Indonesia often experiences natural disasters, including in the city of Banda Aceh. Therefore, professional and proportional workers are needed. This research is important to do with the general objectives of knowing: "Performance Analysis of BPBD Civil Servants (ASN) in the Natural Disaster Management of Banda Aceh City". While the specific objectives are to find out: BPBD facilities in natural disaster management so far; ASN BPBD Qualifications in implementing natural disaster management; and Programs formulated and implemented by ASN BPBD in natural disaster management in Banda Aceh City. This study uses descriptive analytical methods with a qualitative approach to 10 (ten) subjects selected by purposive sampling. Data collection is done by observation, interview and documentary review. The data analysis technique was carried out in three ways, data display, reduction and conclution. The results of the study stated that the analysis of the performance of the State civil servants in the Implementation of Natural Disaster Management was not yet professional and proportional, both seen from the BPBD Facility, ASN Qualifications and the program of activities that were formulated and implemented that were not so synchronous, so it did not significantly affect the welfare of victims. For this reason, the government needs to review the synchronization of policies in terms of adequate regulations, institutions, employees and programs and finances.

This paper analyses the evolution of intercultural discourses and practices in Catalan schools (Spain), based on two studies contextualised in different times. The first study was conducted in the 2000/2001 academic year, a time of incipient immigration and the incorporation of the intercultural discourse. The second study (2015/2016), nevertheless, took place in a context of migratory stabilisation and consolidation of the intercultural discourse in the autonomous community. Both studies took the quantitative methodological approach. The results showed that intercultural discourses and practices have evolved positively (in terms of their presence in school documents, actions taken and teacher training) and in keeping with European Union guidelines over the years. However, it still remains the challenge of debunking the belief that intercultural education is related to students of foreign nationality, and therefore the practice that intercultural education is mainly addressed at schools with high percentages of students of foreign nationality. ; The research that has led to these results has been promoted by Recercaixa, specifi cally by the 'Diversidad cultural e igualdad de oportunidades en la escuela' Project ['Cultural Diversity and Equal Opportunities in School'] (Recercaixa2015 call). This paper focuses on exploring a contemporary issues in the Islamic legislations as a religion from a scientific and philosophical perspective, approach of Islam with science, and major goals of Islam in terms of rights, money, and woman. It also aims to explore the phenomenon, true concepts, and the concepts of this ideology. Based on these definitions and formulas, a two survey study was designed and used from two stage stratified random sample of cluster. The final sampling units were selected randomly from the primary sampling units (25 families from every count regions) using a systematic random sample. In this present study, it was found that for a chosen country, the Polygamy percentage is about 0.1% of married female. Only 2.11% out of the total employed female renders supports to their family. Unmarried females who are 15 years old and over with Pregnancy are less by 24.1% when compared to unmarried males. There is a high dependence on men in the case of family supporting. In conclusion, successful application of Islam with science depends on the possibility of applying them together. Therefore, the explanations and definitions of many important legislation, phenomenon, and concepts, in addition to some formulas, were suggested. This, however, would have a significant contribution to a better understanding of many phenomena in the religion, ethic, law, economic, society, and politics.

The 'rape-as-a-weapon' of war narrative has been particularly influential in the securitization of sexual violence. Drawing upon ideas about the fetishization of Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV) (Meger 2016a, 2016b), this article unpacks the language used within this security paradigm. Using an original case study, discourse analysis is used to unpack how policymakers, activists and the news media construct a 'truth' about rape and sexual violence committed in Syria. It is argued that the international political economy of this conflict is being obscured by a biopolitical security agenda that prioritizes CRSV. The foreign policy implications of this security narrative are reviewed within the broader context of International Peace and Development. Using secondary data analysis, this study examines how gendered dimensions of the Syrian conflict interact with global economic and local state/military practices to (1) reinforce existing patterns of violence against women and girls and (2), expose them to new forms of Gender-based Violence. Analyzing concepts such as 'rape-as-a-weapon of war' and terms such as 'widespread' and 'systematic', findings suggest that the selective focus on wartime rape and sexual violence in Syria, particularly by extremist groups, precludes an understanding of the complexities of conflict violence and impedes efforts to eliminate it.

Worldwide, the number of people aged 60 years and over has rapidly increased along with the increase in life expectancy. An aging population faces challenges in relation to improving self-care ability and quality of life. This study has aimed to identify the influence of self-help group therapy on the self-care ability and quality of life of elderly people in Bali, Indonesia. We employed a quasi experimental analysis using a pre-test and post-test. A total of 25 retired military officers participated in the study. Two questionnaires (WHO-BREF and WHOQOL-OLD) were adopted to compare the self-care ability and the quality of life results before and after the self-help group therapy was implemented. The data was analysed using an independent t-test. The results showed that the self-help group therapy had a significant effect on the improved self-care ability among the elderly with a mean difference of 0.2, t = 2.449 and p-value of 0.02. The self-help group therapy also significantly improved quality of life with a mean difference of 11.7, t= -8.476, and p-value of 0.00. Empowering the elderly and their families as well as the community is strongly recommended in order to establish effective self-help group therapy for the elderly.

