This article analyses issues of police personnel training and the influence of recent public administrationand social life tendencies on police personnel training. When analyzing historical context ofpolice training and administration in Western countries, it is stated that paramilitary model of policepersonnel administration which has been formed in the West in early 19th century is more and morequestionable. It is stated that because the society is becoming more democratic, the uniformed policeis becoming a crime prevention institution rather than a prosecutor. The police in CEE countries is alsochanging due to democratic reforms. New philosophy of police activities should be concerted with the systemof police personnel training, but in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe the aspect of the existingpractical conditions of police activities and institutional as well as cultural aspects must be considered. This article states that training system of the detective forces must be strenghtened. Also the transitionalmodel of police personnel training must be developed where "police as public service" concept is adjustedto the concept of administrative method. This could be a paradigm to the structures of police personneltraining in Western countries, especially in the context of increasing terrorism.
Recent (geo)political tensions, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the rise of nationalism worldwide have brought to the forefront processes of (de)globalization both in social, political, and economic terms. In this context, we place questions: How have Brazil's views on international organizations changed over the years and why does it matter when it comes to understanding the country's recent contribution to the processes of (de)globalization? To answer the aforementioned questions, this article discusses some of Brazil's main points of view on international organizations (IOs) from a historical perspective. Therefore, we aim to analyze the criticism and political positions of Brazil regarding the most relevant IOs over time, from the League of Nations to the United Nations and the Bretton Woods institutions. Additionally, this paper addresses Jair Bolsonaro's (de)globalization positions, especially in view of his peculiar foreign policy oriented towards the contestation of the system. As a concluding point, we provide sufficient evidence on Bolsonaro's political inclination towards processes of (de)globalization based on his contempt for the so-called 'globalism', as well as his nationalistic rhetoric.
The city is an aggregate of anthropogenic, natural-anthropogenic and natural objects that are interrelated and interdependent. Environmental problems in cities are associated with consumerism and an irresponsible attitude to nature in society. We need to find additional approaches to solving environmental problem using, in particular, the means of art and design. The article analyzes the potentialities of a material urban environment for the formation of ecological culture in society. Ecological culture is a system of social relations, moral standards, views and values relating to the relationship between man and nature. The author highlights the qualities and functions of design objects that make them ecofriendly. The ecological approach to design has become the successor and development of systemic and environmental approaches. It is characterized by an awareness of the moral and ethical responsibility of the designer and the search for professional tools to solve environmental problems. The role of art-design and its educational potential is emphasized, and the ways in which art objects produce a psychological impact on the viewer are identified. ; The work was supported by Act 211 Government of the Russian Federation, contract № 02.A03.21.0006.

Since its inception, environmental protection has been based on the natural sciences and technology and, more recently, has interacted with the economy, but its relations with social aspects have been the subject of less attention. 'Warning. The environment, however, calls for the preservation of (quality of) life, and man is a social animal. However, if the objective of environmental protection is generally formulated in a consensual way, it will obviously be declined in different ways according to social differentiations. Taking full account of these interactions leads to formulating a series of questions. How are environmental impacts distributed in a society? How can objectives and actions oriented towards the protection of the environment be read in the prism of the social categories? What are the beneficiaries and the losers in particular? Who can make their voices heard and influence the criteria? What avenues to consider for limiting the negative impacts of economic growth with a dual objective of social equity and the reduction of environmental nuisances? These questions question fundamental aspects of sustainable development and political ecology. They are studied in this book, in theory and in many practical cases locally and nationally, but also more widely in the world.
Trans men are people who, based on their genitals, were assigned the status of female at birth. However, their identity and their way of living gender do not correspond to the socially established norms. In this paper, we discuss the different perspectives in relation to transgender people and their desire for parenthood. This review, and the basis of this paper, is inspired by the case of a trans man who desired gestation with his own genetic material. He began the cycle of assisted reproduction when he was a legally recognized woman, but that attempt ended with a miscarriage. From that assisted reproduction cycle, four embryos remained frozen. After the failed experience of gestation, the person completed his transition. Now legally a man, he attempted to gestate using his reproductive organs. This literature review aimed to identify relevant studies describing the relationship between transgender person and biological parenthood. This study comprehensively addresses important aspects one should know when considering a transgender pregnancy. These factors include biological, psychological, social, and legal issues. After reviewing the state-of-the-art information on trans parenthood, the main conclusion is that &lsquo ; the desire to have a child is not a male or female desire but a human desire&rsquo ; .
The ultimate justification for the social rights of citizenship is that they make us more free. This book demonstrates the civic republican grounds for this claim and proposes a large-scale service-to-school program that expands access to college as a first step towards an American social citizenship.

Migration issues need more extensive coverage in fundamental studies. One of the important tasks is to specify the conceptual and terminological apparatus of migration research and eliminate discussions in the migration thesaurus, in particular on the content of migration as a mobility form. In view of this, the purpose of the article is to substantiate the content of migration mobility of the population as a fundamental economic category that forms the theoretical foundations of migration research with the separation of a new migration science. The scientific novelty is the substantiation of the basic provisions of migration studies and the specification of its migration thesaurus in terms of determining the content of migration mobility. The methodological basis of the study is a dialectical approach, abstract-logical method, method of systematization and generalization, the use of which allowed to formulate the basic provisions of migration and clarify its conceptual and terminological apparatus. The formation of migration studies is confirmed by the conclusions of leading economists and demographers. Migration studies accumulates knowledge, approaches to analysis and practical recommendations for migration regulation. Given the complexity of the migration essence, migration studies is formed as a science-interdisciplinary synthesis at the junction of socioeconomics, demography, spatial science and regional studies. The issues of migration studies develop the following directions: fundamental migration studies, which determines the basic provisions for understanding mig ration in the indicator-factor complex, based on migration theories, concepts, principles, mig ration terminology; analytical migration studies, which reveals the methodology of analyzing migration in terms of causes, conditions, trends; migration qualiology, which emphasizes the methodology of quantitative and qualitative assessment of the migration impact on various phenomena and processes. The main branches of migration studies are economic, demographic, social and political, the results of which comprehensively reveal the possibilities of solving the migration problem by ensuring a positive consequence for person, society and state. The development of migration research requires deepening and modernization of the methodology of migration analysis with the correct use of terminology. In the migration thesaurus there are a number of similar concepts, each of which has specifics. Based on terminological contra dictions, the main approaches to understanding migration as phenomenon, process, system, sign and form of mobility are generalized. The multifaceted concept of migration mobility of the population raises the scientific and practical value of its research. In this regard, the content of migration mobility is revealed, its spatio-temporal, causal and consequential characteristics in the context of the impact on human development are specified, and the prospects for improving methodological approaches to analyzing youth mobility are indicated.
