endeavored to provide the country with a modern telecommunication infrastructure and to support the diffusion of mobile technology. Today the number of Chinese net citizens is not far away from reaching 600 million users. However, the censorship system which has always affected the flow of information and content within this country seems not to weaken. Despite the Internet is becoming more and more embedded in people's everyday life, the censorship demonstrates a formidable resilience to adapt to the new platforms made available by this revolutionary tool. A technologic blocking and filtering effort combined with the continuous monitoring and controlling of users' virtual activities makes the best of the so-called 'Great Firewall': a censorship system that would not be possible without the collaboration of the population itself and its willingness to actively practice self-censorship and self-restraint.
This book is a synthesis of the great migrations of the 6th-13th centuries, focused on the median space between the two extremes of the Eurasian continent: Western Europe and Eastern Asia. In the light of the sources, it aims to reassess the complexity of the relationships between the nomads of the steppes and the sedentarized societies that came into contact with them. The choice to focus on the Qïpčaq-Cumans is due to their history, unique because they never constituted an organized and centralized center of collective power (stateless nomads); and paradigmatic, because it encompasses all the constitutive elements of steppe nomadism: social heterogeneity, mobility, military preparation, attraction for trade and willingness to negotiate. The migrations of the nomads of the steppes and their arrival close to the great organized communities of the Islamic and Christian world, from Asia to Europe, contributed to triggering a process of integration between Asia and the Mediterranean basin, a process that the Mongol invasion and conquest completed, giving birth to a new shared global space.
[EN] The contribution reports on a research concerning the preparatory investigation of some fortified systems of Tanaro Valley (Piedmont) in view of their restoration. The research highlighted the strong connection between the castles and the memory of events and characters that were linked to these architectures; the relationship between landscape and ruins that, today, represents a potential resource for the territory; the willingness of local authorities to improve knowledge, protection and enhancement of this heritage; the need to investigate theoretical and methodological issues and define the proper procedures for the conservation, restoration, safeguard, maintenance and management of a widespread and vulnerable heritage. The study, taking advantage of interdisciplinary contributions, used innovative instruments for the survey and monitoring of this heritage, as well as graphic and digital restitution techniques to propose to the scientific community –and communicate to the native population– the interventions of restoration, conservation, enhancement and management of these fortified systems. The research demonstrates that particular attention has to be paid to these less-known historical architectures that can however contribute, as effectively as the most famous and eye-catching fortification systems, to the political and social development and to the historical identity whose recognition, preservation and valorization are strongly hoped for. ; Romeo, E. This thesis focus on the possibility to review a final conviction upon a new and more favorable judicial interpretation. The work begins with the analysis of an Italian case law, which put the problem of the retroactivity of the judicial interpretation in the middle of the scientific and judicial debate. In particular, the case was related to the abolition of the crime of omission of the exhibition of the documents by a foreign person. In this case, both the Constitutional Court and the Court of Cassation dealt with the problem of the retroactivity of a new judicial interpretation, adopting two very different models: one based on the acknowledgment of the judicial law-making; the other one based on the assumption that only the Parliament can abolish a crime. So that, according to the first model, it would be always impossible to review a final conviction upon a new judicial interpretation; on the other hand, according to the second model, it would be possible to reverse a final decision only if the judge didn't expressly consider that question of law (with which the new interpretation is related). Therefore, in both the cases, the Italian jurisprudence admits the possibility to execute the sentence for a fact which is considered no longer a crime. The Author tries to follow a third path, based on the assumption that the jurisprudence is not a source of law, but it can change its interpretation in order to correct a former one and to reaffirm the Parliament willingness.