Abstract: Performance measurement is critical for public sector organizations to determine the sucess level in implementing strategies to achieve its vision and mission. Therefore, an analytical tool is needed to measure government performance and to provide comprehensive information from both financial and non-financial aspects. The use of balanced scorecard as the measurement method could broaden the perspective, not only from the financial perspective, but also from the customer, internal business processes, and learning and growth perspectives. The objective of this study was to analyze the performance of the Department of Marine and Fisheries of Situbondo Regency in 2015 using a balanced scorecard approach. This was a descriptive qualitative research applying a case study. The informants were the local people and staffs of the Department of Marine and Fisheries of Situbondo Regency. Value for money analysis was used in measuring financial perspective and service quality (servqual), while Important Performance Analysis (IPA) used in measuring other perspectives. Conclusion was drawn based on the scoring results. Results showed that, in overall, the performance of the Department of Marine and Fisheries of Situbondo Regency was in "good" category. Results of servqual analysis showed that all aspects had negative values, meaning that the expectations were higher than perceptions so the performance should be improved based on the priorities indicated in the IPA analysis. Male and female consumers differ in terms of decision-making. This is also true for inexperienced and experienced consumers. Although the extant research delineates studies that have centered on the interrelationships between perceived ease of use (PEU), perceived enjoyment (PE), perceived usefulness (PU), attitude toward using social media (ATUSM), and users&rsquo ; behavioral intentions, there is still a dearth of empirical research about gender and prior experience as the two potential moderators. With this recognition, our study examines gender and prior experience as moderators of the effects of PEU, PE, and PU on ATUSM. Our study also investigates ATUSM as a full mediator of the impacts of PEU, PE, and PU on users&rsquo ; intentions to attend festivals (IAF). Data came from the students of the Korean Government Scholarship Program. The results from structural equation modeling reveal that the positive influence of PE on ATUSM is stronger among female users. As expected, the positive impact of PU on ATUSM is stronger for male users. As hypothesized, prior experience strengthens the positive effects of PE and PU on ATUSM. The results further reveal that ATUSM fully mediates the effects of PE and PU on IAF. Based on the aforesaid findings, theoretical implications are discussed and managerial implications to enhance business sustainability are offered.

This study entitled "ECONOMIC ANALYSIS AND STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT OF SMEs LEADING PRODUCTS IN BANYUMAS". The purpose of this research is to analyze the leading products of SMEs in Banyumas and the economic sectors in the districts that are leading sectors, prospective, mainstay and left behind. The purpose of this research is also to identify advanced districts areas that are fast growing, growing, but pressed forward and backward, and to analyze the products of SMEs which is the leading product in the center of SME products, and to formulate SME product development strategy which is to develop the leading products choice in Banyumas. This study used analytical tool SLQ, LQ, proportional growth, the growth of the share of the region, and net growth. From the analysis of SLQ, LQ, proportional growth, the growth of the share of the region, and net growth, it is suggested that coconut sugar is in a strong condition, whereas the SWOT analysis also showed that coconut sugar business opportunities in Banyumas is high. The implication of this research is that the government needs to move more economic activity so that coconut sugar industry is more advanced and continue to grow by strengthening the industrial institutions, in particular, improving production management, finance, licensing, and market segments in Banyumas. Tourism is an important economic sector in Indonesia. Natural and cultural resources are important components of tourism in Indonesia. Banyuwangi is one of the regencies in East Java which is located on the eastern point of Java. This is the largest regency of Java island with total area reaching 5782.50 km2. It attracts tourists to come. Among the factors the charm of its nature and culture. The rich of natural and cultural resources encourages local government to more aggressively promote Banyuwangi as regency eligible to be one of favorite Indonesia tourism destinations. Banyuwangi government has continually promoted the tourism objects and attractions through Department of Culture and Tourism. The study is aimed to examine the implementation of the program. To know the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the program. This research used descriptive qualitative method. It involves organizing, accounting for and explaining the data (Cohen et al, 2007: 461). Data collection method in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed by using SWOT analysis. SWOT analysis is used to formulate the recommendations in order to produce a model or right strategy for village-based English training. The Philippines has maneuvered a capillary effect of its commitment to gender equality through various domestic legislations. Gender and Development (GAD) has thus become a matter of State policy.Pursuant to a mandated policy on gender equality, this study focuses on the experience of MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) in mainstreaming GAD in the curriculum. The aim is to evaluate policy implementation and employs the Research and Teaching (R-T) nexus as the theoretical frame. Purposive sampling was done for respondents among the faculty and students and data were gathered through in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussion (FGD).The College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) have integrated GAD in two ways - through the incorporation of a subject in its programs, or as an approach to teaching through faculty initiative corroborating what Annala and Makinen (2011) referred as "personified curriculum". The findings reflect the crucial nexus between the conduct of GAD researches to teaching and the subjectivity in the process, contingent as it was on the competence of the teacher.The study recommends the provision of the wherewithal for teachers through a retooling process involving trainings and the development of a common GAD module. A required GAD subject for all students is likewise recommended to ensure the delivery of a certain level of uniformity in imparting the basic minimum.

As one of the most energy-intensive and polluting industries, ammonia production is responsible for significant carbon dioxide (CO2) and air-pollutant emissions. Although many energy-efficiency measures have been proposed by the Chinese government to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality, lack of understanding of the cost-effectiveness of such improvements has been a barrier to implementing these measures. Assessing the costs, benefits, and cost-effectiveness of different energy-efficiency measures is essential to advancing this understanding. In this study, a bottom-up energy conservation supply curve model is developed to estimate the potential for energy savings and emissions reductions from 26 energy-efficiency measures that could be applied in China's ammonia industry. Cost-effective implementation of these measures saves a potential 271.5 petajoules/year for fuel and 5,443 gigawatt-hours/year for electricity, equal to 14% of fuel and 14% of electricity consumed in China's ammonia industry in 2012. These reductions could mitigate 26.7 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. This study also quantifies the co-benefits of reducing air-pollutant emissions and water use that would result from saving energy in China's ammonia industry. This quantitative analysis advances our understanding of the cost-effectiveness of energy-efficiency measures and can be used to augment efforts to reduce energy use and environmental impacts.
