This paper presents a reflection on sound technological features such as accessibility to literary texts to people with visual disabilities. Address the importance of technology; discuss the possibilities of access to information and evidence the same learning situations for students with and without disabilities are goals of this proposal. Characterized bibliographicreflective nature, this production sees Dosvox Operating System and Program MecDaisy as educational assistive technology resources as well as the Braille system. The theoretical and reflective reasoning is based on contributions from authors such as, Lira (2004), Sonza (2004), Delpizzo (2005), Barbosa (2010) and others who argue and discuss about the accessibility of literary knowledge. Thus, it is expected that the subject contributes reflective process in supply and familiarity with the literature for visually impaired students in learning situations mediated by sound and technological resources available in the regular school.
This paper approaches some aspects of power discourse, which are at stake in the functioning of culture. Up from the studies on colonialism, naturality and identity, it deals with investigating the particular way how identity connections have been textually represented by the so-called postcolonial litearature. The texts by Teolinda Gersão and Nadine Gordimer offer us examples to show how postcolonial reelaborates the connections between identity and otherness in the literary text.
For some time, we have seen various authors question the frontier that traditionally separated the literary texts from the conceptual texts. One of the most relevant authors in this regard is Roland Barthes. However, one of his most famous articles seems to contradict that idea. In Authors and Writers, Barthes seems to adopt this distinction to describe the production of texts. Authors are those who work the language itself, while writers are those who try to develop their thoughts without thinking about the language they are using. If that is true, language would be, for the writers, a mere tool for conveying ideas. In this article, we propose an alternative interpretation of those notions, more focused on the social roles of authors and writers. By doing that, we can better understand the figure of the author-writer, characterized by social exclusion. This analysis shows that the theme of writing is always accompanied by a reflection on its political nature.
; This study aims to discuss characters with physical disabilities in children's literature. The discussion is relevant once the theme has been placed in books produced for children in Brazil, especially since 2008, with the National Policy for Special Education in the Inclusive Perspective (Decreto nº 6.571, 2008). Although the issue had already appeared in some literary works in earlier periods, usually with a stereotyped approach. Children's literature publishers, faced with various institutional policies and programs, found a lode in the topic of special needs. Undoubtedly, social and political pressures for inclusion interfere in literary productions and their insertion in the school context. In this sense, analysing works that do not reinforce stereotypes or refer to disability as heroic overcoming, resignation and acceptance of fate, placing the characters in conditions of subordination and/or that inspire pity or divine will, can collaborate to broaden perspectives on what it is stigmatised as a disability as well as the limits and possibilities of the human being in different conditions and potential. Comparing children's books that bring these two aspects — overcoming and accepting the real versus resignation and heroic overcoming — may help readers and children to understand the disability as part of normality and open good perspectives for discussion on the subject with these readers under training.

This article deals with an object of the History of Philosophy. As such, it aims to analyze the the literary correlations of the texts of Timaeus 71E - 72B, Symposium 202E – 203A and Phaedrus 244A-244E regarding Corpus Hermeticum 12.19, in order to find supposed sources conformed with the hermetic text, and know how they were re-worked in it. So, it looks to ask after the origin, history, meaning and application of motifs that happen in the compared texts, including the Corpus Hermeticum 12.19, scrutinizing the religious-historical correlations in order to find comparable traditive nexus of the contemporary religious-philosophical world (middle-Platonism) of the Corpus Hermeticum 12.19. In particular, this article demonstrates that Corpus Hermeticum 12.19 describes the divinatory arts or mentic arts (μαντιϰή or μαντεία) through the inspiration, haruspex, augur (auspex). It is possible to glimpse the theme of the communication between God and the man through the mantic arts. At last, the present article, based on the Hellenistic approach, puts forward that Corpus Hermeticum 12.19 has Platonic influence.
The aim of this paper is to discuss the importance of children's literature in the early grades of elementary school. Taking as the object of analysis our practices while fellows of the Initiation Teaching Program (PIBID), where we develop different activities different than children experience routinely at school, using as resource main the story telling, without taking the literature with didactic or pedagogical function, but valorizing the aesthetic and creative possibilities of that language. For the theoretical foundation, we support in Soares (1999), Bettelheim (1996), Lajolo and Zilberman (2004), Abromovich (1993) and Aguiar (2001), among other reference texts. The study is justified by the fact that the classes with differentiated methodologies hold the gaze of the student, and to work the literature with children, enhancing the taste and the pleasure of reading by encouraging their expressions, opinions, construction and reconstruction of ideas, become the classes more significants for the class.
