The significant aging of the world population increases the demand for professionals with adequate training to care for the elderly. There is shortage and unsatisfactory distribution of health professionals worldwide, and so occurs in relation to professionals trained to care for the elderly. The deficiency of Medical Education in Geriatrics is a global phenomenon, since only about 40% of the countries refer some content of Geriatrics in undergraduate Medical courses. Even though Brazil has advanced legislation in terms of elderly policy, less than half of the medical courses offer Geriatrics disciplines/modules or content related to aging, besides the lack of training activities for teachers, specialists and researchers in the field. This situation is worsened by the fact that in this population group there is prevalence of chronic-degenerative diseases, specificities in the manifestation of diseases and, consequently, their handling, emphasizing the need for a biopsychosocial model with the performance of a multidisciplinary team trained for this purpose. Despite the efforts of several institutions and societies around the world involved in establishing a minimum Geriatrics curriculum in Medicine courses and qualifying professionals to work in the area, the problem is aggravated by the speed of population aging. The challenges are many and there is a lot of work to be done. The creation of feasible and sustainable models of care for the elderly should be the goal of governments and of all of those who work in the field, not only in Brazil, but all over the world.

This overview of federal dissemination efforts over the last 30 years introduces a set of articles intended to stimulate thinking about certain basic issues of dissemination of education research knowledge and the roles that the federal government can play in that dissemination. The overview traces some of the history of federal dissemination efforts in education to provide a context in which to consider the articles that follow, especially their attention to the main ideas underlying federal dissemination planning for education.
Education is one of the most important factors in achieving the development goals of any country. In Bangladesh, Education has seen massive growth in recent years due to the application of e- governance in this sector. Information and Communication Technology initiatives help to provide of world-class education. The application of e-governance in education sector has led to a new broader of innovations. The purpose of this study is to examine how and to what extent e-governance enhances the quality of education as well as human resource development. This study is conducted following both qualitative and quantitative research approach based on primary and secondary data. To validate research data sample survey method is used in this study. Semi-structured questionnaire has been applied to collect data from the respondents through face to face interview. 120 Sample populations have been selected from the teachers, students and officials of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, and Government College, Sylhet, Bangladesh, taking sixty from each institution through systematic sampling method. Secondary data collected from different published materials like books, articles, reports by academics and regular internet surfing has been maintained to serve the purpose of the study. Study findings reveal that in spite of having some limitations, information and communication technology contributing a lot to improve the quality of education and to develop human skills making them fit for the competitive global market. Researcher believes that, the study findings will hopefully be a guideline for future researchers and academics for further study on the very issue from different angle calling attention to policy makers in this regard.
