During a period of 5 (five) years, Malaysia is a country with a majority Muslim population visiting North Sumatra as a tourist destination, namely 15,243 people in 2018. Countries with a non-Muslim majority population also open up halal tourism business opportunities which are intended to accept Muslim tourists to the country by providing the facilities needed according to Islamic law. In the context of halal tourism in North Sumatra, it is important to have sharia regulation. This study uses the concept of the Qur'an, library methods, and studies of central and local government policies. The results of this study conclude that if halal tourism is based on a creative economy with the concept of Sharia Regulation applied by the government and society, it will positively increase the income and welfare of the people of North Sumatra.

Aceh as part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia has special privileges and autonomy, one of which is the authority to implement Islamic sharia, and Qanun Aceh Number 6 of 2014 concerning jinayat Law is part of Islamic law which is implemented in Aceh through the struggle of the Acehnese people in the application of Islamic sharia. However, after it was ratified, the implementation of the qanun Aceh gave rise to various problems in various circles. Therefore, through qualitative research with literature studies and data analysis through a deductive frame of mind, this article attempts to analyze the problems that arise after the implementation of the qanun Aceh. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the qanun Aceh raises various problems. The emergence of pros and cons among the community, academia and the government, is assumed to be a barrier to human togetherness and understanding. The content of the qanun which is considered not comprehensive and discriminatory in nature is contrary to the Constitution and a number of laws.

This article discusses the problem of the commodification of religion in Islam, namely looking at the perspective of Islamic law on a process that directs the symbols and religious expressions of Muslims in the framework of market-based power as a commodity or business object. The theory used is the Maqashid ash-Shariah theory, to find out whether or not the objectives of sharia law are maintained in the religious practices which intersect with the economic dimension. This becomes relevant because for a Muslim the conformity with the objectives of sharia is the materialization of maslahah which is the wisdom of establishing a law in Islam. It employs a normative approach in the perspective of Maqashid jurisprudence. The results of this study indicate that in the Islamic context, there are several things that reveal the symptoms of religious commodification which are packaged in various forms of industry. Some types of industry still exist which are built with economic rationality to seek mere worldly benefits and ignore the principles of benefit. For this type of business practice, the government with its various instruments or institutions must continue to carry out sharia-compliant supervision. Meanwhile for the sharia-based business practices or industries, there is no legal issue in complying with sharia objectives there.Keywords: Commodification of religion, Maqasid al-Sharia, Islamic law, religion with economic dimensions.

In enhancing the development of Islamic banking, the government issued Law No. 21 of 2008 concerning spin-off. With this policy, it is expected that Islamic Commercial Banks will develop. This study aims to implement panel data regression to examine in depth the influence of spin-off policy and macroeconomic fundamental factors on third party funds of Sharia General Banks. Sampling by purposive sampling, six (6) Sharia General Banks that have conducted spin-offs and financial report data from 2014-2018. The Chow Test and the Hausman Test show that the panel data regression model that matches the variable data used in 2014-2018 is the Random Effect Model (REM). Empirical results show that during the 2014-2018 period, the spin-off policy and macroeconomic fundamental factors had a significant effect on the bank's third-party funds simultaneously. Partially, only the spin-off policy has a significant effect on third party funds.

The study aims to assess the legal regulation and institutional framework for protecting and controlling public money in the United Arab Emirates, as well as comparing it with the provisions of Islamic sharia. The study begins with the concept of protecting public money, its importance, images, and types, and then analyzes the legal texts for the protection of public money in the UAE legislation and Islamic law. Then it identifies the challenges facing the protection and control of public money in the United Arab Emirates. The researcher relies in his study on the descriptive and analytical approach. The study reaches several results, the most important of which are: the UAE legislator protects the public money from any violation through a set of laws that forbid to dispose public money, its seize, or its acquisitive prescription. The study also reaches several recommendations, the most important of which are: the legislator has permitted to dispose public money in accordance with legal conditions and regulations. Thus, any disposal violation will be invalid. The study also recommends the necessity of continuous work on developing legislations that regulate and control the protection of public money in the UAE.