; We discuss here the issues involved in the controversy that agitated France in 2000, when teachers, students, government, and society at large gathered around two opposing opinions about the teaching of literature: the new teaching against the classical cursus. In the present essay the situation is examined from a historical perspective, and challenges are identified that are fundamental both for literature and for its teaching, trying to devise to what extent those two camps contribute to a discussion that is urgent today throughout the Western world. The much publicized "crisis" of the teaching of French is discussed based on the argument that the "crisis" is today as it has always been, and as it still shall be, since the mentalities do not evolve at the same pace as the institutional reforms, laws, programs, and official instructions that strive to govern them. To argue for such position, an investigation is made, in the history of French teaching, of the moments of "crisis", their reasons and solutions. Always focusing on the literature, we finally discuss the changes occurred in the teaching during the 1970s, which gave origin to the alterations proposed by the new official documents, at the heart of the controversy that still rages among intellectuals. The text concludes by defending that we should be aware of the existing tensions, aiming at a common understanding and not to the clinging to extreme positions, which are incapable of finding solutions to the problem.
The present study is based on the relationship between philosophy and literature with Nietzsche and Kafka as the main authors studied. The central question of this study is how to comprehend some of Nietzsche's philosophy in Kafka's literary pieces? In this way, the goal is to analyze a potential reading of the concepts will of power and nihilism. The text's proposal develops in two moments: characterizing Nietzsche's philosophy with the will of power and nihilism concepts as main points of the books considered as "mature" written by this author and presenting Kafka's piece Carta ao pai as an alternative to overcome nihilism with the main starting point being the relationship between will of power and art characterized by a determined period in Nietzsche's philosophy as active nihilism. Thus, the text primes at developing not just a descriptive analysis through bibliographic research focusing on the cited manuscripts, but also searching fundaments to arguments made by some commentators of both authors in specific points.
The connection between art and sublime, at first sight, sounds like a certainty, but throughout the 18th century some theories separated this category from the several art forms. Those were the decades in which the matters on the sublime were notably fruitful, times where not only the sublime earns its title as an aesthetic category, but also outstandingly takes part on the epistemological debates at the time where the term Aesthetics were just recently coined. It is in this scenery that some thinkers were especially worried about the natural sublime only. This article intends to show the path travelled by this concept from the 1st century, with Longinus' literature treaty Peri Hypsos, translated by Boileau-Despréaux as Du Sublime to its reception by the English in 1689. From that reception on, the text goes through philosophers such as Joseph Addison, Edmund Burke and Immanuel Kant, who developed the natural sublime theory, arriving to the reinsertion of the tragedy in this category by Friedrich Schiller. Thus, what we call here "the cycle of the natural sublime", which originated in literary production and moved away from it with the Empiricism and the Transcendental Idealism, comes back again within the sphere of literature in the German poet's work.
; The current article draws on Judith Butler's gender performativity theory to analyse two classical text of Greek Antiquity – theBacchaeby Euripides and TheRepublicby Plato. The concept of gender performativity will be used to illustrate analogously even anachronically, how much the Greek imaginary, in spite of being temporally distant, can fruitfully contribute to, what we would identify as one of the most sophisticated contemporary theories in contemporary gender studies, both as this imaginary emerges from the literary discourse of the tragedy or the discourse of philosophy. This will allow us to show how the two above mentioned texts can contribute to the contemporary debate on the critical theory of gender identity, as these are fixed in performative acts that make gender conform to anatomic sex, limiting gender to the two possibilities of masculine or feminine. Considering the historical context and the question that are specific to the world of Ancient Greece, our analysis will permit us to cast light, in particular, on the strategies that Plato and Euripides drew on to disrupt the gender norms of the polis. Examining the texts allows us to argue that in antiquity, as well as in the contemporary world, albeit in different ways, discussions of gender relations are fitted primarily by the political discourse regarding these relations.

This article assesses how journalist and writer Eliane Brum addressed Jair Bolsonaro's election in 2018as well as his first 100 days of government, according to the articles "The revenge of the resentful" ("La venganza de los resentidos") and "100 days under the sway of the evil" ("Cien días bajo el dominio de los malvados"). The research evaluates how Brum used her strategies to highlight the lack of events, that is, daily occurrences and sought to respond to the method that was being used to build the narrative, considering that this typically informative topic is closely related to hegemonic broadcast patterns. To this end, a content analysis was performed in accordance to Bardin (2011) with the following categories: the use of the event and the lack of event in her texts, the adopted framework, and the construction of the characters' image. Although texts concerned the aspects of literary journalism, the topics addressed by the journalist constitute an approach of event resource.
African Europhone literatures in translation raise a series of questions largely orbiting around a now central preoccupation: have the translators conceived their project in a "decolonizing" perspective? In the following paper, I propose to consider the translation of aesthetic features as the principal means of asserting the identity of postcolonial writers. My analysis is essentially based on a poetic reading of Ayi Kwei Armah's first novel, The Beautyful Ones Are Not Yet Born, based on the author's literary heritage. Its French translation by Robert and Josette Mane, L'Age d'or n'est pas pour demain, is examined in terms of its capacity to "decolonize" the text, i.e., to reactivate not only Armah's palimpsestic poetics, but also sociolects and repetitions, since the latter are regularly identified as markers of West African writing. In so doing, I highlight both the difficulties and limitations associated with postcolonial translation criticism. The original article is in French.
