The Acehnese political communication starts from Gampong and embraces all individual inclusively. The political processes and the Gampong governance (village) in Aceh are held in meunasah which is a learning and community center of the Acehnese society. The research utilizes a constructivism paradigm that is to try to understand, explain and interpret meanings and ongoing social interactions. The governance of the Acehnese society is the first-level governance proven effective in advancing the Acehnese society. The political communicators like kechiek, imeum and tuhapeut govern based on fixed job descriptions without overlapping and violating each other. Internet technology as new media having character provides a new thing for the processing, transmission, reception and response as well as the interactive nature between users of new media audiences and it gives implication in media management change paradigm and the effect of community/audience. The system and structure is a form of the local treasure in which the Acehnese society is developed. Internet causing political and social change in the culture of the gampong.
The research about the women parliament candidacy based on problems, theory, methodology and researchanalysis being utilized by the researcher aims at 1) unveiling affirmative action policy in accordance to the2003 Public Election regulation (UU) and the 2008 political party regulation that are suitable policy along withefforts to enhance women representativeness in parliament within regional autonomy framework; 2) elaboratingpolitical party supports towards quota fulfillment process of 30 percent in line with the 2009 public electionregulation; 3) describing and criticizing mass media roles in the process of the political communication of womencandidates of DKI Jakarta Province in 2009; 4) discovering and exploring quality of the political communicationof women candidates of DKI Jakarta Province 2009; 5) highlighting women efforts and struggles regarding theregulation of political quota and regional autonomy are so-called 'counter hegemony' movement. Paradigmused in the research is critical paradigm with Gramcsian analysis model. Theory and concept of this research areAntonio Gramcsi's thoughts; hegemony-counter hegemony, political network alliance, political communication,radical feminism, mass media in the New Marxist perspective (Gramcsian) and regional autonomy concept.The research uses qualitative approach with case study method and feminist research as well as equipped bymethod of the Gramcsian-Marxist analysis. Results and discussion of the research argue that women have beenundergoing marginalization both culturally and structurally in the political realm resulting in injustice of theirrepresentativeness in parliament. The notion becomes rooted in the social structure and system and has been goingas a cultural system which is patriarchy system. The women altogether have to establish and belong to a solidnetwork alliance to give pressure towards the government; those are in power and the state in order to transformconditions of women representativeness in parliament. They are therefore expected to have bargaining positionthat is balanced or even stronger with the state. The position is needed by women in that they can compete withmen and create broader opportunity by which they achieve it by the release of the 2009 political party regulationand the running of the regional autonomy regulation. In the Gramcsi's concept, the equality of bargaining positionbetween women movement, represented as civil society and the state represented as political community highlylikely produce conceptual/intellectual and practical clashes to establish new hegemony whose consequence isto prosper woman community and broader civil society as well as political community. In this phase, Gramcsinames it as 'counter hegemony' movement in which women can present themselves and bear new hegemony afterwinning the conceptual war against the old hegemony. The women's struggles to run candidacy of The 2009 DKIregional election took a form of 'counter hegemony'. The effort was undertaken so that the women can owe highbargaining position in politics that is influenced by the other power namely mass media. The need to supports ofmedia industry is inevitable. Media industry, as institution having capital ideology, might highly possible be usedby women movement/ the civil. In addition, women can take benefits from media to assist struggles of 'counterhegemony'. As a consequence, the women's struggles of counter hegemony are complicated to do due to partialand incomprehensive efforts. The women political candidates of DKI Jakarta possess resistant movement spirit orfighting movement to transform cultural values of patriarchy especially in politics. In this notion, it is evident thatemancipation ideology is not effective to strengthen the movement unless it is as communal vision and missionfrom elements of struggles that can produce women great energy to achieve their goals. Pidie Jaya uses internet as the media to campaign the development programs of the government. It is shown by the preparation of technology infrastructure in this area that is served by the government such as websites, blogs, portals, emails, and Facebook sites. These programs are effectively giving positive impact in the progress of development in Pidie Jaya. This paper uses interpretative paradigms in concluding the facts where both human and natural resources in