Express credit institutions have started their activities only five years ago when the economic crisis came and increased the borrowing demand. Now, we have the consumer credit law and other legislative acts which aim to ensure this sector regulation. However, there still remain problems that have to be solved. The main of them are inconsistencies in consumers' solvency evaluation in different companies, the lack of financial knowledge in society and its information, the aggressive lending and advertising policy. The increasing demand for this service shows its importance and proves the necessity to maintain it in the market while at the same time ensuring consumer protection.

From Crossref journal articles via Jisc Publications Router ; History: epub 2021-01-17, issued 2021-01-17 ; Funder: Non-Standard Finance Plc. ; Changes to the labour process in the home credit sector have exposed the industry's agency workforce to increased levels of digital managerial control through the introduction of lending applications and algorithmic decision-making techniques. This article highlights the heterogeneous nature of the impact of digitalisation on the labour process and worker autonomy – specifically, in terms of workers' engagement in unquantified emotional labour. By considering the limitations of digital control in relation to qualitative elements of the labour process, it becomes evident that emotional labour has the scope to be a source of autonomy for dependent self-employed workers when set against a backdrop of heightened digital control. This article therefore contributes to ongoing labour process debates surrounding digitalisation, quantified workers and digital managerial control. ; aheadofprint ; aheadofprint

(Autorenreferat)

The real sector is a strategic component of an economy because it produces and distributes tangible goods and services required to satisfy aggregate demand in the economy. For this reason, there is the need for adequate credit flow from the banking industry to the real sector, which in the Nigerian case, the credit flow has been grossly inadequate. This study is carried out to examine the impact of credit to private sector (CPS) on the real sector of Nigeria with a view to assess the significant contribution of CPS to real sector growth in Nigeria. The study used aggregate time series data from 1986 to 2010, which was drawn from central bank of Nigeria (CBN) statistical bulletin and CBN annual report and statement of accounts. The data was analysed using multiple regression and based on the coefficient of determination (R square), the study reveals a 96.1% variation between the CPS and real sector growth in Nigeria. The study cocludes that there is a statistically significant impact of credit to private sector on the real sector of Nigeria. This, suggest that the performance of the real sector is greatly influence by credit to private sector. The study recommends that the federal government of Nigeria through the central bank of Nigeria (CBN) should enhance the financing of the real sector as well as improve credit flow to the sector because of its strategic importance in creating and generating growth of the economy.
