A random sample of members of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) were surveyed in regard to their views about spirituality in the public-sector workplace and whether spirituality should be discussed in their profession. Results of the survey are analyzed and reported. Based on these initial findings, it can be said that ASPA members who consider themselves to be spiritual have a substantially different worldview from those who are not spiritual, so they may behave differently in some ways at work and in the community than do their nonspiritual counterparts. Implications of these findings are discussed.