Pidie Jaya are explored and informed. Theories and concepts are formed by new media (Internet), local government, social and political development, and communication. The new media (Internet) had been playing an important part on the 4 years old district of Pidie Jaya and made this area became one of the best new district not just in Acheh, but also in Indonesia. The challenge is like other areas in Acheh, is to synergize the influence of the new media (Internet) with the traditional values that put meunasah (small mosques) as a specific cultural mass communication place without jeopardizing the goal for development it serves. Film tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media hiburan. Film juga berperan dalam menyampaikan pesan-pesan ideologi yang secara sadar atau tidak sadar menjadi bagian nilai yang diyakini oleh penonton. Di samping itu, alasan produksi film horor meningkat karena nilai ekonomi dan politik yang menjadi bagian dari struktur dan agen-agen sosial. Salah satu film horor fenomenal pada tahun 2017 adalah film Pengabdi Setan karya Joko Anwar yang meraih jumlah penonton 4,2 juta orang. Penelitian menggunakan teori strukturasi Anthony Gidden dan perspektif ekonomi politik Vincent Mosco. Objek penelitian adalah struktur sosial dan agen dalam proses pembuatan film. Subjek penelitian adalah para pihak yang terlibat dalam proses pembuatan film. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data dihasilkan melalui teknik pengumpulan data wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa proses produksi film terdiri dari pra produksi, produksi dan pasca produksi. Semua proses melibatkan agen-agen sosial yang terikat dengan struktur sosial dan produksi film sangat tergantung pada nilai ideologi dan ekonomi politik. Nilai ekonomi menjadi tujuan utama film Pengabdi Setan diproduksi ulang dengan berbagai prubahan menyesuaikan struktur sosial penonton saat ini. Proses produksi terkooptasi oleh niai-nilai yang mengikat struktur perfilman Indonesia, khususnya dalam pembuatan film. Film Pengabdi Setan telah mampu menciptakan ketidaksadaran masyarakat terhadap realitas isi film sebagai representasi langsung masyarakat yang terikat oleh struktur dimana film diproduksi.
Dynastic politics has always been an issue that has attracted public attention to be discussed during the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) process. This is because in reality there is a tendency in many regional heads to try to build dynastic politics. The simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada) in 2020 is quite interesting with several candidates emerging from the family of President Jokowi. This study aims to determine how online media of kompas.com and okezone.com in framing news about dynastic politics in the 2020 Pilkada. To achieve this goal, this study uses a qualitative research method, where the author uses the framing analysis model of Robert N. Entmant. The object of this research is news regarding the politics of President Jokowi's dynasty, in online media kompas.com and okezone.com. The data collection technique used literature study. The results of the analysis of this study present news about dynastic politics in the 2020 Pilkada. In the results of the news framing analysis using the Robert N. Entman model, there are several stages such as problem definition, problem estimation from problem sources, moral decision making, and problem solving. The news on kompas.com clearly highlighted news that was contra or disagreeable with the existence of dynastic politics in Indonesia, especially in the 2020 Pilkada, while the news on okezone.com clearly did not question the existence of dynastic politics in the 2020 Pilkada. The victory of the two PDI-Perjuangan candidates is part of the General Chair's commitment to ensure that his party leads to produce quality young leadership. Of course, the imbalance in the selection of sources in the news is very important so that people who see it can provide a more objective opinion of the news.
Perubahan media dalam berdakwah berlangsung seiring dengan perubahan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi berbasis internet. Aktivitas dakwah yang sebelumnya melalui mimbar-mimbar dan media konvensional bermigrasi ke media berbasis internet. Salah satu media dakwah yang memfokuskan berdakwah menggunakan media baru adalah Al-Barjah TV. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori ekonomi politik media, dan dilengkapi dengan konsep tv-streaming, media baru, dan paradigma dakwah. Pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus tipe kasus tunggal holistik, dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara dan observasi.Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa perubahan paradigma terjadi dan mau tidak mau harus diterapkan dalam aktivitas dakwah, yang semua bersifat konvensional mengadopsi teknologi media berbasis internet. Al-Barjah TV adalah salah satu media dakwah menggunakan konsep streamingtelevision, dan ditunjang dengan menggunakan sosial media seperti facebook dan Instagram untuk memudahkan interaksi langsung dengan ummat. Perubahan paradigma media dalam berdakwah sangat disukai oleh masyarakat dan membuat proses dakwah lebih fleksibel. Interaksi dan diskusi dengan ummat juga semakin terbuka. Oleh karenanya, dalam era media baru, berdakwah tidak mungkin hanya menggunakan media lama, melainkan harus migrasi ke media baru yang juga menciptakan pasar dengan nilai ekonomi baru bagi aktivitas dakwah.
