Im sehr hohen Anteil an berufstätigen Frauen wird auch heute noch eine emanzipatorische »Errungenschaft« der ehemaligen DDR gesehen. Zu Recht?In den weitgehend aus den Quellen gearbeiteten Beiträgen dieses Bandes wird die Verbindung von Erwerbsarbeit und Emanzipation in den beiden deutschen Nachkriegsgesellschaften untersucht. Auf beiden Seiten war eine Ausdehnung der weiblichen Erwerbstätigkeit zu beobachten. Welche wirtschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Umstrukturierungen ergaben sich daraus?
