Workers are exposed to many types of hazards daily, depending on their work type. Therefore, employers should ensure that their employees are trained on their workplace hazards, identify the threat, and provide them with the tools to prevent and control their exposure to risks. This study aims to identify the determinants of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use.
Methodology: A systematic search was performed using various Electronic databases such as PubMed, Science Direct, Peer review Journal, Research gate, and others. We included original studies that evaluated the effect of several determinants on PPE use. In addition, free full-text studies published in English from 2010 – to 2020 were also included. A total of fourteen studies met all the criteria and were selected to be included in this review.
Results: Findings revealed that workers across the board in various disciplines are often without PPE gear for multiple reasons. These include discomfort, unavailability at work, to affordability. Other factors include a lack of knowledge of the use, importance, and lack of company policy enforcement.
Conclusion: The main determinants found to affect PPE use in organizations can be organized into three categories: Individual factors, such as knowledge, beliefs, attitudes, and socio-demographics; Environmental factors, such as equipment availability; and Organizational factors, such as management's expectations, and workplace policies.

In Inconceivable Effects, Martin Blumenthal-Barby reads theoretical, literary and cinematic works that appear noteworthy for the ethical questions they raise. Via critical analysis of writers and filmmakers whose projects have changed our ways of viewing the modern world—including Hannah Arendt, Franz Kafka, Walter Benjamin, the directors of Germany in Autumn, and Heiner Müller—these essays furnish a cultural base for contemporary discussions of totalitarian domination, lying and politics, the relation between law and body, the relation between law and justice, the question of violence, and our ways of conceptualizing "the human." A consideration of ethics is central to the book, but ethics in a general, philosophical sense is not the primary subject here; instead, Blumenthal-Barby suggests that whatever understanding of the ethical one has is always contingent upon a particular mode of presentation (Darstellung), on particular aesthetic qualities and features of media. Whatever there is to be said about ethics, it is always bound to certain forms of saying, certain ways of telling, certain modes of narration. That modes of presentation differ across genres and media goes without saying; that such differences are intimately linked with the question of the ethical emerges with heightened urgency in this book. ; In Inconceivable Effects, Martin Blumenthal-Barby reads theoretical, literary and cinematic works that appear noteworthy for the ethical questions they raise. PurposeThe objective of this study is to advance the understanding of the connection between cultural distance and the cross-border diffusion of innovations by conducting a systematic review and analysis of previous literature.Design/methodology/approachThis study involved a literature review. A total of 35 articles published in ABS journals were identified from key management, international business and marketing journals. The articles were analyzed by the methodologies and findings presented.FindingsThe literature review shows that the adoption and diffusion of innovation and new products are bound to be deeply influenced by cultural distance. Specifically, national cultures influence the willingness of consumers to buy new products at both the individual and organizational levels; organizational culture plays a key role in the process of launching new products and diffusing innovations to the market. However, existing studies and their findings are fragmented and inconsistent. Controversial views remain regarding the impact of national cultural dimensions on the diffusion of innovation at the individual and organizational levels.Originality/valueThis is the first systematic review of the literature specifically focusing on the impact of cultural distance on the cross-border diffusion of innovation. In identifying the research gaps and limitations of extant studies, the authors point to avenues for future research to develop a more integrated research agenda for marketing, management and international business research.
The article overviews the current state of migration studies in Bulgaria. It is argued that their deficiencies stem from the fact that they are nationally embedded, contingent on ongoing public and political discourses, almost exclusively limited to the sociological, psychological and cultural dimensions of migration, and largely operating with the concepts of community, ethnicity and identity, despite the increasing share of ethnographic descriptions of good quality in the field. The further development of migration studies in Bulgaria will depend on the elaboration of a more complex and systematic analytical framework. A shift from community and ethnicity to gender, kinship, social networks and other explanatory categories is needed. It is also necessary to see the variety of forms of commonality and interaction between migrants in order to see migration as a dynamic phenomenon. Finally, it is crucial to develop an interdisciplinary theoretical framework that would best fit the complex nature of migration.

Abstract: This forum brings together eight scholars of various disciplines who take stock of queer perspectives on Jewish Studies, introduce new lines of research, and show the many ways in which queering Jewish Studies energizes the field. The authors also discuss the particular promise of Jewish trans studies as well as the nexus of queers and Jews in the age of rising populism. Overall, the forum serves as a primer for those interested in how to teach or do queer Jewish Studies.