Kota Tangerang Selatan adalah kota yang menerapkan program smart city pada tahap awal dari 200 wilayah kabupaten dan kota di Indonesia dengan "Gerakan menuju 100 Smart City" yang didasarkan pada integrasi teknologi dalam tata kelola kota berkat keberadaan internet of things (IoT). Integrasi teknologi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, membagikan informasi pada publik, memperoleh respon cepat, dan memperbaiki pelayanan masyarat untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui dan menjelaskan bagaimana humas pemerintah Kota Tangerang Selatan melakukan sosialisasi program smart city kepada masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori difusi dan inovasi, konsep hubungan masyarakat, dan smart city. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus; wawancara dan observasi digunakan untuk memperoleh data penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa humas pemerintah Tangerang Selatan melakukan berbagai bentuk sosialisasi mengenai program smart city berdasarkan berbagai inovasi teknologi komunikasi dan informasi. Namun, upaya tersebut belumlah maksimal, karena belum ada pemerataan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang konsep smart city di Kota Tangerang Selatan. Hal ini disebabkan sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh humas, termasuk lewat media social, masih belum menjangkau masyarakat secara keseluruhan. Indikasinya terlihat dari kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang konsep kota pintar di Kota Tangerang Selatan sehingga pemanfatan inovasi teknologi program smart city belum bisa meningkatkan pelayanan publik secara maksimal.Kata kunci: Inovasi, hubungan masyarakat, Tangerang Selatan, smart city ABSTRACTSouth Tangerang is a city that implemented smart city programs from 200 districts/cities in the early stages of the "Movement towards 100 Smart Cities" program by the Indonesian central government based on the integration of technology in city governance due to the presence of the internet in various ways (LoT). The integration of these technologies is intended to improve efficiency, share information with the public, get a quick response and improve services to improve the quality and welfare of the people in the city. The purpose of this research is to find out and explain how the public relations of the South Tangerang city government spread smart city programs through various forms of innovation to the public. This study uses the Theory of Diffusion and Innovation, the concept of Public Relations (PR) and Smart City. The research approach uses qualitative with the case study method. The researcher obtained the data through interviews and observations, and to validate the data, the researcher used the triangulation of sources. The results showed that the public relations government of the City of South Tangerang conducted various forms of socialization of smart city programs by conducting technological innovations that were applied to community services at local government offices. But the results have not been maximal. This is shown by the uneven public knowledge about the concept of smart cities in South Tangerang. Therefore, the awareness to support smart city programs is also limited. The indication can be viewed from the lack of public knowledge about the concept of smart cities in South Tangerang. The transformation of newspapers to online and multiplatform is a necessity. Solopos Daily, as a local newspaper in the City of Solo, is rapidly presenting itself on online and multiplatform platforms to survive. Placing Harian Solopos as the case, the problem in this research is formulated as follows: (1) How is the media business model of Harian Solopos in balancing the achievement of market performance and public interest performance? Moreover, (2) How can the media business model maintain printed Solopos multiplatform?; The research method used is a holistic single case study with qualitative research. This research revealed that Harian Solopos realized that the era of digitalization technology was responsible for the decrease in the number of readers and advertisers. To overcome the problems, several innovations were implemented in its media business model. The performance of public interest showed that Solopos Daily has continuously carried out journalistic principles and is committed to maintaining the practices of dignified and polite journalism. This research has formulated a media business model concept that balances market performance with public interest performance.
Viral events on social media are often made into the news. One of the social media viral events that made the news in mid-2019 was #JusticeforAudrey. Allegations of violence against Audrey made headlines in all mass media, including on Liputan 6 Siang SCTV. During April 2019, projections related to Audrey's coverage were submitted by producers every day. The news values that is the basis for determining the feasibility of an event to become news is no longer the priority of producers. This research paradigm is critical with a qualitative approach and uses the Fairclough Critical Discourse Analysis method. Theory of Political Economy Vincent Mosco explains the practice of viral news values is the practice of commodification of content and audiences. Viral social media events are considered attractive to internet users and expected to attract tv viewers. The practice of viral social media news is the commodification of content. Meanwhile, in the commodification of audiences, television news viewers in the form of rating & share are used as sales to advertisers, which in turn become an economic advantage for media corporations.

Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis framing Robert N.Entman serta konsep Jurnalisme Damai dari Galtung. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa reuters.com, abc.net.au, dan time.com mengkonstruksi pemberitaan mengenai Deklarasi Pemerintahan Sementara Papua Barat sebagai momentum menuju referandum kemerdekaan. Sementara praktik jurnalisme damai dari reuters.com, abc.net.au, dan time.com belum sepenuhnya diterapkan sehingga masih berpotensi mempertajam konflik.
