Based on Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit, Alexandre Kojève produces a theory of an "anthropogenesis" that allocates the constitution of self-consciousness in a markedly historical and social field centered on the "dialectic of the master and the slave". More than this, it emerges in a domaine seized by the conflictuality of such a central operator of socialization, namely the desire, which is always, in the last case, a desire for recognition. Aware of this idea and on the path of the development of an imaginary's theory, Lacan was pursuing the necessity to reallocate certain points of the Freudian constitution's theory of the ego. He was aiming to bypass Freud's supposed "biologism" (especially in his theory of the "death drive") by emphasizing the fundamental dependence of the other's figure on the process of "hominization", in which "aggressiveness" plays an inherent role. If the projects of Kojève and Lacan present undeniable convergences, it is necessary, however, to better understand them, as well as to establish the uniqueness of their distances, inflections and objectives.

Este artigo apresenta alguns aspectos da interferência que a psicanálise exerceu no percurso profissional dos autores, que se serviram da dúvida e da busca por outras formas de atuar nas poucas possibilidades que o processo educativo, seja na educação formal (escola) ou na educação não formal (ONG) podia oferecer. Aproximar-se da psicanálise foi uma possibilidade que fez a diferença neste percurso, contribuindo para abrir algumas brechas para que profissionais, alunos, adolescentes e jovens, imersos nesta civilização, pudessem, exercitar o cuidado de si e do outro numa dialética constitutiva da subjetivação de todos.

This paper examines the role and importance of the territorial dimension of EU Cohesion Policy, during its five programming phases (1989‑2020), by relating this implementation process with several territorial elements, and by assessing their constant changes, namely in three main components and related elements: (i) the 'policy strategy' designed to include an integrated territorial perspective; (ii) the 'policy impacts' in territorial development and territorial cohesion, together with the use of territorial impact assessment procedures; and (iii) the focus on one or several 'territorial scales', specifically through the support to multilevel‑governance, territorial cooperation, and place‑based strategies. Paradoxically, despite the continuous attempts to detach EU Cohesion Policy from its initial goals of promoting a more cohesive Europe into a more neoliberalist paradigm type of 'investment Policy', our analysis showed that the territorial dimension is still very much anchored with this Policy, and even gaining importance in several territorial related elements, such as the support to territorial cooperation and governance processes, and the use of territorial impact assessment procedures.

The aim of this article is to identify the priorities of research on culture in the early 21st century within the framework of the European Union (EU). In order to do so, we have extracted the priorities of European programmes and public policy from the main political documents dealing with culture. The EU's funding opportunities have then been identified by analysing the European programmes which provide funds for research on culture and some examples of projects which are already being funded by the EU are also provided. The analysis of both kinds of bibliographic sources makes it possible to deduce what challenges researchers face in the field of culture in the EU. The results of this compared analysis show that new thematic areas form fields of culture in which there are some research niches. Although this article will focus on these new thematic areas, the analysis shows that internalisation and networking, as well as knowledge transfer, are also among the main research priorities according to the main political documents. Consequently, research projects tackling these issues are expected to become of key importance for researchers and will be more likely to find funding through EU programmes in the coming years. ; O objetivo deste artigo é identificar quais são as prioridades da pesquisa sobre a cultura no início do século XXI, no âmbito da União Europeia. Para conseguir isto, as prioridades dos programas Europeus e as políticas públicas são extraídas dos principais documentos políticos relacionados com a cultura. São analisados os programas europeus que financiam projetos culturais e também são fornecidos alguns exemplos de projetos já financiados. A análise dos dois tipos de fontes bibliográficas torna possível a dedução dos desafios enfrentados pelos investigadores hoje em dia no domínio da cultura na UE. Os resultados desta análise de comparação mostram que as novas áreas temáticas são uma das áreas de culturas em que há alguns "nichos de pesquisa". Embora este artigo se focará nas novas áreas temáticas, a análise mostra que a internalização e o networking, bem como a transferência de conhecimentos, também são prioridades de pesquisa. Em outras palavras, deverá haver mais iniciativa nestes campos e projetos de investigação que abordem estas questões, encontrando assim financiamento através de programas da UE nos próximos anos.

