The article discusses the standards of curricula for teaching writing to school students in the past hundred years. Therefore, the course objectives of "Writing in the new era" need to be improved in three aspects: to develop the types of discourse writing that meet the needs of students; pay attention to writing motivation, pay attention to "author expression" and "reader consciousness"; refine specific goals, develop goals ability level standards.
This article analyses the understudied film Song of China, mainly directed by Fei Mu, and argues that Confucian morality is spatialized and encapsulated in various chronotopes through the construction and movement of three types of ethical space (the space of propriety, the space of misconduct and the liminal space between good and evil), which enhances the aesthetic effect of conveying moral and political messages. The three main characters in the movie – the FATHER, the SON and the GRANDSON – each open up one of the three ethical spaces, and the spatial constructions interact or conflict with each other in the larger polarized spaces of country and city. Eventually, the temporospatial transmission of Confucian ethical values is achieved when the space of propriety is expanded from the individual to the whole society, the space of misconduct is closed up and the liminal space is transformed into the space of propriety. This ideal moral state has the political implication of promoting fascist militarization in the social context of the time. This analysis of ethical space and chronotopes sheds new light on the artistic technique employed in this silent film.
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to recover the identity of Chinese intellectual discourse, arguing for the necessity of a Chinese methodology in educational research to be constructed on the basis of the Chinese philosophical traditions and the Chinese social norms for the aim of solving Chinese educational issues within the Chinese cultural context.
Design/methodology/approach The paper is a theoretical paper, arguing for the ontological, epistemological and methodological basis for a Chinese methodology in educational research.
Findings The major ontological issue of Chinese social and educational research, also the ultimate goal of the Chinese governance, is social harmony through harmonious personal relationships. The key to social harmony has been seen in the Chinese philosophical tradition as residing in people's personal morality and obligation, which constitutes the epistemology of Chinese research. And the golden mean of moderation by synthesizing and balancing the dualist extremes of views and actions should be adopted as the methodological paradigm to researching social and educational issues in China.
Practical implications The elaboration of these three entities holds promises in the construction of the Chinese methodological system on Chinese social terms and merits.
Originality/value The author has long sensed that the extensive methodological borrowing from the West by Chinese scholars in educational research might be problematic, given the vast structural differences in the two social worlds that the author and other scholars have observed. A paper in English to argue for the necessity of constructing a uniquely Chinese methodology for educational research in China is an absolute necessity.
Purpose The socialist construction with Chinese characteristics must be based on history and reality. According to the requirements of liberation and development of productivity, efforts must be made to reform and improve the production relations, as well as continually consolidate the socialist system with Chinese characteristics. The purpose of this paper is to prove the necessity and superiority of a socialist system through China's modernization achievements.
Design/methodology/approach Marxist political economics is a critical legacy from classical economics. Its core question is also social production and distribution, which is epitomized in the labor theory of value and the theory of surplus value.
Findings Regarding the significant principles that must be followed, these speeches summarized the logical system and prominent features of the socialist political system in the new normal from several significant and interrelated aspects such as basic methods, core propositions, main tasks and fundamental goals.
Originality/value The socialist system with Chinese characteristics will gradually appear through further research and prove its superiority. How can a socialist system with Chinese characteristics innovate and develop? Does the system have a future? Is there any historical necessity for the socialist system to replace the capitalist system in human history? These are the questions that need urgent answers and in-depth exploration.
I proposed and tested a moderated mediation model in which job characteristics moderate the effect of mood states on creativity, which, in turn, facilitates performance of employees. Participants in the study were 220 employees of manufacturing companies in China. The results indicated that positive mood and job complexity were interactively associated with better employee performance through the mediation mechanism of creativity. In other words, employees who perceive greater job complexity are more likely to be motivated by positive mood to work in a novel and practical way, and will then strive for better performance. Theoretical and practical implications for manufacturing companies are discussed.

It is difficult for potential entrants to participate in the instant noodles market. The existing instant dumplings, ravioli, rice, noodles, rice noodles etc. instant foods are not yet very mature; their substitution effect are not obvious. Master Kang's market share is the most direct threat to Big Food Corporation. Among the strengths of the corporation is that it is one of the leading enterprises in instant noodles industry. It owns a good public image and brand effect; set clear strategic planning, development direction and clear thought; strong direct and indirect financing capability. It has one of the world's most advanced production line and the largest instant noodles production base; perfect storage, transportation facilities; high loyalty of senior and medium management. The current business model being adopted by the corporation could not fully meet the demands of the corporation. Among its weaknesses are:: Fund pressure is greater than that of rivals; lack of complete functional and professional logistics company; lack of professional and technical personnel; reserve cadres training have not been paid enough attention; high turnover of grassroots marketing personnel; dreadful execution of human resource assessment system; and management system does not conform to the requirements of the modern enterprise system. Subordinate enterprises are not empowered very much; the Group's information processing system lags behind. The corporation has a lot of opportunities including: government policies point the direction to development of the company; brand promotes enterprise value; enterprises have strong development strength; scale production and supporting enterprises reduce the cost; overall consumption is growing in global industry. There are however threats to contend with, namely: Diversified development of company is a double edged sword; market share of A's medium and high-end noodles is not high; intensified circulation channel competition risking; cost pressures; bank interests influence on the enterprise, and the current business model could not fully meet the demand of the corporation. ; Includes bibliographical references ; Doctor of Management
We reinvestigate the major factors in the low origination rate of home equity conversion mortgages (HECMs) in the United States from 2010 to 2017. We use panel data analysis to consider the variation in time and region and investigate the main determinants of the HECM origination rate. We examine five categories of variables: demographics, home equity, home debt level, retirement income, and taxes. We first filter out key variables and then consider the interactions among these factors. The empirical outcomes confirm the significance of including interactions and provide detailed observations to resolve several disputed issues and make policy recommendations, such as debt priority of mortgage and credit card, applying HECM as a personal or household decision, and the dominance of property tax over inheritance tax.
