Given the accumulation of recent incidents of economic diplomacy in the Eurasian region, and in view of the insistent need to refine the pool of possible determinants for effective advancement of Russia's foreign policy objectives, the following work develops own predictions and verifies them on the cases of Russian bargaining with Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova. Encouraged by the existing scientific gap, this research aims to detect causal pathways leading to favourable outcomes and reveal factors, which help translate bargaining advantage into political capital. Investigation of Russia's bargaining interactions that took place within 2000 and 2013 not only found support for the limited success of coercive instruments against Kiev, Minsk and Chisinau, but also uncovered economic, regime and issue-specific attributes capable of enhancing Moscow's ability to achieve its objectives. ; Im Widerspruch zur umfangreichen Debatte über die Effektivität von Wirtschaftssanktionen zur Erreichung außenpolitischer Ziele steht die Tatsache, dass die Frage nach dem Erfolg Russlands bei der Anwendung wirtschaftlicher Druckinstrumente gegenüber seinen Nachbarstaaten bisher verhältnismäßig wenig wissenschaftliche Aufmerksamkeit gefunden hat. Die folgende Arbeit will einen Beitrag dazu leisten, diese Lücke zu füllen. Das Ziel ist es, die Prozesse der Wirtschaftsdiplomatie in der Eurasischen Region aus der Bargaining-Perspektive zu untersuchen, die Wirksamkeit der russischen Strategie zu bewerten und die Faktoren zu ermitteln, die den Ausgang von Verhandlungen zwischen Russland und Ukraine, Belarus und Moldau im Sinne Moskaus beeinflusst haben. Die Analyse der Verhandlungsprozesse, die zwischen den Parteien im Zeitfenster von 2000 bis 2013 stattgefunden haben, offenbart einerseits einen geringen Erfolg Russischer Druckmittel in Bezug auf die drei Zielländer. Andererseits gibt sie Aufschluss darüber, welche lokalen Gegebenheiten für die Zielerreichung förderlich gewesen sind und welche außenpolitischen Kurskorrekturen für Moskau bessere Ergebnisse hätten herbeiführen können.

The article attempts to consider the appeals of the Soviet screen of the 20-30s to the topic of emigration in general and Jewish emigration in particular. The latter appeared most often in connection with the possibility of re-emigration. Unlike the plot about the professional or political immigration of foreigners to the USSR, the plot with the reemigration of Jews had a number of important advantages. It allowed to demonstrate the progress of the Soviet country in time. It exposed at the same time the horrors of the discriminatory policy of tsarist Russia and the illusion of equality, financial well-being and personal freedom of Western countries. Jewish emigration turned out to be justified by external factors for the Soviet authorities, unless, of course, we were talking about leaving for Palestine for Zionist beliefs. The Soviet screen of the 20s and 30s was critical of Zionism, but even this sometimes became insufficient. Some films had not been released like "Against the Will of the Fathers" by Yevgeny Ivanov-Barkov. One of the film's characters – student Boris despite his Zionist preferences still remained a positive hero. Other films, for example, Mikhail Dubson's "Border", were subjected to numerous alterations, reducing the dangerous topic of Zionism to a minimum. The renewed Russia, now oriented towards internationalism and having discarded capitalist habits, appeared in the Soviet cinema of the 30s not only as an ideal old new homeland for Jews, but also as a universal proletarian paradise ("Horizon", "The Return of Nathan Becker", "Seekers of Happiness", etc.). But not all Jewish characters got access to the Soviet "Promised Land", but only those who were ready to give up their national, cultural, linguistic isolation in the end. After all, the revolution destroyed the main Jewish trait in Russia – the pale of settlement. And now it was time to return and find a share not in the future, but in the present, accomplished Soviet world without borders and hierarchies. The pragmatics of Soviet propaganda becomes more obvious when referring to censorship prohibitions and restrictions ("Against the will of the Fathers", "Dream"), rejected versions of the script ("Border"), accompanying advertising texts ("Jewish Happiness"), as well as to the analysis of the plots of films based on Jewish material.

The behavior of mercury species in the model is interconnected with changes of oxygen, hydrogen sulfide, iron oxides, organic matter, and biota. We simulated the transformation and transport of Hg species in the water column and upper sediment layer under five different scenarios, combining various levels of oxygenation and trophic state in the Berre lagoon, a shallow eutrophic lagoon of the French Mediterranean coast subjected to seasonal anoxia. The first scenario represents the conditions in the lagoon that are compared with experimental data. The four other scenarios were produced by varying the biological productivity, using low and high nutrient (N and P) concentrations, and by varying the redox conditions using different intensity of vertical mixing in the water column. The results of the simulation show that both oxidized and reduced sediments can accumulate Hg, but any shifts in redox conditions in bottom water and upper sediment layer lead to the release of Hg species into the water column. Eutrophication and/or restricted vertical mixing lead to reducing conditions and intensify MeHg formation in the sediment with periodic release to the water column. Oxygenation of an anoxic water body can lead to the appearance of Hg species in the water column and uptake by organisms, whereby Hg may enter into the food web. The comparison of studied scenarios shows that a well-oxygenated eutrophic system favors the conditions for Hg species bioaccumulation with a potential adverse effect on the ecosystem.
