; The article presents an overview of the Scientific Production in Social Sciences about Peru. This volume brings together approaches to, and perspectives on, English, Spanish, and Galician language, literature, and culture from the fields of women's, gender, and queer studies. As its title reflects, the book adopts an inclusive attitude to the so-called "others" present in these fields. Since queer theory first appeared in academia, its influence has been notorious within both women's and genders. As such, it is vital to "queer" academia so that it re-conceptualises its foundations; indeed, the contributions here serve to alter the reader's consciousness of the terms "woman" and "gender".The first chapters concern the field of discourse analysis. Two discuss the written work of female scientists in the Late Modern Era and their role in society. Another deals with women's political discourse in South America. In the following section on literature, the contributors question the current heteronormative and androcentric ways of reading texts. The works on culture study contemporary genres, such as video games, video clips, and pieces of news, and take readers away from Europe. The Epilogue draws on the book's intersubjective spirit to propose a dialogue, among multiple disciplines and the people who practise them. As such, the volume reflects the eclectic nature of queer, women's, and gender studies, and their world-wide acceptance by the scholarly community

This article tries to articulate certain drifts in 'social psychology of science' with different contributions from 'feminist studies of science.' This is done in a reflexive aim in order to analyze how gender structures intersect the practices of psychological knowledge production. In this process sexual subjects and objects of psychological knowledge are constructed. It is also stressed, the relevance given in feminist epistemologies to the analysis of subjectivities conformation in the production of science. As well as, to the role of diverse subject-knowledge-positions and its necessary democratic inclusion for a more objective and social fair science-psychology.

The following article summarizes the meta-analysis of policies towards gender equality in science and research across Europe spanning the years 1980 to 2008. Observed overarching trends in the research literature are summarized, including the impact of higher education restructuring on gender equality in science and research and measures for advancing women's science careers. The article closes by stressing three key challenges: first, the integration of gender policy assessment with theories of social change; second, the gendering of innovation policy; and third, re-addressing the question of power and political struggle in relation to policy.

; After more than three decades of Science and Gender studies, it is necessary to think about the effects that feminist criticism of science has produced on scientific practice. The presence of scientific women in some disciplines, such as Primatology, is often mentioned as an example of the change of paradigm fostered by the employment of alternative interpretative models. But nonetheless, it is also truth that those most radical feminist epistemologies, which defended an alternative feminist science, have been losing strength. Helen Longino's feminist and contextual empiricism and L. Schiebinger's vindication of a responsible, sustainable and feminist science, can result into a more viable alternative program. This may be inserted into the wider philosophical program of defence of a democratic science.

International audience ; Turism and coloniality are mostly studied in history, especially when dealing with gender and sexualities, focusing critically on turistic orientalist experiences between Northern and Southern Europeans. The purpose of this paper is to offer an other perspective about colonialism in tardofrancoist and transitional Catalan context. Based on judicial records against gay people initiated in application of the Ley de Peligrosidad y Rehabilitación Social during the seventies in Catalonia, involving foreign men, the present study proposes a re-interpretation of coloniality revealed sintomatically in the turistic context: turism, key element of spanish economy and cultural production center of rising values in a consumerist society that strengthens since the sixties its symbolic capital, produces epistemic violence not only based on national or north/south relationships, but also on social class : subjects are exposed in different ways to the law, depending on their position with respect to cultural practices that divides the reference community of spanish government and its others : young "gays" which embodied an antropological dispute with that dominant community.
