The gaze of the Other in Dussel's analectics has an enormous importance for intercultural and decolonial Social Work. Likewise, it is fundamental to understand and interpret the historical, political and socio-cultural processes of construction of subjectivities, knowledge and practices in our America. This paper addresses the Dusselian analectics and the gaze of the Other in relation to intercultural and decolonial Social Work, as a pluriverse and situated sentipensar-doing that is being built in the profession as a genuinely own heritage of foundation of the practices of professional training, knowledge production and social intervention. The conception of an Indo-African-American Other implies for Social Work to recover the shared meanings, intersections and crossings, which were combined in a very diverse and heterogeneous way in different historical moments, socio-political realities and lines of thought. It implies recognizing as Other a pluriversity of ways of being, existing, feeling, thinking and doing as other forms, other histories, other experiences, which are woven and intertwined outside coloniality, raciality, patriarchy and European-North American capitalism. The Other thus becomes a very powerful heuristic for Social Work, from which it is possible to think of an Other world, where many worlds fit. ; La mirada del Otro en la analéctica de Dussel tiene una enorme importancia para el Trabajo Social intercultural y descolonial. This work is based on a theoretical research study on Southern Feminisms and Social Intervention developed at the National University of Mar del Plata, Argentina. The South is understood as a metaphor for human suffering systematically caused by the oppression and domination of an imperialist, capitalist, colonial and patriarchal North. It is a very powerful geo-corporate-political and epistemological metaphor because it reveals and problematises the devices used for oppression and domination. This article uses cartography as a methodology to make explicit the analytical and interpretative matrices present in decolonial feminisms and community feminisms. It also makes explicit the criticisms that these feminisms make of hegemonic-academic-Western feminism. Contributions from feminist experiences in Australia and New Zealand are included and the specific contributions of Southern Feminisms to the theory and practice of social work are made explicit.

La producción de conocimientos inscripta en el binomio modernidad/colonialidad ha condicionado nuestra forma de ver, pensar, sentir e interpretar el mundo. Desde esta matriz de pensamiento, el mundo llamado «objetivo» es un mundo muy alejado de la experiencia humana. Es un mundo inventado por un sujeto que se piensa a sí mismo como «observador neutro». Como lo señala Mignolo (2014), las políticas teo y ego lógicas del conocimiento se basaron en la supresión de la sensibilidad y la localización geo-histórica del cuerpo. He aquí la paradoja de la Modernidad: por un lado crea al sujeto cognoscente y al mismo tiempo lo elimina del proceso de producción de conocimientos. El sujeto es pensado como una superficie reflectante. Es capaz de formarse una imagen de la naturaleza externa, anterior e independiente de él. Siguiendo esta lógica de pensamiento, las Ciencias Sociales se han distanciado de aquello sobre lo cual teorizan. Han puesto al mundo y lo que acontece en él en situación de lejanía y extrañamiento, con el supuesto de construir un conocimiento científico objetivo y fiable. El Trabajo Social no ha quedado ajeno a este proceso de colonialidad del saber. Este trabajo intenta ser un aporte al proceso de construcción de conocimientos en clave decolonial. Esto necesariamente implica un giro epistemológico en la producción de conocimientos. Implica también pasar de la disciplina a la indisciplina. Para este trabajo, nos basamos en contribuciones de la epistemología del sur, la epistemología feminista y la llamada epistemología otra o pensamiento fronterizo.

In this article, we give a general presentation of what we mean by social intervention from the political-ideological, theoretical-methodological and epistemological perspective that we have referred to in a recent work as 'emancipatory social work'. First, we briefly refer to the meaning of emancipation. Second, we discuss a way of thinking about and doing social work that we call 'emancipatory social work', an approach practised from Argentina through Latin America to the Caribbean as a response to the challenges involved in the changing times of 'Our America', as the Cuban poet Jose Martí called the great Latin American nation. In the third part, we analyse the main features of social intervention, conceived as a form of social work, and the implications that these have for training and the political-professional project.

Este artículo se inscribe en el proyecto de investigación "Feminismos del Sur e Intervención Social: genealogías, diálogos y debates" de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Argentina. Su objetivo es realizar una cartografía que dé cuenta de los principales debates generados en torno a las tres grandes posturas epistemológicas referidas por Sandra Harding, como asimismo de las críticas y aportes realizados por los feminismos descoloniales, como apuesta epistémica revisionista que busca ampliar y complejizar los debates feministas en torno a la producción de conocimientos y la crítica a la ciencia moderna-patriarcal-colonial-capitalista-eurocéntrica. Los feminismos descoloniales se nutren de aportes de feminismos muy heterogéneos pero que comparten la reinterpretación de la historia en clave de crítica a la modernidad, no solo por su androcentrismo, sino por su carácter intrínsecamente racista y eurocéntrico. Sostienen una praxis del pensar como compromiso con la experiencia y rechazan la reducción de esta a la mera acumulación de conocimientos. En la primera parte se abordan las posturas clasificadas por Harding y que pueden denominarse epistemología clásica feminista. En la segunda se abordan epistemologías feministas descoloniales surgidas como críticas a aquella y que han realizado aportes muy significativos que han ampliado y enriquecido los debates epistemológicos feministas.

In Mexico, the pupae of the reproductive castes of the ant Liometopum apiculatum, escamoles, are highly valued in traditional and gourmet cuisine in the country's central region. Escamoles are collected during the dry season of the year. The recommended collecting process is to open the ant nest by removing soil until the rearing chamber and the trabeculae with attached escamoles are found. A well-managed ant nest can be collected repeatedly for approximately 12 to 40 years. In Charcas municipality, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, 400 ant nests were located and checked under two land tenure conditions: the Laguna Seca private ranch and the Pocitos communal ejido. The exploitation of escamoles on both tenures was characterized by recording the number of dead and live ant nests. This work evaluated the condition of the ant nests registered in 2012 after eight years. The hypothesis was that ant nests' survival would be greater in the private than in the communal land. The percentage of living ant nests on the ejido decreased by 35.67%. In contrast, on the ranch, it was 26.88%. The percentage of relocated ant nests was lower on the ejido, 37.43%, compared to the ranch, which was 48.1%. The number of dead ant nests on the ejido increased to 33.51% and on the ranch 15.0%. As predicted by the hypothesis, ant nest survival was higher on the private ranch than on the communal ejido lands because of stronger control of the extraction process.
