The main application of helmet detection is in traffic roads where accidents are more. Even though various measures are taken by government, it is not followed correctly by the motorcyclists, so several smart techniques should be employed. In developing countries like India, the two-wheeler is the most common means of transportation. Though it is convenient to ride, negligence of Helmet compulsion law by the riders is leading to many accidents. According to the statistics provided in the Road Accident Report, at least 98 riders, who were not wearing a helmet, died daily in 2017. Deaths caused by not wearing helmet rose to 36,000 in 2017 which was 10,135 in 2016. WHO has declared that the negligence of riders in using safety devices as one of the causes for the rise in road accidents. Government has implemented many methods to catch the violators. But those methods require human assistance, which decreases the performance and reliability of the system. In this project, an automatic helmet detection system is designed using Faster RCNN machine learning algorithm. Faster RCNN algorithm is used to detect the helmet.

This study was to compare and narrate the difference in the role of team building, through self-assessed inventory by VC (Executive Leader), observation sheet filled by co-workers as well as the narrated view of executive leaders regarding team-building of the newly established University of the region. Concurrent triangulation mixed-method design was followed. Vice-Chancellors of all Public universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan constitutes the population of the study. According to the design, the same sampling technique was used. Four ViceChancellors of newly established Universities and five observers among their co-workers of each VC were taken as respondents of the study. There were significant differences among the self-assessed views of VCs regarding team building and views of their coworkers and narrative views of executive leaders at newly established universities. For team leadership, egalitarian style, knowledge of emotional intelligence and target-oriented communication are recommended
PUBLISHED ; In this work we have used melt-processing to mix liquid-exfoliated boron?nitride nanosheets with PET to produce composites for gas barrier applications. Sonication of h-BN powder, followed by centrifugation-based size-selection, was used to prepare suspensions of nanosheets with aspect ratio >1000. The solvent was removed to give a weakly aggregated powder which could easily be mixed into PET, giving a composite containing well-dispersed nanosheets. These composites showed very good barrier performance with oxygen permeability reductions of 42% by adding just 0.017 vol% nanosheets. At low loading levels the composites were almost completely transparent. At higher loading levels, while some haze was introduced, the permeability fell by [similar]70% on addition of 3 vol% nanosheets. ; We thank SAB Miller for funding this research project. PUBLISHED ; We report on the modification of graphene oxide (GO) with polyvinylalcohol (PVA) leading to the mechanical improvement of GO based materials. First, GO was covalently functionalised with PVA by esterification of carboxylic groups on GO with hydroxyl groups of PVA resulting in functionalised f-(PVA)GO. This was carried out for PVA of six different molecular weights. This functionalised graphene oxide could be formed into a paper-like material by vacuum filtration. Papers prepared from f-(PVA)GO showed significant increases in mechanical properties compared to those prepared with GO or with simple mixtures of GO and PVA. The best performance was achieved for PVA functional groups with molecular weights between 50 and 150 kg/mol. Improvements in Young?s moduli of 60% and tensile strength of 400% were observed relative to GO-only paper. The improved mechanical properties are attributed to enhanced inter-flake stress transfer due to the covalently bonded PVA. Second, functionalised f-(PVA)GO was used as filler in PVA-based composites. The application of a pre-selection method allowed the use of only the largest functionalised f-(PVA)GO flakes. This resulted in substantially reinforced PVA-f-(PVA)GO composites. The current research paper aimed to investigate the effectiveness of training of teachers' performance conducted under JICA, GTZ, and PITE, A case study of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The survey research design was applied as per the nature of the study. A sample of 114 JICA-trained teachers, 379 GTZ-trained teachers, and 760 PITE-trained teachers was chosen. The size was determined using Krejcie and Morgan's (1970) sample table. The researcher used the stratified sampling method. A questionnaire was developed on a five-point Likert scale including five dimensions of training, i.e., objectives, organization and easiness of training content, expertise of trainer, participation level of trainees, and facilities provided by three organizations. Content validation was completed through experts' judgment, whereas the reliability of research too was measured through Cronbach's Alpha, which was estimated at 0.793. The researcher personally administered the questionnaire to the respondents and considered the researcher while gathering data from the teachers. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used. The key findings of the study reveal that teachers who received training are satisfied with the accompaniment of objectives, organization, and easiness of training content, the expertise of trainers, the participation level of trainees, and facilities provided by three organizations. The study recommended that the Government of KP developed a flow-up mechanism for such teachers to improve the professional skills of the teachers.
