Abstract
The paper deals with the present collective bargaining conflict at the railway. First, we summarize the development and legal preconditions. Next, we focus on different demands (wages, especially inflation compensation bonus, weekly working hours) and some possible solutions of the conflict. Then, we deal with strikes and their consequences. Finally, we identify the foundation of a new temporary employment agency as a potential cause for future conflicts.

; For the first time, this interdisciplinary contribution deals with the status and perspectives of employment relations in professional football, whereby the players' union is given special consideration. The first main section analyzes in detail the logic of membership (association structures, membership, services for members as a solution to the collective good problem). This extensive part of the association's policy is tailored to the specifics of the labor market. The second main section analyzes the strategies of the logic of influence (relations to actors of sport-specific or general importance as well as lobbying). Collective bargaining does not take place because the institutional requirements are lacking, so that the influence logic is less developed than the membership logic. The conclusion is that the development of dual employment relations is unlikely, monistic ones develop only in some clubs. From a methodological ...