What is the status of the concept of "my nature" in Descartes' Metaphysical Meditations? That is the inquiry of this article. In order to answer it, the present study is divided into two moments. In the first part of the work, I intend to investigate the concept of "my nature" as it appears specially in the first two meditations, namely, as the nature of the common sense; which needs to be overcome in order to give rise to a theory of knowledge accordingly to the natural light of reason. In the second part of the work, notably through the analysis of the sixth meditation, I try to elucidate that, despite its impertinence to a theory of knowledge, the notion of "my nature" is, conversely, the fundamental building bloc of a Cartesian practical philosophy. And this, however, entails some cost for Cartesian metaphysics in general. Surely, Descartes' theory of knowledge is wholly based on a priori elements (i.e., necessity, universality and innatism); but his practical philosophy, in turn, and this is the point to be stressed, since founded on the mixture of reason and senses, must be constructed almost entirely in a contingent and experimental soil.

Apresentamos resultados obtidos com a pesquisa desenvolvida junto ao PEC – Formação Universitária, programa de parceria entre a Secretaria do Estado de Educação, UNESP, USP e PUC/SP, com o objetivo de promover a formação superior do professor efetivo das séries inicias do Ensino Fundamental. Seguimos a Metodologia da Pesquisa Qualitativa, modalidade estudo de caso. A problemática investigada centrou-se nos significados construídos a partir das reflexões acerca das atuações em sala de aula, como professoras-orientadoras das monografias, dos Estágios Supervisionados e da Prática de Ensino, como avaliadoras das suas produções e provas ou como assistentes no espaço de aprendizagem Learning Space. Nossos objetivos foram: verificar a inserção e o desenvolvimento do professor-aluno no PEC, mais especificamente nas Oficinas Culturais onde elaboravam os trabalhos de Memória; identificar o papel e a contribuição destas atividades para seu crescimento pessoal e profissional; perceber os significados construídos a partir de suas experiências junto ao aparato tecnológico do programa, enquanto possibilidade de inclusão no universo digital e, por ele, de inclusão social. As perguntas norteadoras da pesquisa envolveram as seguintes: através das experiências junto ao programa em que medida a participação do professor universitário e do professor-aluno pode significar a redimensão das suas práticas educativas? Em que medida o programa foi bem sucedido na tentativa de favorecer a inclusão digital dos professores-alunos? Apresentamos um dos aspectos por nós enfocados em nossos estudos.

O presente artigo problematiza a incorporação da promoção dos direitos LGBTI nas políticas externas dos EUA e da UE. Em primeiro lugar, examina os principais documentos, discursos e políticas dos dois atores sobre à promoção dos direitos LGBTI no estrangeiro, e as semelhanças e diferenças entre as abordagens de ambos, atendendo às tendências da sua evolução e desenvolvimento contínuo. Em segundo lugar, o artigo analisa as condições internas nos países alvo que são propícias ao sucesso e ao fracasso do apoio internacional aos direitos LGBTI. Finalmente, o estudo apresenta uma visão crítica das medidas que são consideradas necessárias para aumentar a eficiência da promoção dos direitos LGBTI em países com tendências atuais mais negativas e/ou com historiais mais pobres sobre os direitos LGBTI.

O presente texto, partindo do pressuposto de que a opção pela integração europeia e a opção de participação de Portugal na construção europeia se afiguram ainda válidas, aborda a questão "para onde vamos (agora)" com base em três aspetos atuais e relevantes para a sobrevivência da UE, e que respeitam, por um lado, à relação entre a UE e as relações internacionais e, por outro, às relações entre a ordem jurídica da UE e as ordens jurídicas dos Estados-Membros, e, em particular, portuguesa: i) a nova Estratégia Global para a Política Externa e de Segurança da União Europeia; ii) o novo quadro jurídico de garantia dos valores fundamentais da União, em especial do Estado de Direito, e a sua recente aplicação a um Estado-Membro; e, ainda, iii) a aplicação do procedimento especial por défices excessivos no caso português, que culminou com a aplicação de sanções "zero". Serão enunciadas algumas questões relacionadas com tais tópicos e com a interrogação sobre a tendência de "centralização" da União que aqueles tópicos permitem ilustrar. ; The present text, assuming that the option of carrying on the European integration project, as well the option of Portugal to take part in it, are still fully valid, addresses the question "where are going (now)"on the basis of three actual and relevant issues regarding the survival of the EU which concern both the relationship between the EU and International Relations and the relationship between EU legal order and national legal orders, in particular the Portuguese legal order: the new Global Strategy for the EU's Foreign and Security Policy, the new legal framework to protect EU's fundamental values, especially the rule of law, and its recent application to a member State, as well as the functioning of the special procedure on excessive budgetary deficit which led to the application of "zero"sanctions to Portugal – enouncing some questions related to such topics as well as with the interrogation on the trend towards a "centralization" at the EU level that such topics may illustrate.
