A look at the history of Nigeria reflects that in all spheres of life, nature has provided for the country to be a high performing economic success. Nigeria, the largest in Africa, is rich in human, cultural and natural resources. Nigeria could be described as the Greece of Africa. The influence of Nigerian arts, crafts and design have been felt strongly in other parts of the world. It is lamentable that while most emerging economies are harnessing design education for development and improving quality of lives of their citizenry, the Nigerian political climate has not enabled the formulation of strategic policies that can boost industrial climate of the economy. This has not provided the support and appropriate infrastructure for indigenous design education and development capabilities. The paper takes a look at the current political policies of Nigeria, its economic reality in the absence of formidable design groups and design policy that can enhance indigenous technical knowhow. The paper also examines the value oriented benefits inherent in design education as experienced in developed economies and how it can be channeled to make its contributions to grow the Nigerian economy.Â

IN INDIA THE QUESTION OF MEDIUM IN HIGHER EDUCATION HAS BEEN COMPLICATED DUE TO REGIONAL, LINGUISTIC, AND CULTURAL DIVERSITY. RAPID SWITCH-OVER FROM ENGLISH TO HINDI AND THE REGIONAL LANGUAGES HAS RESULTED IN THE BALKAN IZATION OF THE HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM. A SOUND NATIONAL LANGUAGE POLICY REQUIRES A DUAL MEDIUM OF THE REGIONAL LANGUAGE AND ENGLISH AS THE LINK IN HIGHER EDUCATION.

The article deals with the changes in ethnocultural education due to its digital transformation. The authors analyze the demand for electronic resources of ethnocultural orientation, and reveal some reasons for possible difficulties in their use: "scattered" information in the global network, lack of systematized sources; unawareness of the existence of certain information sources of ethnocultural orientation; lack of skills to find necessary information of ethnocultural nature, etc. The authors also propose the method for solving the arisen problem using information and educational consulting as a new and promising direction in this field, which is a specialized process of providing services to participants of the educational process, using digital technologies and aimed at satisfying their information needs. In order to identify the importance of information and educational consulting in ethnocultural education, the authors conducted a survey among the students and teaching staff of the Mari State University (Yoshkar-Ola, Russia). Having analyzed the obtained results, they came to the conclusion that among the teachers there is a need to use electronic resources of the Internet, and that they are interested in using the services of information and educational consulting as a source of knowledge about the implementation of these resources in the system of ethnocultural education.
A budget is an important tool for the government to implement its programs, which are more or less influenced by budget management. The state budget reflects the policy decisions between the executive and the legislature that describe what the government does each year. This political decision has a major impact on people's living standards, especially in terms of better fulfilling the basic needs of citizens. As is understood, a policy always has a purpose. In the context of these objectives, it is hoped that every substance of public policy will always be useful for fulfilling the interests of the people. It's just that in the context of benefits, each public policy provides different benefits for various community groups. The greatest benefits of a public policy tend to be enjoyed by the initiator of public policy. This study was conducted to examine the effect of government policies with adjustments to the management of education funds at State Islamic Universities during the pandemic. This research method is to cite qualitative data from various primary and secondary literature. Informants as data sources and actors who contribute to the success or failure of an investigation based on the information provided. Based on the results of the study that the refocusing policy greatly influences education financing during the pandemic, this is evidenced by the reallocation of several activity programs which at the beginning of the year had been prepared to allocate several programs related to the handling of covid 19.

The purpose of this study was to analyse the impact of servicelearning (SL) in physical education teacher education students (PETEs). The PETEs (n = 169) completed one of the editions of a SL program carried out between 2015-2018. This program consisted of designing and leading motor game sessions to facilitate the inclusion of 116 children with special educational needs (SEN). The program was based on Kolb's learning stages to promote reflection and critical thinking. Reflective journals were used as an instrument to gather information from their experiences. These data were analysed qualitatively through a multiphase approach, initial open-coding and axial coding, using NVivo (10) software. Results were displayed through the categories of Butin's Conceptual Model: technical, cultural, political, and post-structural perspectives. SL provided the pre-service teachers an inclusive educational experience, allowing them to link theory and practice in a truly operative way.
